Smelled nice, was not greasy but I felt like no matter how much I rinsed the little beads stuck on my skin. I have used many other exfolationing products in the past and never had a problem so I'm not sure if this was a bad batch or just not right for my skin.

HG status, keeps skin soft all day, very light scent which doesn't irrate my skin unlike alot of the other heavoly scented bodywashes! Every now and then I stray and try something new but always come back to this espically since I get so much product for around $6:)

Sunscreen -Coppertone - Ultraguard SPF50 Quick Cover Spray Lotion
rated 5 of 5
candystripelegs 2/21/2009 1:41:00 PM

Bought this last summer for my move from Illinois to Texas. I really like this, seems to abosrb quickly and it a convient spray can which is great because you take it anywhere and don't have to worry about leaks or needed soemone help you apply your sunscreen. It has a locking nozzle so even if it gets jumbled in your purse or bech bag nothing will come out. PPD is 14, which is pretty good considering it doesn't "ball up" or get super greasy on the skin. I have not used this on my face of course, though I'm tempted to becuase i like it so much on my body. If I do I will edit this and let you guys know what happens:) My only gripe is I wish I could find a sunscreen that was truly FF!! Of course, I am not deducting a lippie from this since it doesn' t claim to be FF, just doesn't seem like any companies are capable of making FF sunscreen for some reason:( Says it's waterproof but we all know that NO SUNSCREENIS WATERPROOF. This is my HG susncreen for body, there is a fragrance but once it settles on yoru body it seems to fade pretty fast.

Treatments (Eye) -L'Oreal - Advanced Revitalift Eye
rated 2 of 5
candystripelegs 2/21/2009 11:56:00 AM

Pros- The are under my eye felt very moisturized. Price was good, only about $12. Didn't not make my undeye area feel greay like alot of eye creams. Cons- The smell is awful. You couldn't wear this during the day if you sweat or rubbed your eyes, it would burn like hell. Woke up with bloodshot eyes more than once and this is usually never a problem for me. My only eye issue at the moment is dark circles and one or two lines. This did nothing for either of those and I used the whole jar. Summary-Don't bother with this eye cream,, there are many better products out there, even in the DS. Also, the heavy white jar is unsanitary and a waste, it should be in a pump bottle or small tube.

Fragrances -Tabu - Tabu by Dana cologne splash
rated 5 of 5
candystripelegs 2/18/2009 4:03:00 PM

What can I say about Tabu that hasn't been said already? Not much, it's one of those fragrances that you either love or hate with a passion...and I love it so!! Tabu deserves be in a gorgeous crystal dauber type bottle sitting on your vanity, I really wish they would revert to the old school bottles with a screw on cap!! For me, the spray nozzle releases too much at once, there is no gentle spritz, at least on the bottle I own.....I have to press all the way down and out comes enough perfume for an entire burlesque troop! Tabu is for the librarian who is mysteriously sexy, not letting you see too much at once. Tabu is for gothic beauties who adorn themselves in lace and velvet to dance in the shadows @ their favorite club. Tabu is for vintage vixens, femme fatales, you get the idea. And yes, I must address the "old lady smell". Yes, you could say Tabu does smell like an older woman. One who wears matching Revlon lipstick and nailpolish and still tries to maintain her figure even though she just made a huge batch of chocolate chip cookies with her 4 year old grandaughter:)

Pressed Powders -Cover Girl - TruBlend Pressed Powder
rated 5 of 5
candystripelegs 2/16/2009 6:01:00 PM

Normally, I cannot stand most Cover Girl powders and foundations, they are either cakey, pink/orangey, smell funny or make you break out. Not this!! Honestly, I'm suprised i love it so much. Sometimes, I moisturize, use concealer where needed and then use this powder as my foundation. I have to say, it gives pretty good coverage for a powder:) Other times, I use a big fluffy brush and use it to set my foundation. It really seems to make pores much smaller. Silky yet matte coverage. Really seems to blend in better than other powders, color wise. Pretty cheap, around $.6.50 More shades selections that the average pressed DS pressed powders. My only complaint is that the mirror is a bit smaller but it's not that big of a deal becuase I keep a seperate 3x mag. mirror in my purse. I used to love the rimmel stay matter powder (still use it) but i'm really loving this because of the coverage it gives if you don't want to use foundation!:)

Moisturizers -Garnier - Nutritioniste Skin Renew daily regenerating moisture lotion
rated 4 of 5
candystripelegs 2/1/2009 4:57:00 PM

Some of the reviews for the product either don't make sense or are not even for this product at all..there is a regualr lotion version,a serum and a SPF version of this. I am reviewing the Skin Renew Daily Regenerating Moisturizer. Ok, now that we have that cleared up, here's my review-good moisturizer, goes on nice and smooth and would be an excellent base for makeup. I'm sure most of ladies have used to the serums by olay, smashbox, etc. that are used to for prepping the face before foundation. If you have the tendancy to get a bit greasy in the t-zone, this might be a better choice. As far as the so-called benefits of the moisturizer-it's suppsed to even skin tone, wrinkles, all that stuff, we'll I can't really say because it takes about 6 weeks for the average person to see a difference. If I notice a major difference, this will be upgraded to HG status. This is a scented product, but it hasn't made me breakout. They would be wise to make a FF version, I think alot of women would really fall in love with this stuff.

Moisturizers -Garnier - Nutritioniste Ultra-Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Night Cream
rated 4 of 5
candystripelegs 2/1/2009 4:44:00 PM

I used this 2 summers ago and fell in love. first of all, let me state that I do have combo skin. I was worried about a "cream" making me breakout, especially one with a scent. Surprisingly, it didn't make me breakout at all. I used a small amount (less than the size of a quarter) on my face and neck and within a day or two I could tell the difference!! Yes, I am still in my twenties but at that time I was smoking and my skin was starting to get saggy and just...awful looking. Cons-the jar. I really wish these companies would quit putting stuff in jars, it's so unsanitary!! A pump or sqeeze bottle is much better. The scent, even though it does smell nice and didn't break me out, I wish they would make a FF version. I don't want my face to smeel like the Garnier haircare line;)

Skincare - Face -Stridex - Triple Action Pads, Alcohol Free
rated 5 of 5
candystripelegs 1/28/2009 2:52:00 PM

Been using these for years, I have combo skin, sometimes breakouts. They contain 2% Salicylic acid which is a BTA. so you can use these even if you don't breakout much. It seems they help with pore size and smoothness of skin, I can tell the difference in my skin if I run out and go a week without buying more. Look for the Stridex in the red box, an HG drugstore item for sure!! The cost is usually under $4. The best part is there's no alcohol in these. Wait, you'd think that if you have really oily skin or acne you'd want alcohol to dry it out but you are wrong. This only creates a cycle of the skin of drying out and then producing more oil to compensate..which leads to more breakouts. this is how my derm described it to me anyways. so bascially, 99% of those toners and noxemea pads are crap and only making your problem worse!!

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites in Caramel Latte
rated 5 of 5
candystripelegs 1/12/2009 1:58:00 PM

This review is coming croming a girl who normally wears matte and creme lipsticks. I am so adddicted to this Caramel Latte stuff!!! It's a shimmery beige, not super slicky and greasy like clear lip glosses and not chock of of glitter like alot of other lipglosses. This is actually the only tube of lipgloss I own. When I was in high school they had a darker color that was a reddish brown called "cola or cherry fizz" something along those lines it was to die for<3 This isn't going to give you alot of color, just a nice soft sheen. You can't beat the price, I think it's only $3-4 dollars.

Fragrances -Avon - Imari
rated 3 of 5
candystripelegs 1/11/2009 5:29:00 PM

The first scent was not the first I owned, but the first I loved. I was about 13-14 and I distinctly remeber wearing this to my first school dance. I was different than the other girls who wore Love's, CKone, Exclamation, etc. They were dressed in pinks , wore sparkly eye makeup and fruit flavored lipgloss. I wore a green satin dress, dark burgandy lipstick and Imari. this began my love affair with orientals and most warmer/musky scents. Thes days, I wouldn't buy the perfume again only because I wouldn't use it all. The skin softener is nice and you can usually get it on sale for $1.99. Plus, it's not as strong:)

Fragrances -Avon - Rare Gold
rated 4 of 5
candystripelegs 1/11/2009 5:11:00 PM

Last week, I was at the bus stop and tho woman sitting next to me smelled so divine. It was a warm, golden scent with a hint of fruit to it. I just had to ask and she whipped otu the bottle and told me it was Rare Gold by Avon, she even let me use it:) I cannot wait to get my hands on some of this, I usually go for orinetals but this is nice too. The best part was that when it sprayed it, it didn't have that heavy alcohol dose that alot of perfumes have at first.

Lotions/ Creams -Suave - Skin Therapy Advanced Therapy Moisturizer with Multi-vitamins and Glycerin
rated 5 of 5
candystripelegs 1/11/2009 4:29:00 PM

My HG moisturizer!!!! Went on vacation and wanted a little travel size tube to take with me and grabbed this and now I won't use anything else. For under $4 at the drugstore you can get a big ol' pump style bottle to keep in the bathroom for when you get out of the shower. They also have a mid size bottle for around $1.99, and of course, the 99 cent travel size. I used to only use unscented lotion like Lubriderm, Curel or Vaseline but was frequently disappointed those many of those either they were too runny, sticky or had that "nursing home smell" even though it was supposed to be FF. If you normally only use FF lotions, this might work for you. I could never use those scented lotions from BBW or VS beucase they would give me red bumps everywhere. Aslo, alot of women hate body sprays and prefer to wear "real perfume" I am one of those people and let me tell you this lotion does not interfer with my perfumes at all! -Scent is very faint, and it has not irratated my skin, Last week, I ran out of my regular night moisturizer and use a little quirt of this for a few days and it didn't break me out! --Not greasy at all but not too runny where you feel like you need alot. Makes skin nice and smooth without felling sticky. -Value is great. Product works, why spend more if you don't have too? Hope this review helps:)

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
rated 5 of 5
candystripelegs 1/10/2009 9:15:00 PM

This is an excellent pressed powder for the price! Even though it is not a compact-type powder, I don't mind at all. I keep a small compact mirror in my purse so it doesn't end up with powder on it. Also, I buy a package of puffs or sponges that can easily fit into the container and be replaced every week. Yes, the lid is not ideal but I've taken this with me to the club and concerts and it hasn't come off so I don't think it's that big of a deal. Scent is very very faint, you have to hold the container to your nose to even notice it. the only thing that could be better would be a totally FF version..but hey, it's better than those horrid-smelling,chalky cover girl powders! Coverage is good, does a great job at mattifying and didn't make me breakout. I use the transulcent and for under $6 would be again. Also, try the Lasting Minerals Rimmel foundation, it is another great bargain!!
