Cleansers -Dermalogica - Age Smart Skin Resurfacing Cleanser

I didn't like this product. It may be due to different factors, but it did nothing but dry out my typically combo oily/normal skin. I bought this hoping it'd be a great cleanser for the mornings and also since I've just entered into my 30's. I expected big results. Dermalogica has great products, but for me, this one was a total miss. I didn't see any significant changes to my skin other than flakiness around the t-zone. The consistency takes getting used to and isn't easy to work with: milky lotion type texture which made me, a skin-care expert, second-guess myself on application. Try it out, but make sure you can take it back if you don't like it.

Lotions/ Creams -Archipelago Botanicals - Grapefruit Hand Creme
rated 5 of 5

I found this creme while browsing at the neighborhood beauty supply store in the FD of San Francisco. It has a great scent (I'm partial to grapefruit from previous experience) and amazingly is highly moisturizing BUT grease free. Definitely a plus in my world since I have dry, rough hands most of the time. The higher quality ingredients is giving my other hand creme (Aveeno with colloidal oatmeal) a run for the money. The grape seed oil does wonders and I love the scent. By using this product, I have the kind of hands girls should have: soft and smells great. Heavenly!

Misc Beauty Tools -Shiseido - Pureness Oil Blotting Papers
rated 5 of 5

Shiseido Oil Blotting Papers are the BEST! Even though I just turned 30, I still have oily but great skin. I've been using Shiseido oil blotting papers since they first hit the US market and love them. They take excess oil off the face quickly and efficiently while leaving makeup intact. I've tried a few other products that claim to mattify skin from the base up, but I've always come back to Shiseido. The one product that I've tried and liked even better than these are oil blotting papers made by a Korean company. Unfortunately, you can't purchase them here in the US. If you suffer from oily skin, try Shiseido blotting papers. I use between 2-5 everyday and don't know what I'd do without them. The papers generally last for quite some time as they are much bigger in size than competitor brands and the slight powder on the paper works wonders. This is a purchase you won't regret.
