i got this as a sample and really didn't kno how i would like it until i tried it..i used fix+ and an angled liner brush and used this as an eyeliner all by itself. it was really clean & fresh looking. not something i would normally wear by itself, but for a fun pop of color, i will grab this..luckily pigment samples last me a while, i shouldn't have to buy this one :)
when i ordered eversun online the swatch was a tan/bronze color with light shimmers, when i got it, it looked peachy with pink shimmers, then when i put it on, it was an orangey peachy pinky look, which actually looks good on my dark skin. this is a blush you really have to try on to know how it will look because the pan color, and face color are very different. i think this would look good on lighter skin too, very versital :)
Pressed Powders -MAC - Beauty Powder in Smooth Harmony
lareinaxx 3/31/2009 1:32:00 AM
i was sad when i missed out on the heatherette collection, so when i found this at my cco i was ecstatic! to tell you the truth..all i really wanted was the compact lol cus i keep a compact in my purse and use the mirror and the powder for touch-ups, before this i was using the dame edna highlight powder. okay, now to the product, its a beauty powder/bronzer which can be used lightly all over the face or on your cheeks as a bronzer & even a contour. i have used it a few times & i really like it :) its nice and smooth and has no shimmer which i like cus i already have refined golden bronzer. for an everyday look i like to wear smooth harmony as a bronzer/contour with chai lipglass and a nice clean eye with a winged liner. it gives me a nice bronze/healthy polished look and takes no time at all. so this is a great powder to keep with you when your on the go. & when this runs out ill depot another powder and put it in the compact, cus its so pretty!!
i was lucky to find this at my cco & grabbed this baby up, let me tell you, it is easy for me to find brushes for everything else but my eye's, my lid space is very small, and i dont like big fluffy brushes for application..now this little treasure does the trick! i can pick up color & pack it on my lid & even blend it in, i have used it wet with pigments & my boyfriend even did my eye's with this brush, & it came out gorgeous, so its foolproof, if you have small lids, or just want a nice packing brush. recently i have been looking for other ways to use it & discovered that its great for applying emollient products such as concealer under your eye and blends it in well. i think this is a great investment, i would deff buy this again
pincurl is such a unique color & its the only e/s i own like this, its a gorgeous duo chrome with pink, green, blue, white..and lots more depending on where u look at it & the lighting. i like using this as a tear-duct & brow bone highlight, super pretty, super different, very modern. too bad its LE i might need a backup :)
I love graphology..one of my first eyeshadow's & still one of my top fave's :)
the color is a mix between a really beautiful dark purple color and a bluish black.
the first time i used this, i packed it on the whole lid evenly, and put on a million coat's of mascara for a really simple but sexy look. i have hazel eye's, graphology makes them pop so bright, u can even see my eye color from across the room!
this is another HG of mine. you can use it for a smoky eye crease color, or like i did..either way you use it the color is just gorgeouss, even if your extremely pale, this would flatter you :)
graphology is also my HG brow powder, looks so exotic with my dark olive skintone, and black hair, I use this with mac's mechanical brow pencil in velvetone.
im furious mac discontinued this. its gorgeous.
i think this brush is good for smoking out the eye with liner & packing on e/s to the lid, & under eye. i also grab this on occasion for highlighting my brow bone, its a good brush but i wish it was a little softer
i absolutely adore this brush, its a (hg) in my collection & i dont go a day without using it. most people use it for there eyeliner's but i actually found this to be an amazing concealer brush, i use it under my eyes with mac studio sculpt, and i use it to apply my (benefit erase paste) to my brow bone to clean up my eyebrow's. i get great precision with this, and it holds its own for such a small brush i get so much use out of it :)
gesso is a (hg) in any mac collection, its a staple color and can be used for so many things. a couple things that i love using it for are: 1-highlighting my brow bone-almost everyday :) 2-brightening any e/s, blend it over the top & your done! 3-tear-duct highlighter-makes your eye's look awake and brighter 4-sometimes if im on the go ill use it for a highlighter over my cheeks or nose..its not shimmery so it gives you a natural glo with a light hand i say if you don't have this color already..go get it now, its a must have!!
Makeup Brushes -MAC - 226 Small Tapered Blending Brush - BBR Collection
lareinaxx 3/31/2009 12:43:00 AM
this 226 brush is perfect for me for a couple reasons 1-my eyelids are smaller & my crease is deep so this brush really gets in where i need it to & deposits the color exactly where u put it. 2- because there is a tapered tip, it allows you to have more precision and control, & also its soft and really blends the ishh out of your e/s :) its an amazing brush
my chai lipglass is my (hg) gloss. its creamy and thick..which took me a while to get used too, but then i realized how long the lasting power was..and now any gloss but mac does not feel right. the color is a combination of a milky chocolate/nude color. i love to wear it with myth lipstick for that jlo nude lip or over my rosebud strawberry lip balm for a sexy everyday gloss overall i would recommend chai for girls of color, i love it & will keep buying it!!
