BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
beachsexybronze 1/20/2013 11:04:00 AM
This is ok. It looks nice when putting it on and blends nicely as well. The only problem is the staying power doesn't seem all that great. Its more like a nice "tinted moistourizer". However it does make a great body makeup for legs if blended with a bronzing lotion.
For some reason this doesn't seem to make a difference when I curl my hair. But it certainly does when I straighten my hair. (I have naturally wavy hair). Overall I have always loved this product. VERY expensive for just the smallest bottle, but I can see why. I DO love The "One and Only" Argan oil (from Sally's) as well as both I cant ever be without!
When they started making the "Double Wear" I believe they might have discontinued the original "Double MATTE". Now I have used both. The Double WEAR is pretty much similar, except its a bit more flexible and blendable. But since I have used this one (double MATTE) since 1998, I was a bit sad when I couldn't find it during the last few years. SO glad they brang it back! I love this one a little better because it controls oil and shine even more than the Double Wear. A must for oily skin tones like myself! This literally is the best foundation out there (next to Double Wear, and Revlon Colorstay). You can be in 105 degree weather and this won't even come off or rub off. TRY THIS!
Powder -Estee Lauder - Double Matte Oil-Control Pressed Powder
beachsexybronze 1/20/2013 10:51:00 AM
I have been using this pressed powder since 1998! A true HG! A must for oily skin gals!! I use color Light/Medium and it lasts all day! Does not look cakey, gives a great matte finish! I will always use this as long as they keep selling it. MY HG!
Who doesn't drink coffee? :) I agree with all reviewers! Coffee is also another miracle beauty must-have! -De puffs -decreases cellulite (use coffee grinds like a paste with a little bit of water just enough to make it stick to your thighs, wrap with plastic wrap that you have in your kitchen, let it sit for a few hours or overnight and smooth thighs next morning)! No expensive treatments needed! -also a great body scrub before self tanning...I can go on and on, but others have already reviewed this wonderfully! Coffee is the best! Oh, and also gives a nice natural brown tint to brassy hair ;)
Another miracle product!! Green tea is sooo good for puffiness, good health, antioxidents (which is the one of the #1 issues with sagging skin besides the sun and other things), etc. I use these all the time, as a face toner, de-puffer, and drink it! I usually take about 2 tea bags of pure green tea, and boil water, and let them sit for about 3-4 min, then squeeze just a little water out and put them over my eyes, or just simply "wipe" around my face, neck, eyes, nose, etc..even if there is water dripping,...let it..just hold a papertowel under so it doesn't stain/fall on your clothes. Let the tea water dry on its own over your face, and your face will feel much better and "awake"! I also use coffee grinds mixed with facial wash and let it sit on my face for about 15 min before washing it off since it also has caffeine in it too. :) LOVE! Green tea is CHEAP, healthy, and beauti-fies!!
Palettes -Too Faced - Natural Face Natural Radiance Face Palette
beachsexybronze 1/10/2013 12:44:00 PM
I LOVE this palette! Too Faced is just God send for their products I must say! I upload some swatches (using no primer, nothing). Pros: -beautiful soft pinky colors -blends nice -very natural pinks -small are great for travel -colors are eye popping, yet natural at the same time -packaging is always cute, girly, and glamorous Cons- -not too much product for price you pay -bronzer is very light..not too much pigment, it is, but may not work for someone with darker toned skin -concealor is nice, but may not cover as much for someone who wants to conceal a lot of want better coverage -there are more creams than powder (only 2 powder) which I personally do not mind, but for others who may not like cream based palettes, this may not be for them. Overall, this would be great for summer because creams DO last and are generally more sweat and waterproof during hot climates, so I know I will be using this more for summer. This palette is also great for those who are in a hurry and just wants to do the basics and use this palette alone without using primer, foundation, etc...this is sort of an all in one mini miracle. 4 stars are only for wish the palette was bigger and the bronzer a bit darker, but love, love love!
Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - SHANY Professional Brush Set 32 count
beachsexybronze 1/10/2013 11:50:00 AM
I just got these brushes about a week ago and I actually really like these! Now, for 32 brushes you can't go wrong since I paid only $25 from Amazon. Now I was on the fence a little because they always say you get what you pay for. But surprisingly, these are nicer than I expected. I'm not sure how to compare these with higher end name brand brush sets, but these are pretty nice for the price I paid! The are VERY soft, and dry pretty fast (I washed them and so far no shedding and very soft still). I believe these are made with synthetic, but is not 100% sure..as they do have a animal hair feel to them (will edit when I find out). ;) I have used these with my makeup and so far they pick up color very nice. My only complaints/Cons: NO "ANGLED blush brush"!! Not sure why they wouldn't have included a big angled brush but they do seem to have many other makeup brush sets, so I will prob check those out and buy some more from them! They have a HUGE fan brush and a small fan brush..but no big brush for foundation (which is ok, I use Bare minerals for basic coverage and use their brushes for that). But for liquid foundation, not sure if any of these would work for anyone. They have a TON of nice eye brushes, but mostly all of them are flat (except the 2 small blending/crease brushes-which are also nice btw). I LOVE the leather pouch, very very nice, easy to use and store away and great to travel with. I uploaded a picture of each and every brush (and the pouch) it comes with so you can get a good detail on what you are getting before you decide to purchase. Overall I would say these are great for beginners because it comes with so many nice brushes. They dont seem cheap looking or feel cheap at all, and I have no shedding at all (so far) with the brushes. Just wish they included a contour angle blush brush and a blending brush, and maybe threw in a fluffy eyeshadow brush, but overall, still very worth the money I paid.
I noticed these on Amazon, and wanted to do a review since I never found any on here. They seem to be a bit popular on Amazon, so I thought about sharing these pigments with you since no one has done any and no swatches for you. First of all: There are 40 pigments. These were only $42 for FORTY of these! The jars are about as big as MAC pigments, but similar colors to NYX pigments (which I also love). The colors are only labeled as "numbers" and not "words" (for example; "pink", "brown", "mocha", etc..), they don't tell you on them what kind of colors they are, but each have a number on the bottom. They are VERY pigmented, and long lasting (even without primer). (I upload some pics of all the swatches I did-using NO primer, NO foundation , nothing-just my arm and my camera! NO flash was taken, so you can see how each one is. Now, none of these are "Matte"-so if you hate pearl or shimmer, then do NOT buy these. But if you love pearl/shimmer, and some glitter, then BUY these! Now, only 10 are more glittery -the rest is all pearl/shimmer, but VERY pigmented and VERY pretty!! Only cons- there are a few shades that are so similar to a few others, that it at first seems as if you get 2 or 3 of the same colors. But that is not the case when you look at each one and swatch them individually. Another con-there are no mattes at all and NO reds and NO "Black" color either. Not sure why no pigment sets wouldn't include a dark grey or black color, and because you get so many colors, you would think they would include a more "red" or brick red color in the mix, but again-these are STILL worth the money and quality is perfect. Now as all MAC lovers know, they make such wonderful and unique colors, but these don't have too many of such shades you cannot find anywhere else when it comes to pigments, but a little mix and matching you can probably make new colors and have fun with these! Now row 1 seems to be your basic cream/whites and neutral colors. The 2nd row is my favorite because these colors are more unique and highly brighter, and more "colorful" that you can certainly play more around with and esp for spring/summer-GREAT colors to wear! The 3rd row seems nice and more lighter colorful colors but not as bright as the 2nd row of colors. The 4th row-"glitter colors" are great for adding more glitter for parties and night time glam. The glitter purple/lavender one is the BEST in my opinion out of the glitters and #40 (the gold glitter). So overall, these are a STEAL and beautiful colors! Packaging is nice and they come with two brushes (they look like small concealor brushes) but overall, VERY nice! I do recommend these highly-but only if you are ok with not getting any matte shades, and no black or pure red shades (although they have a TON of peachy/orange shades). :) These will last me forever!
I have this lip liner in "Perfect Nude" and its a slightly spice brownish/pink nude shade. Its beautiful! It goes well with any pinky/brown shades. It lasts ALL day (my goodness, as I am now becoming addicted to Too Faced Cosmetics!) LOL It's pigmented, and doesn't rub off easily (a plus in my book)! A great lip liner, going to need to buy more colors! The only slight complaint is it looks like the lip liner pencial might break..not the actual pencil, but the lip liner since its a sharpener type of pencial, but the liner sort of "sticks out" to wear I keep fearing it will just break off-but so far has not! :)
I have tried many mascaras and this one actually brings out my lashes a lot, AND naturally. Maybe because the way the brush is made. It doesn't clump and I noticed it sort of gives a spiking effect (when I say "spiking" I mean like every other lash stands out a little more) but it looks sexy, girly, and very natural. It is waterproof (Or I received the waterproof kind). This is the only mascara I have used where I didn't need to curl my lashes! Love this! Wish I bought this years ago!
Lip Gloss -Too Faced - Glamour Gloss in Peek-a-Boo
beachsexybronze 1/8/2013 10:41:00 AM
Really a beautiful gloss! I received this along with my Sun bunny (actually I had bought the PoolSide Primping set on another website)-not sure if this set is discontinued...Anyhow, I got this lovely full sized lip gloss in the set. I LOVE THIS! Its a beautiful violet/pinky sheer shade (not too sheer, not too dark), and it glistens in the sunlight (it has tiny specs of gold shimmer in it). It's shimmery-without being "glittery"). Its a shade I think that will fit with any skin tone. I'm more naturally cool toned, so this is a beautiful color on me. The gloss is not sticky..it actually feels very moisterizing on my lips and seems to last a long time. There is a tingling feeling, like a "coolness", this must be the lip injection plumping product they put in it as well, but my lips feel amazing! I highly recommend!
Bronzers -Too Faced - Caribbean in a Compact in Sun Bunny
beachsexybronze 1/8/2013 10:35:00 AM
I just got this powder a few days ago, and I just ADORE this bronzer very much! I'm naturally fair skinned, but I tan easy and use self tanner. Now right now I don't have any self tanner on my face, and I tested this with NOTHING on...no primer, no self tanner, no foundation, nada...and the color is still gorgeous, soft, perfect, and not "muddy" at all. Its a beautiful light bronzer that you can blend darker and darker if prefered. I used my Bare Minerals veil brush (powder brush) when applied and omg..perfection--with NOTHING worn! I also then used it with a full face and its just stunning! The lighter gold color is a perfect shade, and the darker one compliments perfectly! Its pricey but I can see why because you do get what you pay for! I will repurchase, Too Faced never stop making this powder please!
I like this foundation, although the texture feels a bit different than other ones. The brush helps, but sometimes I only use this as a light coverage. One thing I do like about this is that I dont seem to need to use powder if I do choose to use this. I wouldn't say it lasts too long, but it did stay on and looked fine for about 6 hours (so that is good). :) The consistancy is sort of like a liquid mixed with powder..sort of like a creamy thick feel, but it blends fine. I would say if you are looking to create a full faced look, this may not suit you. But if you are just wanting to use this as a light coverage average "hardly no makeup" day, than this can be good. They don't have much color selections tho.
I LOVE this powder! I used it a few years ago and forgot how wonderful it made my skin look! It is a bit pricey for a drug store powder, but please know this is an absolute good powder (and I have oily skin)! It's soft, smooth, and has a silky feel after putting it on. It does not break me out whatsoever. It has a very very light "luminous" sheen (but NO glitter and doesn't make you "shiney"). Its just simply nice, and has a nice color as I use light since I use facial bronzer but the color light or translucent both work great! This is my HG powder!!
