Complete waste of my money. When I bought it I was quite excited after hearing the awesome reviews about the brush. The brush isn't bad, I'm definitely going to keep it but my tube came like empty or something. There was barely any product in it and it was really dry and I could barely put any on my lashes. The mascara also dried on the brush and flaked a lot. This mascara did nothing for me, complete waste. I suggest you save your money and go for a different mascara. I will definitely denitely not purchase this product again.
Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Gatsby Moving Rubber
DRag0ness 1/11/2010 6:07:00 PM
Although this product is actually aimed at guys to style their hair, I love using this product for my hair! I love how the smell isn't strong, does not linger in your hair and is quite pleasant. Since I live in Toronto, I buy mine at Market Village which is right beside Pacific Mall for about $10 Canadian which isn't too bad as other stores I see selling Gatsby Moving Rubber sell theirs for about $12 and up. I usually use the green one, which is Air Rise to give my hair more volume and unlike other hair waxes I have tried, I feel as if I have nothing in my hair and my hair feels and looks great. Plus you only need a pea sized amount to style your hair so a small jar can last you a long time. I especially love the packaging of the Gatsby Moving Rubber, it's convenient and easy to bring with you if you need touch ups to your hair (which I never do) and the design is different from the little jars other hair waxes come in. Overall I think it's a great product that can work with different hair types and I would definitely repurchase if I run out which isn't anytime soon =)
Misc Beauty Tools -Sephora - Black Plastic Eyelash Curler
DRag0ness 1/9/2010 7:22:00 PM
I was looking for a good eyelash curler for a while as I was using the Revlon one and it just wasn't working out for me. I've heard of plastic ones so I decided to try so I purchased this for about $7 dollars canadian with was about the same as my Revlon one. I wish I never bought this eyelash curler and it pinches my eyelids if I'm not careful and I've never had that problem before. It barely curled my eyelashes and most of the time I just couldn't see a difference. It also didn't fit my asian eyes and the comb on the other end but constantly fall out when I'm using it which was really annoying. The idea was of having it on the other end was cool but unfortunately it just keeps slipping out when I'm using it. I'm not disappointed with the comb though. Overall I didn't find this product very good and I decided to just spend my money and buy a Shu Uemura Eyelash curler which worked great for me. Overall I would not recommend this product and I will not repurchase.
This was one of the first mascara I ever bought. I thought the pink and green were a bit tacky but it was on sale so I decided to try it and see. It was a waste of my money even thought it was on sale for only $4 Canadian. The only thing it did for me was lengthen my lashes a bit. It clumped really badly and got flaky when it dried. This mascara also smudged for me. Did not separate my lashes at all. A waste of money for me and I wouldn't repurchase this mascara again.
The first eyelash curler I bought that actually worked for me. I've tried the Revlon one and the Sephora plastic one so far and both of them were about the same for me. It took quite a bit of time to actually get some curls with them. With this Shu Uemura one I only need to use it one. They were a perfect fit for my asian eyes. With the other two I would have to move it around to get all of my lashes while this one was just so easy and saves me a bit of time. Plus the Sephora brand one pinched my eyelids which I assure you is not fun. My only complaint about this is the price, it was a bit pricey compared to the other ones I have bought. I would definitely recommend this to other people and I would definitely repurchase if I needed another one.
I have extremely chapped lips to the point where I was like skin on the edges of my lips and my lips just looked really dark and chapped. I really needed something for my lips so I picked this up at Dollarama. Complete waste, it was really oily and didn't help at all. My lips just felt more dry after. I would not recommend his product and I will not purchase again.
So far this is one of the better mascaras I have used, I still haven't found my favourite mascara but this is definitely one of the better ones. I originally bought this mascara because it doesn't give volume but just lengthens and separates and I wanted a mascara for like days when I didn't feel the need for very edgy looking lashes. I thought the brush picked up about the right amount of product, occasionally I might need to wipe off a bit but the brush I was remotely happy with. My lashes were separated, it held up my curls for a whole day. Overall I was happy with this product but I don't think I'll use it as my everyday mascara. Until I find a better mascara I'll stick with this one.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom-lotion
DRag0ness 1/3/2010 1:24:00 PM
I actually got this in a gift set from another friend, I haven't used it too much yet but so far it's not as moisturizing as I thought it would be but does the job and smells absolutely amazing for me. I like a lot of products from the Japanese Cherry Blossom line and they all smell delicious but don't quite do as a great a job as I thought they would. I wish this product would be a bit more creamy but the smell is not too faint or too strong and I love that as some of Bath and Body Work's Products tend to throw me off with their strong scents. I will repurchase until I can find another lotion that works better.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Exotic Coconut
DRag0ness 1/1/2010 11:03:00 PM
I got this lotion as a gift not long ago, I`m not fond of coconut scented things and this was no exception. I liked how it moisturized my skin and how creamy it was. But the smell was overwhelming to me, and after I used it I would smell very strongly of the lotion which is something I wasn`t very happy with. I prefer other scented lotions from Bath and Body Works but this one was a little bit too strong for me. Over all not a bad product.
This product seemed to work well for some of my friends and I still haven't found a mascara I remotely liked so I decided to try it. Big mistake for me. The wand was so bad, it picked up too much product, it didn't seperate my lashes, and the curl didn't hold. Also the smell wasn't that great for me either. Mabe I'll try it again with a different mascara brush but I felt that the brush was a really big let down for me. I guess the only thing abut that I liked that it wasn't hard to remove. I will definitely not buy this product again as the brush utterly ticked me off.
This scrub was very gentle and worked well for me. It made my skin feel smooth and refreshed after I used it. My face would look very refreshed after and gave me a very clean feeling. I will definitely repurchase this product again.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom Hand Cream
DRag0ness 12/28/2009 5:31:00 PM
As everyone else said, the smell of this cream is really strong and lasts for a while too, overall I think it smells great but as said before, a bit too strong. The packaging is really cute and all but it doesn't moisturize as much as other creams that I have tried. It would be better if it was creamier and didn't smell so strong. As for buying it again, I would say maybe rather than no as I haven't found a hand cream that is that great yet.
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit
DRag0ness 12/28/2009 4:58:00 PM
My favourite Lip Balm! I have unbelievably dry lips, I mean to the point where they peel everyday and are extremely chapped arpund the edges of lips. I've tried many lip balms to try to treat this problem and for me this one really worked! It was waxy, but moisturized very well and smells great. Plus the packaging is very unique and I love it. I totally recommend this product.
This was totally an impulse buy for me, great packaging and came from a reputable brand. I was slightly disappointed with how easily it smudged and how it never dried for me. The colour wasn't as dark and was fine with me. Although I use it for when I'm going out for only a short while I would never wear it all day. I would suggest saving your money and going for a different brand of cream liner as it was a slight disappointment for me.
