Polishes -OPI - Mad as a Hatter [DISCONTINUED]

I really wanted to like this after hearing all the raves. I was lucky to get my hands on it after it sold out everywhere...but when I tried it on I was horrified. I have to to give a bad rating but there was nothing good about this polish on me. It looked like cheap disco ball looking glitter on the nails. I tried several coats thinking it would get better but it didnt. This didnt work for me. There was absolutelty nothing appealing about it

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Blonde Degradé
cocodivatime 6/29/2010 10:56:00 AM
This is a very pretty color and the formula is soft and smooth.....but it didnt work for my skintone. For reference I am a MAC NC44 tone and on my this was very icy pink. It has an icy, bluish pink undertone that didnt look that great on me. I imagine that the lighter gals would love it as its a very soft pink. I have the other two MSFs from this collection and wanted to get this one to make it complete. Glad I was able to try it first

This is a great color with the right gloss. It might not be a wear right out of the tube and go for many people

Mascara -Stila - multi-effect mascara
cocodivatime 6/2/2010 11:49:00 PM
This mascara was pretty bad in my opinion. I couldnt tell any difference when I put it on. Nothing. The formula seemed dry, like there was nothing on the wand I am a mascara nut and always looking for new mascaras to try. This was was BAD. Would not use this again even if someone gave it to me for free. Yep, that bad

Eyeliner -MAC - Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Undercurrent
cocodivatime 6/2/2010 11:42:00 PM
This color was so super gorgeous but I had to return it because it irritated my eyes like crazy. The first time I tried it I thought I did something wrong but when it happened again the second time I knew it was the liner. I read somewhere that the formula for these newer pearlglides changed and may be whats causing irritation for some people. Not sure if this is the case, but I can use the previous pearlglides with no problems so maybe there is some truth to it. Overall gorgeous color and I would have kept it if not for my irritation so I'll take off one lippie for that

Lipstick -MAC - Retro Matte - Bronx
cocodivatime 5/30/2010 10:25:00 PM
This color was not for everyone. It was a muddy taupey combo but I loved it!! I wore this years and years and YEARS ago back when I probably only owned a handful of lipsticks at a time. I was just reminded of it when I was reading that Our Pick was the closest color that MAC makes to it now. I think it might be close but Bronx was different. Even more dead looking than Our Pick. LOL. It was very drying but with the right liner and gloss I used to love this color. Mine came in an older MAC tube that they don't make anymore. I think I Back2Mac'ed it about a year ago after hanging onto it all this time I wonder if it would be popular if MAC bought this shade back? Memories circa late 1990s. Love! I'd buy it :)

Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Comfort
cocodivatime 5/30/2010 10:08:00 PM
This is right up there with Sunny By Nature in terms of one of my favorite go-to MSFs. On any given day I can reach for this and it works. It bronzes me up and it not too brown, orange or too shimmery. Its so perfect that I can't really overdo it. If you have MAC Sunny By Nature this is like a slight step up. It bronzes like SunnyBN but with a tad bit more glow. Thats the best way I can explain it. It's a great MSF. I can throw this on without anything else (blush, powder, etc.,) and it instantly brightens me up. For reference my skintone is equivalent to MAC NC44 Would buy again...and again...and again...

Highlighters -MAC - Marine Life [DISCONTINUED]

Personally this color did not wow me when I tried it in the store. It is very pigmented and a bit too bright of a coral for my liking. I am MAC NC44. For others this may work if you enjoy a very bold coral. I ended up buying it anyway because it was so hyped up I felt like maybe I could make it work for me... but I may end up never using it. We'll see. I don't think this is a must have unless you are just into collecting. Furthermore it's certainly not worth paying over retail. Just my opinion In summary, if you are a MAC collector then its worth hunting down. This will go down in the books with Lightscapade, Metal Rock and Ripe Peach in terms of its highly coveted popularity. But in terms of being an all out universally fabulous product, it falls extremely short. Due to its extreme coral color it should be a very individual choice on whether or not it will work for you

Polishes -OPI - Gargantuan Green Grape
cocodivatime 5/20/2010 10:39:00 PM
Oh my goodness I have never come across a polish that applied this streaky. Three coats and I STILL wasnt satisfied. And I hate when I have to do three coats. This is a no go for me. Too much work and in the end its not even worth it because the color is not all that flattering on my MAC NC44 skintone. Disappointed

Eye Shadow -MAC - Hot Hot Hot
cocodivatime 4/19/2010 1:34:00 AM
I'm really learning my lesson about buying things and letting them sit too long before trying. Case in point---Hot Hot Hot. I pulled this out finally after buying it when it first came out with the Spring Color Forecast collection. There is nothing special about this color. In fact it kind of makes me look sickly, like I have an outbreak of red skin around my eyes. Hard to explain. In my opinion MAC's Rule and/or Orange eye shadow give work better for me than this color which is more Coral based than Orange. It just didnt work out how I wanted. I may give this one more try just to be sure before I get rid of it but I doubt it will be any different

Blush -MAC - Cremeblend Blush - Optimistic Orange
cocodivatime 3/25/2010 1:47:00 AM
I'm suprised that there are not more reviews for this blush. Then again, I bet a lot of people were scared of it because its so bright and neon in the pan. I was too! But after reading so many great things about how complimentary the color was to tan and deeper skin tones I had to try it. I love it!! It looks gorgeous and natural and not bright at all. It gives a peachy glow to my NARS Cadiz/MAC NC44 skintone when worn alone. But I also keep reading how using it under blush has an even better effect. I am eager to try it underneath a few of my blushes soon Overall, this is my first MAC cremeblush and I am pleased. You only need a little, it goes a long way. This one pan will last me forever.

Polishes -NARS - Orgasm
cocodivatime 3/17/2010 12:52:00 AM
This is one of the ugliest colors ever. What a gross mess of pink and yellowish gold. Just gross. The formula is a bit too sheer from me. Nothing positive to say about it. I love NARS and everything about the line but this one didnt do it for me

Lipstick -MAC - N Collection 5N

Blush -MAC - Blush Ombre -Azalea Blossom
cocodivatime 3/1/2010 1:38:00 AM
Love this color and don't have anything like it. I have to use the proper brush to get the kind of color payoff that I want, but once I do its extremely pretty. Some people have complained of this looking ashy but I use both the pink and violet parts so I have not had this problem. I would suggest maybe spraying Fix+ on the brush after swirling in the blush to get more concentrated color. I just though of that right this second. LOL. I'm gonna try that next time and report back. Would buy again and again.

Blush -MAC - Mineral Skinfinish-Sunny By Nature
cocodivatime 3/1/2010 1:32:00 AM
I think the problem with this MSF is that some people were hoping that it would give the same shimmery glow as many of the others. If you are looking for that, then Sunny By Nature is not for you. Its more of a matte color than it is shimmer, although it does have a hint of a glow. I am able to use it as a bronzer and it works beautifully. If you are able to come across one without a lot of gold veining it can even be dusted on as an all over color if you are tan or deeper skin toned. If you are extremely fair, it might be too orange. I love this MSF and bought backups. I'll probably never get to them, but thats how much I like this MSF. I dont' wear much MAC foundation but just for color reference I am NC44
