I love MAC products and hate writing negative reviews on them. So when I switched out silica powder to try the Prep+Prime transparent Finishing powder, I thought it'd be good for me. Silica powder does not come in a nice little compact and the powder gets everywhere. It sucks and I had wanted to find an alternative. I thought that this powder could replace Silica powder for me. Little did I know it wouldn't even come close. When I was still oily and wanted to look oil free, this did not help. I also wanted to use it to set my make-up and keep it lasting all day. It didn't do that. So basically this is a clear powder that did nothing for me. It sucks it really does.
Concealers -Cover Girl - Covergirl & Olay Concealer Balm

This is fairly creamy and works very well with dry under eye areas. I need a decent amount of coverage (medium-full) and this is more of a medium. I like how it doesn't cake on the skin. It covers broken capillaries around my nose too. The only cons I could think about this was that it disappears within the day. We're talking maybe 4hrs of coverage and it's gone. The other part is that it doesn't cover redness, acne or, redness caused by acne. So it's not for all over. Just the eyes and some broken capillaries. I'll keep it around for good days when I just need to do my under eyes. I'm on the fence. If they could have gotten this to last longer and cover acne, I'd forever buy it.
I haven't seen a difference with this. I use it under the Moisture Magnet moisturizer. Neither really seem to do much to moisturize my skin. I will probably discontinue use of the Moisture Magnet and find a different day moisturizer along with a good night time one. Honestly the masks I use (Flower & Tonic and Temporary Lifting) tend to be the ones that make my skin look amazing. Everything else just sort of supports those two. I
Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

I had an associate in Sephora try this on me. I'm not sure if it's how they apply it, the lighting, or the fact that most liquids hate my skin (aka get cakey on it). I don't know. But this caked like crazy. I looked like I was in my late 30's because my skin just looked like orange crap. Yes it was orange, it settled into pores, and didn't cover healing acne (it wasn't that obvious before the make-up but it made it just shout out OMG LOOK AT YOUR ACNE). I felt like I had a mask on that was very drying. I have no idea why it was recommended for me as I wanted medium coverage and something that had more of a natural finish to it (it looked matte to me).
Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
Miaoudeminou 2/22/2013 6:13:00 PM
I wanted to like this. I had found an already opened bottle in stores and tested it on the back of my hand. It seemed similar to Revlon Colorstay so I thought it might be a bit different on my skin. Time to face the sad facts: It caked pretty badly on my skin. I have dry spots and whether I'm wearing make-up or not, you can't tell (it's not flaky). It was also blotchy. Other than that it lasted well and evened out everything nicely. I just can't get liquid to not cake on my skin. I've tried different moisturizers, I've tried crappy primers (cause acne), and I've tried waiting times between applying moisturizer & primer (along with trying with one and without the other).
I really wanted to love this. I loved the packaging and liked how long the foundation lasted on me. That was about where it stopped though. From there I had caking in certain spots (so it looked spotty too), it didn't cover redness around my nose at all but was fine with my cheeks, and I broke out in acne. It's one of the rare (5-10) high end foundations I've tried. So far nothing impresses me and I'm still on the look out for the HG of foundations.
Concealers -Hard Candy - Lite Bright Whipped Brightening Concealer

I really wanted to like this. Heck if I could have found a drugstore brightener this cheap and it worked, they'd have me as a customer for life! Unfortunately though it did not work for me. It got cakey and creased. It was pretty obvious that I had this on yet it didn't cover up much of the darkness I have.
Foundations -FLOWER Beauty - Skincognito Stick Foundation

Right now I'm leaving this a 3. I barely tried the product but I was actually angry about the packaging. I twisted up the stick just to see how much you get with this. By the way it's very little. But in doing so the stick snapped off and came out of the packaging. Kinda frustrating. So far I like the product and it seems like it'd be a good over all product for the face (as a foundation & light concealer). It's the lack of product and breakage that has me on the fence. 3/24/13 update: I have since stopped using this. It's okay for a quick fix but I have other products I'd rather use.
I had filled out the questionnaire online and went about with the samples. This was one of them I received (I was also supposed to get the lotion but it never came). Anyways so I started using all of my samples and my skin just looks amazing right now. When I had a pimple I'd put this cream on it and it'd almost disappear! I love this stuff so much. The fun part is that I barely use a pinhead size dot of this and it works. The little sample jar will last me months as my skin has cleared up with the use of their other products. So I did put "yes" for re-buying but it'll be months before I'll have to do so. Completely worth it. Mario Badescu is worth the money for what you get!
Treatments (Eye) -Mario Badescu - Hyaluronic Eye Cream
Miaoudeminou 1/20/2013 12:13:00 PM
This seems really watery. I was put off and thought "great another disappointing eye cream". I've tried so many drugstore eye creams that don't work. No moisture and don't seem to do anything. This moisturizes like crazy for me though. I can feel a difference in my under eye area but I don't see one. Fine lines haven't been reduced and the area is still dark. I'm not sure, besides moisturizing, that this is doing anything for me. The moisture is nice but I'd like to fix the fine lines and darkness. I might look for something else when I finish this.
I'm on the fence about this. It's a nice foundation that does not collect on dry spots (this entire line is great for normal or dry skin). I, however, probably wouldn't recommend any of this to anyone with oily skin. I think it'd slide off when the oil is being produces. That being said, I other wise think its just okay. It's light weight and covers redness. Yet settles into my orange-rind like pores horribly. The powder doesn't do this but the liquid does.
I really do need to just go out and buy a full sized tube of this. I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! Where do I start!?!? This makes my lashes look like false lashes. I love it. It lengthens them, fans them out, and gives volume. I typically will use this on top of another mascara (for curl & thickness). It works so nicely and is worth the money IMO.
Hair Color -Amphigory - Special Effects in Deep Purple
Miaoudeminou 1/5/2013 11:01:00 PM
I loved the color this gave me. Yet I tried just about everything under the sun to get it to not bleed out. It'd bleed onto EVERYTHING when wet or dry. I don't know if I used too much or what I did. I'm just so sad that I couldn't get it to work for me. I'm still on the lookout for a purple that doesn't bleed :(
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Caresse Shine Stain / Shine Caresse
Miaoudeminou 1/5/2013 9:14:00 PM
I really wanted to like these. I'm still on the fence about them. They're nice as a gloss but like most products intended to be a stain, the color is too much. I'm a lip balm type gal and usually don't wear lip products other than balm. I like the texture of these as they go on smooth and don't dry out lips. For the most part that's what I like about them. I have pretty pigmented lips. I tested the staining out on the back of my hand and it left a mark. Yet I can't tell, once the gloss is gone, that this has stained my lips. I'll keep using this and update my review in the future.
Pressed Powders -Revlon - Nearly Naked Pressed Powder
Miaoudeminou 1/5/2013 9:11:00 PM
I'm going to start this by describing my skin. I have combination. For the most part it's normal with an oily nose & cheeks. I have a little bit of redness in my cheeks and once in a while a pimple or two. With needing so little coverage I was hoping to use this as a foundation. I can use Maybelline Dream Matte powder as a foundation. But this I cannot. It'd be best for just setting liquid. It takes a lot for it to get cakey. It feels so smooth (which is my favorite part about this powder). But other than that it does nothing for redness. It does last all day but I get a bit oily. Honestly if they made a powder foundation version of this I would buy it up. As is though I'll not repurchase. Over all I'd definitely suggest to use this as a setting powder. If you're oily, pass it up.
