Makeup Brushes -Kevyn Aucoin - Powder/Blush Brush

Love at the first sight, this is how I feel about this large, round dense fine crafted brush. This is the best I own and I don't think any brush can beat it. It makes you feel heavenly when applying loose powder, its density and roundness are good for applying blush, too. I did notice that the hair fall out easily, so I think it needs to be used carefully. Otherwise, this is a flawless brush.

Very nice color for a night out, deep shimmery wine with very little fuchia tone as the other reviews have said. I am NC30, this works on me for the evening but probably good too if i just apply a thin layer in the day time. It's very pigmented though.

My favourite Taupe along with GA #11 & Chantecaille's granite, most neutral, natural w/t its suble shimmer. Simply the best.

Lipstick -Calvin Klein - Lip Color Wash - Bloom

The best YLBB color ever on my NC30 skin & light-medium pigmented lips! Slightly brownish to create more color but sheer enough to make it so natural. Love CK's formula, not drying like BB at all. Too bad it's been discontinued. CK's e/s in taupe is also very pretty. If you can get a deal now, don't miss it!

Blush -Pout - Flush Blush in Wild Berries

OMG! what a cute, pretty packaging and the creamy texture beats NARS multiple miles away!!! So easy to apply and makes my NC30 skin glow naturally! I agree with the reviews that this is the most natural blush on my NC30 skin. Very pretty & pigmented. Def not sticky as Tarte and not as drying as Nars.... And Stila's CC is too messy & slightly sticky, so far my favourite cream blush.

WOW! I just reviewd Chantecaille's Granite to be my favourite taupe, but just found out #11 is equally great on my NC30 skin too! The perfect taupe again being so neutral that everyone can wear it. FOTD: #8 wash, #7 lid, #11 crease, #33 line. The soft classic look :)

what a wonderful light-medium brown color! I use it on the lid, and it creates the most natural shadow that makes my eyes look deeper on my NC30 skin. Needless to say, simply the best. FOTD: #8 wash, #7 lid, #11 crease, #33 line. The soft classic look :)

Thought it's basic, it's the perfect wash color I need to creat a nude look and it's yellow tone blends with my NC30 skin well (I am chinese origin). Very beautiful color and practical. Love the suble shimmer, so natural, so armani.

Blush -NARS - Exhibit A

WoW! what a bright red in the compact but shows a reddish orange natural glow on my NC30 skin! Way too bright if you're not careful. Best to put some powders to set and make it more natural. What a nice blush without making too much effort to pull it off! I have do apply Orgasm twice or more, but Exhibit A is such an easy one! I'd imagine it'd be good on FFF or darker skin. PPP or LLL must apply with light hand. A very lovely mix of red & orange- a natural flush of mine.

Lipstick -Tarte - Pouty
rated 5 of 5
charlyne 9/1/2004 7:12:00 PM

on the sephora website, pouty is described as a brown berry color but on my list it's more on the berry side and it's so beautiful! I didn't detact brown or pink tone on my lips, but a true berry. If I wipe it on the paper, it does look like as it is brownish, however on my NC30, it doesnt show up too much. It's slighly drying but not as terrible as BB's. Pricewise, $16 is not bad at all compared to my beloved GA :P So here's another good buy except its blush which I don't like.

Eye Shadow -Chantecaille - Shine Eye Shadow Powder- Granite
rated 5 of 5
charlyne 9/1/2004 6:40:00 PM

I have to say, this is the perfect neutral taupe for neutral girls. Not too cool or warm. CK taupe was my favourite & it leans towards the cool side but granite is even better w/t its great texture and quality. Other taupe e/s like BB I've used are warmer than I expected. I love all chantecaille's e/s for being sheer, buildalbe and easy to apply. It's "shine" not "shimmer" and certainly no frosty as stila's! Chantecaille & GA are my two favourite lines and they do deserve the price.

Treatments -Carita - Extra Moisturising Corrector
rated 4 of 5
charlyne 8/31/2004 11:27:00 AM

It's a fairly mediocre mattifier, but maybe good for acne and oily girls since it's so fast to be absorbed and don't fee like any residue left on face. I don't see my skin improved from using this product, but I certainly think there's no harm in using this one either. Just nothing particular to me and slightly pricey. I'd give a 3.5 though.

Eye Shadow -Chantecaille - Lasting Eyeshadow- Lapis
rated 5 of 5
charlyne 8/28/2004 6:16:00 PM

This is a very beautiful understated midnight blue with very slight purple hue and almost undetactable grey undertone. Very hard for me to pull off cuz it's quite sheer even it's such a dark color. But once I did it, it's really beautifully natural on my eyes and the way it blends into my skin, just like my beloved GA e/s. The color can be built up by applying wet and layering. Pair beautifully with Forget-me-not. In fact, Lapis is used on the Chantecaille face on Neiman Marcus's website, if you are not sure about the color, have a look there.

Eye Shadow -Chantecaille - Lasting Eyeshadow- Forget-Me-Not
rated 5 of 5

I've only have a few light blue shade as a wash and this is the best among all. I previously reviewed Stila's Chambray as one of the best pale blue shade to wear without looking too sick and bright on my NC30 skin and now I have found a new HG which is Forget-Me-Not. This e/s has a very slightly lavender hue with subtle grey tone and took me sometime to pull it off. Once I did it, it definitely blends into my skin w/t its super smooth and silky texture which I find in every Chantecaille e/s. This looks even more natural than Chambray and is not bright either. This is a great shade to wear in a breezy spring or summer.

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Brick Shimmerbrick Compact in Bronze
rated 4 of 5
charlyne 8/17/2004 7:06:00 PM

It's a very very shimmery bronzer. Even I love Nars and have no pb with the shimmers, BB's shimmer brick is still too much for me. If I use it as a bronzer, it doesn't show on me very well either (NC30), but if used as e/s, then probably a good buy considering you are paying for several e/s. I won't buy it again, cuz I'll never finish.
