This is one of the very few hair products that I buy again and again. It puts a nice shiny gloss on your hair without weighing it down or making it look oily. Every other shine booster I've used has made my hair look oily after a few hours and starts separating the hair. Not Camera Ready. I don't bother buying any other glossing product - even if I'm tempted!
Mascara -Shiseido - The Makeup Mascara Base [DISCONTINUED]

This is an amazing product. I had a hard time shelling out $22 for a mascara base, but decided one time wouldn't be a sin and I read so many great reviews. It makes my eyelashes look super long and very lush without being clumpy or tarantula-like. I've used many mascaras on top of it from Covergirl to Diorshow (sample!) and it truly doesn't matter what mascara I used. I got a great look every time. The only problem I have with it is that I really need to use a waterproof makeup remover to take it off, even with mascaras that normally don't need it. It really causes the mascara to hold onto the lash. But it's worth the effort given the look it gives my lashes.
I loved the smell of this conditioner and was really looking forward to it doing a good things for my hair. I have a thick head of fine textured hair that is a bit past shoulder length. This conditioner put my hair into such a tangled mess. I first waited to comb out after the shower - I felt like I was tearing my hair out and it took forever to comb out. So I next tried to comb out in the shower with the conditioner still in. It was still very hard to comb out, but not quite as hard when I tried after. I didn't feel like it did much to condition my hair. So I ended up using it as a shave cream. I love many Philosophy products that do fabulous things, but this was a huge disappointment.
I keep coming back to this mascara. I have a huge problem with mascara smudging below my eye and this mascara doesn't smudge. The length it gives me is as good as Diorshow, Supernova, Bobbi Brown No Smudge and Fiberwig. I am continually on the hunt for a mascara that gives me super length while not smudging and I have yet to find one that does any better than Lash Exact.
Powders -Smashbox - Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder

I love this product. It gives nice coverage and leaves a luminous look, without being shiny. Very nice for my dry skin that looks parched if powder even comes within 4 feet of it. A little goes a long way, so you just turn the shave a tiny amount to get enough for an application. Because of the way it is dispensed, it is not messy at all. If you have the amount "shaved" that they show in the photo - you have about 20 applications! I have the Light color and I'm a NW30, Bobbi Brown Beige, BE - medium beige. I hesitated buying it because of the price. I didn't really need the brush because I have so many. But it is a nice brush. I would have given it 5 lipies if I could have purchased it without the brush. It was just an expense I didn't need to have. Right now I think it's only available on QVC and only with the brush. Hopefully they will be bringing it out on it's own. I will repurchase....if I don't have to buy the brush again.
I have been looking for a creme compact foundation that makes my dry skin look luminous. I received my Skin Double foundation (new name) a few days ago, and I think my search has ended. I got the Lt/MedLt compact and find that I use mainly the MedLt side with a little Lt side added for overall coverage (probably a 2/3, 1/3 proportion). I found that it covered well without looking heavy or cakey. It does not accentuate fine lines like mineral powder foundation does on me. I did not like it as an under-eye concealer because it made that area look dry and lined, so I'll stick with my Bobbi Brown concealer for that area for now. I am an NW30 and a Bobbi Brown Beige and the Lt/MedLt works very well for me

Highlighters -Prescriptives - Illuminating Cream Potion

I'm returning this. It does nothing for my winter dry skin, which is why I purchased it after a MA recommended it. I also purchased the liquid version and am keeping that. But this goes back. It made my skin look even more dry.
Love it love it love it! As I mentioned in my review on the Hazelnut color - I carry a tube in my jeans pocket at all times. The tinted lip balm has saved me from winter lips, gives me a nice, rich lip color and a good sheen.
Lip Treatments -Bobbi Brown - Tinted Lip Balm -- Hazelnut
Karlynn 1/22/2008 3:33:00 PM
I love Bobbi Brown's Tinted Lip Balm and love Hazelnut. I use both the Brown and the Hazelnut all the time, and the Rose Petal occasionally. I find them to be very moisturizing, I have not experienced the dryness that the previous reviewer did. The color also wears well. Hazelnut and the other deeper colors carry more color and are very "lipstick like" in terms of opacity. But they are very creamy and give a nice gloss to the lips. I carry one in my jeans pocket at all times!
Tinted Moisturizer -Bobbi Brown - Extra Spf 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm

This is a staple in my makeup/skin care routine. It is the start of my foundation. It may be the only foundation I wear, or on days when I have a bit of redness, or blotchiness I follow up with a bit of foundation stick. I wear Beige in Bobbi's foundations, am an NW30 in MAC and I use the Light color in this product. I can't tell you how many times I've repurchased this product. A lot!
Mascara -Christian Dior - DiorShow Mascara Waterproof
Karlynn 1/22/2008 12:10:00 PM
I bought the Diorshow waterproof because I have a bit of trouble with under-eye smudging with the regular formula. This smudged much worse than the regular formula! I admit that for some reason I do have trouble with most mascaras smudging. I have dry skin, but my Bobbi Brown concealer isn't kind to most mascaras - even waterproof. I love the length and fullness that Diorshow gives, but it's back to Cover Girl Lash Exact for me.
I ignored this product for a while when seeing it on QVC. I finally caught an Ojon show and saw the demos and video and decided to give it a try. I have shoulder-length color-treated fine (but dense) hair. I was prepared for the smell after reading other reviews and don't find it unpleasant and certainly something I can live with for 20 minutes or so. I was happy with the results after the first treatment. I use it twice a week, shampooing after each treatment, and have been very pleased with the condition that it leaves my hair in. It is soft, shiny and doesnot feel dry. I become happier with the product with each additional use. I will definitely be buying this product again.
