Makeup Brushes -Hakuhodo - S103 Pointed Powder Blush Brush
rated 5 of 5

Beautifully made red handle with gold plated farrel brush but horrendously priced. Shape wise, its very similar to the Mac 138, which I don't have. I wish more brands made more brushes of this shape, since it is PERFECT for contouring and highlighting. Very soft and retains its point well after washing.

Makeup Brushes -Hakuhodo - S100 Angled Finishing Brush
rated 5 of 5

This is basically a flat and angled powder brush that is densely packed and soft. It works well to put on powder or dust off excess powder. It's horrendously priced but its very good quality. The red handle and the gold plated farrel is also very beautiful. But if you don't care about aesthetics much I believe the ones with the black handles are much cheaper and look similar.

Makeup Brushes -Hakuhodo - G5553-2mm Powder & Liquid Brush round/angled
rated 5 of 5
angelixia07 4/20/2012 2:52:00 AM

This is a fantastic foundation brush, putting most of the stippling brushes on the market to shame. It's a fairly dense round and angled brushed packed with goat hairs and some synthetic fibers that stick out in between. It buffs in liquid foundation beautifully and I would imagine that it would be great for creams as well. The brush is constructed very well, definitely excellent quality.

Lip Liners -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Waterproof Lipliner Pencil in 9C
rated 5 of 5
angelixia07 4/20/2012 2:37:00 AM

I bought this to go with my full on red lipsticks. Its actually a deeper brick red, which I prefer since its just a shade or two darker than the red, creating more dimension when put around the lip. The staying power is phenomenal.

This is a really versatile natural medium neutral pink shade that would go with lots of pink or neutral lipsticks. The formula of these are great, once they're on they do not budge at all.

Lipstick -Burberry - Lip Cover in "Heather Rose"
rated 5 of 5
angelixia07 4/20/2012 1:32:00 AM

This is a really pretty natural shade of rosy brown nude with very subtle shimmer but appears mostly as a cream finish. The texture is very lovey, moisturizing but it still lasts a good amount of time. The packaging is exceptional with the Burberry design around the lipstick and the case clicks together magnetically, which is really handy. The quality of the lipstick definitely reflects what you should be getting for the price.

Gorgeous cool champagne highlighter with a cream texture that just glides on effortlessly. It stays put without feeling sticky or heavy. It gives off a dewy glowing effect instead of any visible sparkles.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Illusion d'Ombre Long-wear Luminious Eyeshadow in Emerveille

Same fantastic texture as the other shades in the Illusion d'Ombre range. This is a light peach shade with champagne shimmers. The texture is like a cream/mouse that goes on and blend effortlessly. Good staying power and minimal creasing.

Lip Liners -MAC - Chromagraphic Pencil in Basic Red
rated 5 of 5
angelixia07 4/18/2012 1:48:00 AM

Excellent product, I love love love these chromagraphic pencils and wish they made them in more wearable shades. Basic red is a warm medium red that pairs perfectly with orange/coral red sort of lipsticks, which I have a lot of in different shades. The formula for these pencils could not be better. I much prefer this to the formula of their lip liners. It goes on pigmented and smooth but just last and lasts so much better than their eyeliners or lip liners. I highly recommend this for pair with your warm reds.

Liquid -MAC - Face and Body Foundation
rated 4 of 5
angelixia07 4/18/2012 1:36:00 AM

This foundation gives one of the loveliest finishes I've ever seen. It is a light coverage foundation but it can be built up nicely without a hint of cakiness. It goes on beautifully and the coverage increases the more you work it into the skin. The finish is fresh, natural, dewy, absolutely radiant and just perfect. This foundation wears best on normal to dry skin, adding dewiness and moisture. It doesn't wear so well on oily skin, tends to make the skin look super oily within the hour and might even wear off on some. Setting with powder will help if you want to use this but have oily skin, but for some people out there that are really oily and live in a warm climate, this might just be useless. I have oily skin that gets dry from acne products but this wears well on me. Even when my skin is slightly flaky this still wears well. The shine does break through but its fine if I powder it after and blot throughout the day, which I do anyway. Anyhow, this does last all day on my skin and the finish is fantastic. I would highly recommend it for those looking for a light/medium healthy radiant coverage. I wear the shade C3 and I'm normally NC25.

Lip Treatments -Yes To Carrots - lip butter
rated 4 of 5
angelixia07 4/18/2012 12:18:00 AM

It's a decently moisturizing lip balm with some quality ingredients. It glides on easily but doesn't stay on as well as I like. Compared with my HG, Jack Black, this is not as moisturizing, doesn't stay on as well and the texture is not as smooth and lovely. Although this is pretty good, I won't repurchase when there is something so much better.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - # 239 Eye Shader Brush
rated 5 of 5
angelixia07 4/11/2012 2:46:00 AM

This is a fantastic must-have eyeshadow lay-down brush, for packing the color onto the lid. This brush works better than any I've tried at packing on powder eye-shadows. It packs the color on with the least fallout and with the most true to pan color payoff. Mac 242 is a similar and also fantastic lay-down brush that is made of both natural and synthetic bristles. The 242 is flatter and longer in shape but they both pack on color in an excellent way. The 239 handles powder shadows the best since its made of all natural goat fibers and the 242 works best with cream shadows and primers since it has some synthetic bristles in them. The 239 also works well to get color across the lower lash line and is a good smudger. I find that with the 239, there is no need for a pencil brush for going on the lower lash line. If you have brows that don't need too precise of filling, the 239 also gives a very natural brow finish when turned onto the tip and used as a brow brush. I think the 239 works well with cream products too, it's just that the 242 handles creams better. I think both brushes are must haves.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Blush Brush
rated 3 of 5
angelixia07 4/10/2012 1:53:00 AM

The brush works okay for both blush and powder, but it nothing amazing. Compared to the newer generations of super fine synthetic taklon bristles as seen in Sigmax and Real Techniques brushes, the bristles in this blush brush seems slightly rougher. The head of the brush is slightly flat and it comes to a point. However, it is way too big for use as a blush brush; the size is actually much better for powdering all over the face. I just think the bristles are a bit too dense and coarse for applying blusher, it does blend too well and some blushes can appear patchy. As a powder brush, it works okay especially for loose powder, not so much for pressed since its dense, but I still have other brushes that works better for setting powder. I just wouldn't recommend buying this one period, there are better alternatives even at comparable prices like those in the Real Techniques range.
