I went and tested many different fragrances in the department store, and I instantly fell in love with Balenciaga Paris. I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist for the rest of the day! The fragrance wasn't overpowering, but enough for others to notice it. The effect is soft, feminine and mysterious. It is very rare to find a perfume that doesn't give me a headache, and this one doesn't. My two complaints are the steep price and the short lasting power. I tend to spray more in the morning, because the scent seems to fade throughout the day. This also means that the perfume runs out faster, but I love it so much I will continue to repurchase! Update: I've received numerous compliments since wearing this (co-workers, friends, hubby and even strangers) I am now on my third bottle, and still loving it! Definitely my HG!

Fragrances -Dolce & Gabbana - The One

I had to stop a girl on the street to ask her what fragrance she was wearing! The scent was sweet, pretty, capitvating, yet mysterious. She told me it was The One. I went straight to Sephora to test it out and I l adore it! I'd definitely repurchase when my bottle runs out, and this is definitely one of my favorite fragrances! My bf LOVES it and he cannot stop smelling me whenever I have this fragrance on! I tend to get headaches from different fragrances, but I have no problem with this one :-)

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Creamy Concealer

I absolutely love this product for hiding my dark circles! HG! It is important to put a moisturizing eye cream before application or else the concealer will bring out dry lines beneath your eyes. For that, I use Origins Eye Doctor.

When I smell this perfume, it always gives me an instant throbbing migrane for the rest of the day, and it is very hard not to detect this perfume since it is very very strong. I will never forget a time when I was on the public transit where a fellow commuter had overloaded herself with this fragrance and everyone on the subway can smell her from a distance away. I saw people holding their noses, while my bf and I had to hold our breaths as much as we could for the rest of the ride. We suffered a painful migrane and had to crawl straight to bed when we got home. Without a doubt, this is a very popular fragrance and many people would like it, but it should definitely be applied very very lightly!

This eye cream is very good for moisturizing before putting on concealer under your eyes! This is not a magical eyecream that improves dark circles or reduce fine lines, but it does what it is supposed to: moisturize. The price is pretty reasonable, and I would definitely repurchase!

Although I agree with others that this brush can be a bit scratchy, I absolutely love it because of the full coverage it gives. It really helps even out my skintone whichever mineral powder I've used. I have tried other kabuki brushes and coverage-wise, no other can compare! I've washed my brush every week and it hasn't broken apart yet. Even if it does, I will repurchase another because there is nothing like it! My skin is not especially sensitive, so the scratchiness doesn't bother me that much (I will take one lippie off for that though). If anybody knows a brush that would give the same perfectly full coverage but has softer bristles, please share!!!

Masks -Origins - Out of Trouble

I purchased 2 of these masks because I love it so much! It really helps clear up your acne, and remove the "rough upcoming" ones! This is by no means a one-night-wonder on the existing broken out pimples, but it definitely reduces the size and redness when used together with the right acne medication. I also like this because it is very gentle and doesn't dry out your skin. It also makes your skin feel squeaky clean.

My HG brow pencil! This stays on all day, and it is great for defining your brows. I use this together with the Anastasia brow powder duo and I've received countless compliments on how perfect my eyebrows are! I have gone through 3 of these pencils already, and it seems to run out fast! Although the price is quite steep, I will keep repurchasing because I love it so much!!!

Thank you MUA for suggesting this as a contour powder! This bronzer has such a natural color, and the pigmentation is just perfect! Prior to this, I have been using Nars Laguna to contour, but I felt that the color was a bit too dark for contouring and was better off as a bronzer. I love this Hoola bronzer and I don't think I can live without it! I will repurchase the day it runs out!

The saleslady at Amore talked me into purchasing this product after noticing the dry areas on my cheeks. I've been using this essence as a moisturizer (for summer) before my mineral powder foundation, and I must say that the sticky texture works wonders in sticking onto the powder, and hence giving me a nice full even coverage. The thin watery texture is great for the summer but definitely wouldn't be moisturizing enough for the winter. The reason why I gave this a 3 star is that I think it may be the culprit that is causing a few pimples on my face (which I rarely ever get unless it's that time of the month). I am not 100% certain that this product is responsible, but I have switched back to my usual moisturizer to see if my skin clears up and becomes acne-free again. I will update in a few weeks! ***UPDATE: Demote 3 stars to 2: I have stopped using this essence entirely for a month now, and my skin has been perfect since! I'm too afraid to start using this again. I'll give it to my mom to try out, and hopefully it'll work out better for her! I absolutely hate Amore's exchange policy (no exchange on opened items - so any items you purchase but you don't like, you're basically stuck with them even if you have terrible reactions to them), this will definitely keep me from going back to their store! If you're looking for a cream that will moisturize and also improve your skin, I suggest Origins Make A Difference Rejuvenating Treatment, it has worked WONDERS for me!!! Go and get it!!! ***UPDATE 2: I gave this essence another try after my skin cleared up, and after several days, a few pimples came up :S I'm now a loyal fan of the Origins Make A Difference cream.

I have tried a few mineral foundation before, like BE and EM. Out of the 3, I like this the most, because my face has the least shine after several hours. I love the compact packaging and this foundation comes in a wide range of shades. I am a fair-skinned Asian and M40 is a perfect match for me. This powder has great coverage, although you still need a separate concealer to fully hide red blemishes. I have been using this powder all throughout the winter, and I have had no problems. In fact, my skin stays clear and I rarely get a pimple. My only complaint was that I looked dull in pictures. I, however, need to switch up my foundation for the summer, because this doesn't hold up at all in the heat. I get super shiny, the foundation melts off, and it also sinks into the pores on my nose making them look fairly enlarged :-S . I may repurchase again when winter come back around, but for the time being, I cannot use this and will try out the Laura Mercier mineral foundation.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby

I purchased this blush based on the raved reviews here on MUA. This color is not the typical blush color I would pick up at a cosmetic counter. I usually like the more vibrant coral and pinks to brighten up my fair complexion. With that said, this is a very natural and work-appropriate blush. You also can't go wrong with this color and the sheer-tone makes this fool-proof. I would describe this blush as the natural "after a light jog" flush, not the "flirty, I think you're cute" flush lol if that makes any sense. The lasting power is nowhere as impressive as my Nars blushes. In fact, within several hours, a touchup is needed. I gave it 2 lippies because I prefer my other vibrant and fresh blushes more than this one, and due to the lack of lasting power.

Before this purchase, I read somewhere online that this blush looks amazing on fair asian skin. I couldn't agree more, as the color really brightens my complexion, and gives me a very cute healthy flush. This is my go-to blush, and if I had to travel somewhere and pack lightly, I would bring this. It is pigmented, yet very fool-proof. It is long-lasting, and a little goes a long way. This is my only Clinique blush and I love it!

Highlighters -MAC - Marine Life [DISCONTINUED]

I have to admit that I got sucked in because of the beautiful seahorse, and the bright vibrant color of this "highlighter". I use it as a blush, and it is a beautiful corally pink when the two colors are mixed together. This blush is extremely pigmented and I found it hard to make the blush look natural and blend in on my fair asian skin tone, even with a lighter hand. When the coral and pink color are mixed equally, the result is the EXACT same color (at least on my skin tone) as my beloved Clinique's precious posy. The only difference is that the Clinique's is more foolproof as it is slightly less pigmented. Now, if I were to use the coral side of marine life alone without mixing in with the pink, I would look like a clown, as it is just too dark on me - light hand or not (the color would however look gorgeous on tanned skin). I find my Clinique actually has longer lasting power than the MAC, but I gave it two lippies because after all it is a gorgeous wash of color that brightens up the face. Like one of the previous reviewers, the blush application was blotchy and chalky on me (even with a primer). IMO, the product is way too pricey, and I'd rather invest the money in a Nars blush.
