Kai has changed my mind about gardenia. I always thought of gardenia as tired, cheap and old school, but this scent takes gardenia and makes it vibrant, sexy and alive. It definately has a green twist and that is just fine by me. That is what saves this fragrance and makes it unique. It lasts the longest of any scent I have ever used. To me this fragrance is a rebel. All the floral ingredients *should* lead to an old cheap drug store fragrance but the green twist turns into magic somehow. I just love it.

Polishes -Orly - Nail Polish in French Manicure

I have this in Bare Rose and it is just beautiful. Makes my nails a clear tinted pink color. Great shine and perfect for a quickie french manicure look or use it with an off white for the real deal. I use it on light pinks as well for bit of a 3D/high shine effect.

Mascara -Lancome - Definicils Mascara

This is my HG mascara. Reading the reviews, I feel I must comment as I thought some were a bit unfair. Every product has a specific consistency and purpose and if you get it but want it to do something else, it is not the product's fault. Yes it is wet and glossy. It contains no fibers. It is *not* a thickening mascara it's sole purpose it to make your lashes long. The glossiness makes them appear so much more natural and not clumpy. I get my lashes so long with this stuff I can't wear my sunglasses! It dries just fine and doesn't smudge during the day. The black is a beautiful real dark black. Yep Im very happy with this stuff (not too much else of Lancome's though :P)

Liquid -Aveda - Base Plus Balance

I love this product!! I agree it is not for super oily acne prone skin. I have combo skin (dry patches with an oily t zone) and this foundation covers beautifully while providing the slip I need so that it does not look cakey. It is definately not a greasy foundation and dries to a wonderful natural face. The color range is wonderful as well - I use Sand but am considering Linen(Im a PPP with brunette hair and brown eyes)

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Ovation Glossimer
rated 3 of 5

I also got mine in the free Gloss offer. Yes it is a bit gritty but the bits are not as big as those in Urban Decay Lip Gunks. You want some sparkle you gotta feel a bit of grit IMO. It is absolutely clear and the glitter bits are so small they can barely be seen but for the person who wants that look, well here ya go. It is a quality product I do plan to buy Glossimer just not in this color.

Powder -Stila - Illuminating Powder Foundation
rated 5 of 5

I am very happy with this product. I also use it over a sheer foundation and apply it lightly with a brush for some extra coverage that still somehow manages to look natural. It is not heavy at all. Almost like a pressed powder. While the initial forkout is $43 over the long run it will save you a bit on refills (although the refills seem much smaller than the Lancome Dual Finish I used to use which was a bit over $30). Overall, its a good thing

Fragrances -Clinique - Happier

I must say I was very disappointed. I bought this on eBay and at first wondered if I was duped because I can't tell the difference ~ this is the same color consistency and strength as Happy which is my *favorite* scent but it just doesn't last *sigh* There does not seem to be a higher concentration of oils as I had hoped it would be. Very disappointing

Skincare - Body -Bath and Body Works - Rice Flower and Shea
rated 5 of 5

I really like this scent it is a bit like Warm Vanilla Sugar to me but I can definately pick out the cocoa butter scent. I have to hide my bottle of lotion at work to prevent all the squirtnaps. The scent does dissipate fast but who cares, I get a quick burst of happiness at work. I use the Silk Hand and Body lotion (name?)

Fragrances -Chopard - Wish
rated 5 of 5
Suzy_h 4/4/2003 3:02:00 AM

Ok had to throw my two scents (haha) in because I do not think the reviews have been too fair on this one. A lot of people seem to be basing the review on its similarity to Angel. It is not Chopard's fault that it doesn't - I think the fact it is unique is a bonus. Also it came out BEFORE Angel I believe - my dad got this years ago for me on a trip to France. So perhaps TM was a bit inspired by Chopard :P In any event I base my review on if I like or dislike a product. This is a bit strong and heady so I don't wear it often, but I do love it :)

Skincare - Body -Bath and Body Works - Jasmine Vanilla Smoothing Body Oil
rated 5 of 5
Suzy_h 4/4/2003 2:48:00 AM

A wonderful dry type of oil that leaves your skin soooo soft. This is the product that seems to have the highest concentration of essential oils - it lasts the longest and smells the strongest of Jasmine Vanilla. I smooth it all over my body then run my fingers through my wet hair from the base of the neck up - it leaves my hair soft and sweet smelling too. I just *love* this stuff.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Aromatherapy Jasmine Vanilla body lotion
rated 5 of 5
Suzy_h 4/4/2003 2:41:00 AM

I am shocked at the negative reviews I just adore this stuff! You have to like the core scents that make up the name though, and I love both vanilla and jasmine. Great scent, and it is a wonderful and light, non greasy lotion. I get so many compliments. I am such a product snob and have never worn inexpensive fragrance but JV now figures prominantly on my dresser in all forms.

Skincare - Body -Bath and Body Works - Night Blooming Jasmine Relaxing Bath Bubbles
rated 5 of 5
Suzy_h 4/4/2003 2:35:00 AM

I bought the Blooming Bath Oil thinking the "bloom" would become bubbles. It actually turns into a milkbath of sorts. It is soooo wonderful it doesn't leave a greasy ring yet makes your hair and body so soft and the smell is just heaven.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Aromatherapy Jasmine Vanilla sensual body esscence
rated 5 of 5

I am addicted to this scent it is the perfect balance of sweet vanilla and floral jasmine with a touch of musky-ness from the patchouli. I love the red glass apothecary style packaging as well. I keep going back for the shampoo, the Smoothing Oil, the Blooming Oil etc. Only complaint is that I do find I need to layer it as it leaves pretty quickly, the smoothing oil seems to last way longer on my skin. This has an alcohol base so perhaps it is best used in the summer as a refreshing light spray. Maybe keep it in the fridge even to revive you as you wilt :)
