Bronzers -Bobbi Brown - Bronzing Powder in Medium
showSTOPPER 7/31/2012 11:30:00 PM
BUY IT! Honestly best bronzer I've ever used. I went to Fiji recently and wanted something I could use on my face to match my body, I bought this at duty free Sydney before I left and so glad I did. I used Hoola for years, and have tried several others but they just do not compare. This is the perfect tan colour, not unnaturally brown but an actual TAN, not orange, not much red, but tan. I am fair but this can take me from pale to medium and still look very very natural. I use this with the big 'bronzer' brush from ecotools which is great for powder as well and its so big you just need a little bronzer to sweep all round the face for a sunkissed look. Absolutely perfect, now I'm back in Sydney and still using this but more lightly in winter! So versatile.

I'm disappointed with this product, been using it for around 2 months now. I'm acne-prone, around NC15, dry cheeks, sometimes oily t-zone. This has a kind of shimmer to it which I was warned about with reviews on here, but unfortunately I went ahead and purchased this and although it is okay, it highlights every bad bit about my skin - if you have indented scars of any kind beware! I have a small area on my left cheek that has slight indenting from a horrible period of acne I went through around 4 years ago and this without fail highlights those particularly with indoor lighting. Colour I purchased is real sand - note this is much darker than my skintone but I usually go darker because of the rest of my body. Much preferred MAC MSF natural and bare minerals original. If you have good skin with little to no imperfections this would probably work for you and thats only when I would recommend it. I use it with ELF's powder brush from the studio line.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

I really love this! I like it a lot more than MAC's blacktrack fluidline and any liquid liners I have used in the past. I use a different brush with this, one I got in a Jemma Kidd palette that is very thin and flat - perfect for creating little brush strokes that I almost push (gently of course) into my lashline for a nice thin line to define my eyes. I use Too Faced Shadow Insurance underneath this, not sure if it really helps or not but give that a go if its not working for you without a base. Lasting power is absolutely wonderful, most eyeliners (EL doublewear, Lancome Artliner included) last very little time on my lids they usually start to flake off, but this one sticks around till I remove it with jojoba oil and a cotton pad at the end of the day. SO IMPRESSED! Especially for the price, LOVE!

Have in tender mauve, absolutely beautiful nude-mauve colour, nice for girls like me who enjoy a lavender or mauve tint to their lipsticks. High shine, sheer so needs a few layers, lasting power not great but didn't expect it to be, moisturising, and smells lovely!

I love it. Just finishing up my first pot which I used everyday for I'd say 3 months now and I think its amazing! Very nice colour, great coverage. I use a brush from ELF the one with the flat top and long handle (think it might be the studio brush), and it works perfectly, I always blot after application with a tissue just to take off any excess powder. Underneath I always use Studio Finish concealer from MAC and both products work v well together. Warmth is a lovely bronzer too but you only need a TINY amount. I'm around an NW20-25 for reference. Lasts a good 8hrs + for me.No breakouts.

Lotions/ Creams -Christian Dior - Addict Perfumed Body Moisturizer

I rarely give the lowest rating for a product. It has to be really bad. There's a reason this is discontinued! Paid a fortune for it, and it smells absolutely awful. Its like the sharpest top note of the perfume mixed with something my cat might have thrown up. Harsh I know, but so is the lotion, really wouldn't recommend it & I am devastated because I love love love the perfume and was so excited about layering it.

Where have you been all my life? Out of the numerous perfumes I have smelt and owned (over 25 I would say) nothing causes me to react the way this does. Its so beautiful, rich, creamy, sexy and superior to any other fragrance I have sprayed. I'm not eloquent enough to describe how I feel about this perfume, but to sum: its brilliant. On first spray funnily enough, I didn't love it. Compared to hypnotic poison on my other wrist, it smelt sharp and alcoholic. Then I went away and hypnotic poison stayed on my wrist whilst Addict had wilted into almost nothingness. I went back and resprayed Addict onto my wrist, and strangely, I was suddenly in love. My skin smelt of creamy vanilla and almond, whilst something lightly spicy and not too sweet lingered. Staying power is supremely important to me, and unlike practically every other reviewer here (poor me!!), this stays for, at most, 2 hours on my wrist - this is after moisturising like crazy with a scentless cream. When I left to go home, after buying a full bottle and spraying a few sprays on various pulse points (don't worry its winter here), I ran into a few friends, and for the first few minutes I was bombarded with variations "you smell soooo amazing!". Whenever you get that kind of response - the perfume is a winner! (only other perfume I've had more than a few irregular compliments on is Lancome's Hypnose). Because of the staying power, I want to give this 4.5, but the scent is just so beautiful its worth about a 10/5 in my eyes! Look forward to associating some great memories with this perfume!

I think this is a beautiful perfume. A great one to receive when you're around 16 (like I did) as its very innocent, fairly sweet and nicely refreshing. Similar to I love love and Light Blue in my opinion, but I prefer this to both on me. Do find the staying power is useless, but I do get that problem with most perfumes. The bottle is gorgeous, and it makes a lovely addition to a collection. Nice on days you don't want to wear a sexier, heavier fragrance.

Oh dear, this smells awful on me. I never can get perfumes to stay, but just one of this on me and I couldn't get it off. It just smells very sharp and soapy on me. Envious if you can get it to work for you, obviously some people are! Gave it a 3 because although I can't stand it, it could just be my body chemistry.

Foundations -Chanel - Pro Lumiere Professional Finish Make-Up ] [DISCONTINUED]
showSTOPPER 4/22/2011 2:38:00 AM
I love it! Rediscovered recently, and can't imagine why I stopped using it. Think I thought it broke me out, but that was when I was going through an acne phase, and now I realise it had nothing to do with this foundation at all. Yay :) Bad news, can't believe its being discontinued, love it way more than vitalumiere which I thought was terrible. I wear 20 clair and I wear MAC MSF Natural in Medium (or I did, not anymore) (I only use NC 15 studio finish concealer on spots to reduce redness so I don't actually know what I am in MAC foundations) and over the top of this foundation I use Lancome's mineral foundation powder which is fabulous - in Ivory 20 which goes really nicely with the pro lumiere. However, I am (guessing) I'm a NC 15-20 really, but my neck is more 20-25 so I use clair (or 20 - its the second lightest shade after limpide/nude) to even myself up. If you are NC15 or lighter you will definitely be the lightest shade. I have used limpide/10 but it just made me look a bit sick, clair, even though its not my actual facial shade, looks really lovely and natural, and if I feel its too dark I mix it with a much paler foundation (or Lush's Jackie Oats facial tint). I've had heaps of compliments on how good my skin is, and this works really well over concealer if you have any spots/scars to cover up (best concealer ever for that is MAC's studio finish - as mentioned earlier). Then put a light dusting of powder - I use MAC's 150 powder brush and the Lancome powder. Funnily, compared to what other reviewers have said, used this way it lasts me a good 10 hours (when I've been at work all day) without any touching up and without primer. So I guess everyone's different. I'd stay away from this if you are oily, but combination skin should be fine :)

I do really like this fragrance, however have a real problem with its staying power. I literally spray it and 2 minutes later it is gone, even on my clothes! Really upsetting, won't be repurchasing. But I gave it a four because it doesn't seem like many others are having this problem, so it must just be me!

I do really like this perfume. Its a lovely sweet, heavy fragrance that isn't sickly sweet like a lot of classified 'sweet' perfumes out there. Funnily enough it doesn't really smell floral, its kind of intoxicating and it does linger. It is very popular (unfortunately) so whenever I go out at night, theres always at least 10% of women wearing it (at least from what I've found) - it seems to be constantly in the air (not necessarily a bad thing, but doesn't exactly set you apart from everyone else if you're wearing it too!). I don't grab for it too often, but I have the 30ml so its good to carry in your bag and from that I know the bottle is very durable. Its cute packaging as well, but very expensive in my opinion ($90 Australian for 30ml).

Oh dear, I hate not liking a perfume. Usually I like most. This one, I bought online because of all the great reviews (generally I agree with MUA) and it seemed like my kind of perfume - heavy without being overpowering. But I just can't stand it. It honestly smells like (my friend's words but I agree) a cheap cologne. Very similar to Neroli Jasmine by the Body Shop - which is cheaper and nicer and I actually use as an air spray sometimes. I've worn it 5 times since I got it, so I've given it a chance, worn in on my body and clothes (smells the same) and I just really don't find anything I like about it. However, I will say that for the people who have given this perfume 5 stars, I envy you, because I'm sure you must have some kind of body chemistry that turns this into perfection, because the notes you describe just smell nothing like the bottle I have :(. Maybe I got an expired bottle? (Bought from Strawberrynet if anyone is interested) It could just be one of those that I'm not meant to like (ie Angel which I'm still hoping I'll suddenly adore!). Still give it a spray, you might really like it, everyone is different :) but I'll be sticking with my Armani Code, Addict, Hypnose.

I have to say I am genuinely shocked this does't have a higher rating. I love this perfume. Its so sexy and mysterious, a little bit spicy but also very comforting. Only downside would be I wish it lasted a bit longer, but it still lasts a good length of time (5 hrs for me) opposed to those that last an hour at most (Secret Wish Anna Sui anyone?). It is kind of pricey most places I look for it, but its definitely worth it. I've been wearing it since I was 18 and I've gone through 3 bottles I wear it so much. Give it a go! I have about 10 perfumes currently in my collection, and I try to rotate them all, but this one is among the standouts.

Not overly keen on the bottle, wish it was a bit more interesting. I've had this in my collection for 4 years and repurchased twice - it is lovely! Very hypnotic, a little bit of sweetness, more on the heavy side than fresh but not as heavy as say Alien, and amazing for the autumn and winter - doesn't suit summer as well in my opinion. Doesn't give me a headache! Always get compliments on it, but it doesn't suit everyone so spray before you buy. If it does suit you, its hard to go back to anything else! Tie for first with Armani Code, my other favourite. Not many people wear it that I've noticed, so thats also a plus.
