This is a very unique, soft, coral-pink shade. It's bright, but can still be appropriate for professional situations, and brings out all the warmth in my face! It is a bit drying though, (I recommend putting a rich balm underneath), but otherwise, it's a lovely shade that will look great on warm skintones, from alabaster, to buff, to olive, to honey. It makes your lips look juicy, kissable, and very date-appropiate, and it HARDLY comes off on anything!!! Not even joking..it sticks to your lips, not your coffee cup.
I got this as a gift. From a friend. Who swore by all things Hard Candy. And I was blown over by the cuteness of this product!! A little round container with a glitter-cream shadow..mirror and a little liner to match! Simply adorable! Then I tried it on. It was the driest product EVER!!! I could barely get enough product on, and the gritty glitter scratched my eyelids and was really uncomfortable. And creased. Like crazy! The liner and cream were not creamy at all, either, which really sucked because the color was awesome.
I purchased this in 19 Pure Red. It's a sort of pinky red..not at all the red I was looking for, and dried to a very matte, dry finish even with a balm underneath. PROS: It doesn't budge! Intense color! CONS: The texture is way too dry for me. The color doesn't look good with my warm skin. It smells like cheap, kiddie lipstick. It has a small little bullet, which is annoying for someone with fuller lips! (Me.) It doesn't say the name on the bottom, it just has a number. My lips felt caky and thick with product. The lipstick almost seemed to crumble after a while. NOT THRILLED.
I have mixed feelings about this product: I love the texture. The sweet scent! The feel on the lips. (Like buttah, babayy!!) The sleek packaging. The list continues. However, on my light, neutral-toned skin, this made me look like a hooker/pole dancer/bimbo/porn star/trailer park ho/ you name it, I looked it. On my skin it looks almost neon, and it's SUPERRR bright and super tacky-looking!
People say this showed up very "cool" or "lilac-y" on them, but this showed up as a nice, soft pink with just touches of lilac-purples in the mix, creating a very glamorous yet unique shade on the lips. I have warm coloring, but this slightly-cool lipstick looked very classy on me! It made me feel beautiful and sexy and glamorous, like "va-va-voom" BOMBSHELL glamorous!! It's great for a night out, a hot date, a party, any fun, exciting place! I guess, for work or school, you could dab it on as more of a stain to tone down the intense color. It's creamy, long wearing, and fabulous quality!
It's a metallic beige with an almost green tint, that can subtly enhance the eye when applied. A lot of people complained about glitter chunks, and major-super-duper-glittery-disgusting fall-out, which I did not experience. I applied this color with my finger, and some of the glitter pieces WERE a little extreme, but none fell onto my cheeks or got anywhere else. (MAYBE it's because of the primer I used, I don't know!) But, anyway, it's a gorgeous, fresh color that totally enhances your peepers, and makes them look very alive and frosty! I love it and I wear it often!
Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Plum

This is a gorgeous shade with a beautiful formula. It's a soft plum color that you can build up very easily. It's perfect for winter time, and could work as a "my lips but BETTER" shade. I loveeeee the name too, I mean, come on, SUGAR PLUM just sounds so sweet and delicious! It makes me want to just eat it!!! The packaging I'm not crazy about, and the product can smoosh in the lid sometimes, but it's gorgeoussssssss!!! Anyway, I will not be repurchasing, sadly, because it's nothing I can't live without.
Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Red Velvet

ONLY CON: The packaging, (to me), looks sort of tacky. PROS: The color is gorgeous and rich. The formula is delectable and moisturizing! It's like a gloss and a lipstick all in one. No scent. No taste. Can work as a stain too. The color makes me feel confident AND sexy. I recommend this, yalls, but, sadly, I have other formulas that I prefer. PEACE OUT!
I hated this because: The scent was gross. It burned. It didn't do anything for my lips, it just sat there. I hated the taste. It was a waste of money. It was nothing to rave about, and nothing I want near my lips or in my handbag. THE END.
I adore this lipstick. It's beautiful, velvet-smooth, and a totally seductive, sexy color that you could tone down or amp up for day or night! It's a really rich, earthy red/berry color that mimics the delectable shade of ripe fruit, and makes a very bold statement when applied to the full extent. It's extremely easy to build up, too, which I love! It could be anything from a light, berry shade to a dark, rich eggplant/violet shade that's so intense on the lips! NYX has great lipsticks, and I totally recommend this one. The only thing is, it takes a while to set. You have to be patient if you don't want it to smear everywhere!
This product was described as "a moisturizing gloss and balm". It was not in any way moisturizing, and there was no balm to be found. All I got was a cheap-o lipstick and a sticky, icky gloss that was so thick you could use it like glue. When I applied it, it looked like I had just indulged in sticky, gooey cake frosting, which settled into all the little lines on my lips and made me look super tacky and gross. It smelled chemically too, and the little plastic cap over the lipstick part was hard to take off and put back on without taking chunks of product out of the lipstick. If you want to look like a hot mess, buy this product. It's just another candidate for the garbage can.
When I bought this, I thought it looked simply beautiful. A classy, ladylike, but still playful color: Pure perfection. I went home and did the whole deal: The base, Teddy Girl, and a topcoat. Teddy Girl is so freaking streaky!!!!! I hated it! It bubbled and dripped and was hard to get an even color, and I don't have these problems with other Butter London Nail polishes!
I tried this on in the store, and it barely picked up any pigment. When I blended it out on my hand, it looked sheer, sheer, sheer, and all I got was chunks of glitter. This an over-hyped, over-priced product that isn't much to really rave about. I have fair skin, and this barely showed up on me! When I packed on enough product, it looked very, very, orange, too orange in fact. Too orange and glittery. Plus, compared to some drugstore brands, the amount of product is a joke. It's not finely-milled either; it's gritty like sandpaper. Gritty and bumpy. Not a fan.
I love this product!!!! AHHHH it's amazing. Yes, it's a little thick, but it moisturizing amazingly well. The packaging peeves me, though, the twist-off lid is often hard to open. But the product inside is pure gold! I apply it on my lips, my elbows, dry patches on my face, my cuticles, anywhere and everywhere I need moisture. It's great for airplanes!!
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Born Lippy Lip Balm

I found this little thingy tucked in a drawer, collecting dust and being all depressing. So, I popped the cap and smoothed on a layer of the watermelon flavor, a sheer, pinky gloss. It was surprising thick, not sticky, but thick, and smooth like butter. The smell was pleasant enough, like watermelon-flavored gum, but it wasn't long before my lips began to peel and get dryer and dryer with every application. I've had this stuff when I was a kid, pretty cray, right? And, yes, it does give you a delectable, tasty shine, but it makes your lips soooo dry! It'd only good for playing with when you're a little kiddy, not to become a staple or must-have of any other woman's makeup bag.
