Eyeliner -Revlon - Colorstay Eyeliner
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 1:38:00 AM
I use this eyeliner everyday and own several back ups. Whenever I see it on sale I pick one up. It's the best crayon eyeliner I've tried and I'm really happy with it. I use it in 'black', and the application is highly pigmented and smooth. It lasts all day and does not smudge (unless you rub your eyes). Unlike other eyeliners I've used, revlon colour stay eyeliner works in all weather conditions (including cold weather). When I first bought this I used it until the tip went flat and blunt and it became difficult to draw a sharp line. I started to get frustrated with it and had long since thrown out the packaging. I was considering buying a new one, when by complete accident I discovered that the bottom cap can be removed and is actually a crayon sharpener! Yay! If only I'd ready the cardboard packaging I would have realised sooner lol. Anyway I highly recommend this eyeliner. It is better than a lot of others that I have tried and is great value as it lasts for a long time (approx 6 months with daily wear). 5 lippies!!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 1:22:00 AM
I recently bought this mascara after I read all the hype, and since it's cheaper than my usual mascara (maxfactor 2000) I thought I'd give it a go. I don't know if I got a bad tube of it but I was not impressed. I found the brush to be dry and difficult to use. It didn't curl my lashes or give much colour. It didn't add any length, volume, or colour. After I applied it I couldn't tell I was wearing mascara, except for the presence of a few stray eyelashes that were poking out the wrong way thanks to the useless brush (or my useless application). After trying it twice I tossed it in the bin. I prefer a more dramatic look when it comes to mascara, and great last mascara just does not deliver for me. If you're on the hunt for a new mascara, I would avoid maybelline great lash mascara.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
ClassyMinx 7/3/2012 1:02:00 AM
In recent years I've become a lipstick junkie and when the Revlon Lipbutters hit the shelves I couldn't help myself and bought one in every colour (not all at once of course!). For the most part I love them. I don't think they're the holy grail of lip products though and while I bought in to the hype, I think Revlon could really make some improvements. I find that the consistency and formula differs between lip butters for different colours. Some are thin and transparent looking whilst other colours are really opaque and pigmented. Whilst most are moist and feel nice on the lip, a few feel kind of sticky, and others feel dry on the lip. At $21.95AUD each, I find these pretty pricey considering how little you get in the tube and the inconsistencies between each one. I don't find any to be particularly moisturising but I usually wear a lip balm underneath. On the flip side I love the packaging (even if it is kinda cheap looking). I love the wide selection of colours, and I love the window in the top (even though I store all my lipsticks upside down so I can read the labels). I like the smell of all the lip butters and the application is mostly good. My favourite lipbutters are: creme brulee, pink truffle, macaroon (I bought when I was in Singapore-haven't seen it in Aus), berry smoothie and strawberry shortcake. I will definitely be buying back ups of my favourite colours.

Polishes -OPI - My Address Is Hollywood
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 10:34:00 AM
As with most OPI polishes, it applies really nicely and is completely opaque in just one coat but requires 2 coats to achieve the true colour. Nice and thick formula, not streaky at all. The finish isn't as glossy as some other OPI polishes I have. Nice with a top coat though. Fast drying. This colour is a medium muted kind of pink with very subtle and barely noticeable warm toned gold shimmer. It is one of those colours that you can get away with wearing even if your nails are short. I think this colour would suit all skin tones. Although the formula is good and the polish colour is nice, I don't love this colour. It's not very unique and after having it on my nails for 2 days I'm actually a little bored of this colour. I don't think I'lb be reaching for it very often.

Liquid -L'Oreal - infallible never fail makeup
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 8:04:00 AM
I've been using L'Oreal foundation for years. My first foundation was a loreal all in one compact. Since then I have tried various L'oreal powders and liquids and I've never been disappointed. I find them really easy to apply and I've never had any trouble finding a colour to suit my skin. I'm really lazy and have been known to go to bed after a night out without removing my make-up, and I've never had any skin problems or breakouts. I usually just apply this with my fingers (who needs a make-up brush haha) and it blends really well and looks fine. Dries with a matte finish and always looks natural... never greasy. Lasts all day and gives a full coverage. Overall I'm very happy with this product and will continue to use it.

Polishes -OPI - Teenage Dream (Katy Perry)
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 2:49:00 AM
I bought this nail polish when it first came out and was really impressed. It is a really pretty girly pink and silver glitter polish. It is really loaded with glitter and has good nail coverage. The wide OPI brush makes it easy to apply, and it lasts for ages on the nail before chipping (usually about a week). I really love the look of this on my nails but tend to wear it over the top of princesses rule... so I don't have to waste too much of Teenage Dream lol. My only complaint is that after a few months there seemed to be separation in the bottle... the bottle looks more like silver glitter than pink. I don't know whether it has lost it's colour or the silver glitter is just sitting on the surface of the bottle... has anyone else found this? One of my favourite glitter polishes. I really love glitter polish but I wish they were easier to remove.

Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI - Mermaid To Order
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 2:34:00 AM
I absolutely love this colour! I usually play it safe with nail polish colours but I couldn't resist buying this. When I wear it, I can't help admiring my nails. Mermaid to order is really bright and eye catching metallic aqua colour. It is long lasting and applies very easily, despite the rather thin brush. It required 2 coats to be opaque and has a nice shiny look to it, even without a top coat. I feel this colour would look good on any skin tone. I normally wear cream finish nail polishes so was hesitant about purchasing this but I'm so glad I did. I would highly recommend this colour to anyone who wants to try something a little different. It's just a really fun colour. I wouldn't buy it again because I doubt I'll ever finish the bottle.

Mascara -Max Factor - 2000 Calorie Mascara
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 1:53:00 AM
I've tried many mascaras over the years, but I keep coming back to this one. I buy the one with the curved brush in black, and love the dramatic look it gives my eyes. I have rather long lashes and find that the curved brush helps to style the lashes in a flattering way. My only complaint is the brush comes out with a lot of product on it, so I find myself wiping the excess off into the tube which builds up after a while and makes the bottle a bit messy. Like all mascaras, after a few months the formula starts to go thick and clumpy and it needs replacing. I don't mind though... There's nothing better than applying a brand new mascara. Overall, I love this mascara mainly for its brush. Until I find a better mascara, I'll continue to buy this.

Polishes -OPI - Just Spotted the Lizard
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 1:37:00 AM
I bought this colour on a whim and although I don't regret the purchase, I'm not unhappy with it either. I like the colour and find it interesting, but I'm just not sold on it as a nail polish colour. I don't find it flattering on my nails. Maybe I'm just used to more traditional nail colours though. I tend to gravitate toward feminine colours and this one is far from it. The formula was excellent and my nails were completely opaque with just one coat.. no streaks! Amazing quality and a nice shiny finish. This colour looks gold and green and blue in the bottle but is mainly a yellow/green shimmer on my nails. I can't see myself using this polish again.

Lipstick -Revlon - NAUGHTY NUDE limited edition
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 1:27:00 AM
On the hunt for the perfect nude, I bought this lipstick online without first testing it in the shops. I really wish I had tested it first as I find this colour unwearable on me. This colour is not suitable for my skin tone as it is way too brown. I think maybe it would work better on darker skin tones? On the up side I love the packaging which as another reviewer pointed out feels "expensive" lol. The formula of this lipstick felt fine and the smell etc were all good. This lipstick was not exactly hydrating, but not drying either, and the colour lasted a few hours before wearing off. So all in all pretty good. My only issue is with the colour which is my own fault for picking. If you have fair skin I wouldn't recommend this colour.

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Airy Fairy
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 1:09:00 AM
I really like Rimmel lipsticks. I find them to be highly pigmented and good value for money. They last for hours on my lips and don't kiss off easily. I probably need to reapply just once throughout the day. I don't find them drying on my skin, but they're not moisturising either. I always wear a lip moisturiser or balm underneath and find that helps. The scent is subtle and pleasant, and these lipsticks do not have a terrible taste (L'Oreal lipsticks I'm looking at you). If you're like me and get bored with lipstick colours I would recommend Rimmel because of the price and quality. I own quite a few of these and like them all. Whilst airy fairy is not my favourite colour and I don't wear it everyday. If I'm feeling girly, this is the pink I wear. I find it flattering on my fair skin. I like that this is not too bold and is an understated pink. I find it suitable for everyday wear without looking like you're too done up or trying really hard.

Polishes -China Glaze - For Audrey
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 12:46:00 AM
I purchased this colour after reading all the hype. It's not a colour I would have picked up otherwise but I thought I would give it a go. I'm actually sorry I did. I wanted to like this colour but it's just not for me. I don't like the look of it on my nail... I have warm toned skin and I think maybe this colour is better for people with cool toned skin? Anyway I asked a few people (friends, mum, boyfriend) whether they liked it and didn't get any positive feedback... just a bunch of "oh.. yeh it's okay"... not exactly what I was going for. As for the formula, I thought it was okay. A little on the streaky side, but nothing a couple of coats couldn't fix.

Polishes -OPI - Tickle my France-y
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 12:31:00 AM
This is by far my favourite and most used OPI nail polish colour. I have a lot of OPI nail polish colours but whenever I don't know what colour to wear or I'm feeling a little down I always come back to Tickle my France-y. I love the consistency of this polish. It's not streaky or thin and applies like a dream. I usually wear 2 coats but can get away with just one. I love the shine this polish has when it dries, I usually don't even both with a top coat. This polish lasts a good few days before chipping. I have other similar colours like bubble bath and dulce de leche, but there's something about Tickle my France-y that appeals to me. I feel feminine when I wear this colour and love the look of it on my nail. This colour is suitable for everyday wear... work, formal, etc. Overall a very versatile colour! 5 lippies!

Lip Treatments -Nivea - Nivea Fruity Shine in Pink Guava
ClassyMinx 6/29/2012 12:11:00 AM
LOVELOVELOVE!!! This is by far my favourite lip balm. I keep it in my handbag, and it gets a work out almost everyday. I love the smooth texture of this and find it really moisturing. It leaves a nice wearable pink colour on my lips and smells divine. I just want to eat it lol...seriously. I bought this from Watsons when I was in Bangkok for less than a dollar. If I'd known how good it was I would have stocked up because they're $4 here and never on sale. Oh well at $4 they're still a really good buy. I also have the strawberry and cherry ones but but never use them as I always reach for pink guava. Must stock up incase they decide to discontinue this lol.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Creamsicle
ClassyMinx 6/28/2012 11:50:00 PM
In general I love Revlon Lipbutters and have tried all the colours. I really thought I'd love creamsicle, but it has turned out to be my least favourite of the lot. I absolutely love creme brulee and bought creamsicle shortly after thinking it would be similar and suit my fair skin. I was very wrong. As others have already pointed out it seemed to stick to the imperfections and cracks in my lips and just kind of clumped in places instead of staying even across the lips. The formula felt thinner than some of the other Revlon lip butters. The colour was also terrible on me.. too pale and milky. I guess I should blame my poor colour choice but I'm really not sure who this lip colour is aimed at because if it looks bad on my fair skin I can only imagine what it will look like on darker skin tones. I really wished I'd bought a back up of creme brulee instead of wasting my money on this colour.
