Cleansers -Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
rated 3 of 5

This stuff takes all my makeup off wonderfully. It's probably the one makeup remover I've used where nothing is left behind on my eyes... Not a trace of anything! The one thing I'm not sure about is that the balm gets kinda dirty since you keep dipping your hand into it and it also leaves my eyes with an oily film after I rinse. It goes away but it can be annoying. I don't use this all the time, just when traveling, and I do my regular face cleansing routine afterwards. It def works well and is easy to tote around, but maybe a more hygienic delivery would be better( which I don't know is possible with it being a balm) and a way to lessen the oily film in my eyes after rinsing would be great. I like it but it's not as convenient for me as a my hygienic squeeze tube. the look of the balm can be a little bit of a turn off when it starts to get gross. And it can be drying.

Concealers -Maybelline - Cover Stick

Not a bad concealer. I repurchased this once and will prob get it again. I do like the texture, it's not too creamy so it doesn't slide off, but it's still easy to apply. The only thing is that's it does fade after a few hours and by the end of a wok day its pretty much gone. I wouldn't use this for more heavy duty concealing or if I need something that will last for hours, but it's pretty good for a normal day or if you're heading out for a little.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - PanOxyl 10% Foaming Face Wash
rated 2 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 9/25/2011 5:11:00 PM

not bad. It's a thick sort of cream that is somewhat foamy just don't expect bubbles or anything. I have been using this for about a few weeks. While my skin isn't miraculously clearing up, it's does feel a little more controlled I guess, but I can't tell. It hasn't dramatically changed the cystic acne in any way that I've noticed aside from just drying which is one thing to definitely keep in mind- it's a very drying soap. After a few days you can feel it. I don't recommend using it every day, but some people may be able to handle it. It's too irritating and drying for me to use every day even though I get oily, so I think I'm only going to use it once every other day which should be enough to keep my zits from going out of control (I break out constantly on my chin and sometimes forehead). So far it's not bad, but I'm definitely lessening the use to see if it makes it more effective as opposed to irritating my skin. ******Edit- too drying and not effective enough. Went back to proactiv and it's waaay better. Would like to return this!****

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Airy Fairy
rated 4 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 9/17/2011 10:37:00 PM

I ordered it offline since it's hard to find in stores. At first I was hesitant cause nude/pink shades can be iffy, but this is actually pretty on me (when layered with a clear gloss). I'm an NC35, asian/yellow skin tone, tans easily. this has almost a sheer quality to it that prevents it from looking too thick and dramatic, and has just enough pink and pigment in it to show up on your lips. It also manages to look natural at the same time which is good. I can seriously wear this anytime. Work, going out, whenever. The only thing is that it can feel drying but a balm on first, then this, then a gloss over it cause it can kinda sink into my lip lines if I don't. The gloss over it makes the color warmer and blend with my skin tone better too. I like the case it came in. It snaps shut and is a burgundy purple tube with a silvery middle at the closure this is definitely a nice lipstick but i need gloss to make it reach it's full potential with me. I like how it's not super pink but almost lavender pink.

Lipstick -NYX - Round Lipstick in Pumpkin Pie #630
rated 2 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 9/17/2011 10:22:00 PM

The only way I can get this to look ok is with lip gloss layered over it. On it's own...no. It's weird, this lipstick almost has an oily texture (slipperyt?) yet settles into the lines on my lips- not very flattering. And my lips aren't dry or chapped either so there's no reason for it. And the shade itself on my lips (which are very red and pigmented) isn't flattering. It's like a peach/praline-y kinda color that sits on my lips and doesn't absorb. It just looks cheap on my mouth and very uneven. Wearing gloss over it kinda helps and makes it more wearable, but even so I like my lipstick to perform well on its own. I have other colors from this NYX line and I like them a lot more and they don't feel as weird and slippery and look a lot better. I'm totally returning this if I can find the receipt...

Skincare - Face -Oxy - Oxy Maximum Daily Cleansing Pads
rated 3 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 9/15/2011 10:18:00 PM

I had to change some things in my first review so this is more updated. These are good at sopping up oil and cleaning your face- it's really good at taking makeup off too, which I didn't expect (but don't use it on your eyes or mouth, it's too strong for that). I had a bad acne flareup as a reaction to another skincare line and this helped calm it down at first and dry out the cystic acne that I was getting. For a few days my skin seemed like it had less clogged pores on my chin and my forehead seemed clearer. Then I got some bumps on the side of my nose and some little ones on my chin started surfacing again (they were smaller but still kinda painful). They aren't as bad as they could be, but I still don't like that they're there. I think these do help with the flareups but definitely use these sparingly after your skin starts to get better. I feel like if you use these a lot your skin can get irritated and cause bumps if you are sensitive to the ingredients. The bottom line for me..I kept getting zits with this, the only thing that happened was that my skin got irritated. One pad has way too much product and it's soaking with harsh stuff. I really like that it does remove oil, makeup, etc, but my main concern is breakouts. I don't need extra bumps or more zits!!

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Niora - alpha clear cleanser
rated 2 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 9/11/2011 9:54:00 AM

I hate to be the first to not praise this stuff but unfortunately this did not work for me! I did like the faint fruit scent and texture. I used this for about 2 weeks and the first week it was fine, not doing much but not creating any problems. By the end of week 2 my face had so many clogged pores..chin area, side of my nose, forehead erupted some zits...a mess. Yes, I've been stressed out due to work, and I would try to use it longer to see if it's just a phase, but my thoughts (and after talking w. Some others) are that some of the ingredients are likely to cause breakouts and it's just not for some oily gals prone to breakouts like myself. I dont want to risk getting more skin blemishes! I also didn't like how dewy my skin became...it would be a lot oilier throughout the day from this stuff, and i'm already oily to begin with. It's a 2-step system and the spray exfoliator might be moisturizing to a fault...like it's fine if you're actually clearing up but if you're not getting results it's not worth it. So bottom line for me is that...I could see this working for dry-skinned folks but not oily, acne prone ladies. Try it but don't be surprised if it's not what you expect.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Honey I Washed the Kids soap
rated 4 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 9/6/2011 6:17:00 AM

I like this soap- it has a nice sweet scent that is kind of unique (like caramel/lemon?) and it seems to be a decent cleanser. I don't find it to be super drying or moisturizing, it's just a cleanser that rinses off pretty easily. Def more slippery than, say, Dove, but I do like how it comes off quickly and I don't feel like there's any residue left behind. I can tell that it does kinda melt quickly though...the "rind" of the soap (the darker honeycomb part that is on the edge) sticks out now after only 3 washes, not to mention it can be kinda awkward with it not going down. I don't leave the soap where it can get wet when not in use so I know it's just from using it in the shower. The rind part is a little rougher. Maybe next time I'll see if I can get them to cut that part out, it doesn't really do anything. And someone below me mentioned it too but I'm not going to use this on my ::ahem:: lady parts cause I think it may be too drying or the ingredients might not work with that particular area if you know what i mean. nice for everywhere else just not there! Not a bad soap, I'm glad I tried it, but I want to try other types. I may get it again if I'm in the mood (and I feel like spending a little more on soap). It's way more fun than a boring bar soap, that's for sure.

Masks -LUSH - Cosmetic Warrior Mask
rated 2 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 9/6/2011 6:05:00 AM

Not that impressed with it. I always wanted to try something from Lush, and I'm an acne-prone, oily skinned gal so this seemed like a good fit or at least what the lady recommended. I don't know. I've tried it twice and didn't notice anything different that any other mask could have done. No, the scent isn't pleasant. I wouldn't mind it if the mask showed any benefits, but I'm not seeing anything that great. It's funny because it's not a sharp, in your face smell, it's almost faint, but since it's sitting on your face for 10 minutes, it gets to me! It does feel good when you apply since it's cold from being in the fridge and it's not as drying as some clay masks, so that's something to take into consideration. I'm definitely not getting it again though- I'm struggling to use this. And it definitely has a shelf-life- 2 weeks? That can be good or bad. I might just get rid of it. It can be expensive for the actual amount that you get and I need to be more impressed and excited about putting something on my face. Wish I liked it more!

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream
rated 4 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 8/31/2011 8:37:00 PM

In terms of taking makeup off, this definitely does. Way more than the other kind in this line (the cucumber one?) that didn't work nearly as well. So this is effective. I haven't broken out from it yet and I've been using it for about a week, so that is a good sign. Like many others before me have said, I'm not sure how I feel about the greasy/overly dewy film left on my skin afterwards. On one hand my skin feels moisturized so I know I'm not stripping it raw, I'm just not used to it. I do wash it afterwards with another cleanser, if I don't I'll get clogged pores. And the other thing is just the overall method of having to use tissues or a washcloth. I'm used to rinsing off or throw-away towelettes. Maybe I can rinse it off w.o a washcloth or get away w. using one tissue, haven't tried it yet. For my breakout-prone skin, I'd say overall this is pretty good, just different for me and takes some getting used to :)

mmm yes this smell exactly like rock candy, as the label says. Sweet, but not in a citrus-y tangy way. Love the little label, it's perfect-all you need is a little dab and your hands feel fresh! Love these little guys!

Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Anti-bacterial Foaming Hand Soap Blueberry Pancake

Oh I love this scent. I actually have the pocket bac version of this and it is to die for. I can see what the reviewer below me means about it not smelling exactly like blueberries, but honestly I didn't notice that...it has a tart smell, reminds me of eating blueberry pie. I know this was a limited edition but you can definitely find it in outlets or online. I get so excited when my hands get dirty just so I can get this on and slap my hands together! lol.

Scrubs -Queen Helene - Oatmeal N' Honey Natural Facial Scrub
rated 3 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 8/27/2011 2:39:00 PM

I have the pomegranate one too and they both are similar...nothing that great. I guess because it's a grittier scrub, it is sloughing off dead skin cells, but I don't notice anything that great about my skin when I use this. I probably do it twice a week, and it's temporarily softer afterwards but my skin is still my skin (acne flare-ups, oily, etc.). The smell isn't terrible but it's kinda bland? I dunno. It's ok for when your skin needs a little scrub-down but it's nothing spectacular. I think it's probably a lot better for the body than the face. Need to try that instead.

Scrubs -Queen Helene - Pomegranate and Raspberry Natural Facial Scrub
rated 3 of 5
LuvsMakeup82 8/27/2011 2:34:00 PM

Smells really good, but too gritty and rough for me. I like it in general, but it doesn't do anything really great for my skin that I notice...maybe a little softer afterwards but that's about it. Nothing extraordinary. I know there are better scrubs out there. I just bought Alba's pineapple scrub, it's more expensive but I hear it's really good.

Nice fresh scent but was ineffective at removing my makeup. I will try the regular version...supposed to be better.
