Hair -LUSH - No Drought
rated 4 of 5

I bought this on a whim. People in HK aren't crazy about LUSH, so I was the only customer in the store and got pressured by the SAs to buy a bunch of stuff. I refused many products, but I needed a dry shampoo anyway. I bought this, used it for a week, and here are my thoughts: The packaging is terrible. You can't control how much product comes out of the bottle. I shook it - none of the powder came out, so I squeezed it and poured a COLOSSAL amount onto my palm. Not impressed. I hadn't washed my hair in a day so I had "second day hair". Not a lot of grease, but my bangs were noticeably greasy. So I applied it to the roots and brushed it out. It did a nice job in cutting the grease! Also, the powder dissipated so I wasn't left with powdery specks all over my hair. I'm glad this worked out for me, personally. I don't love it though. LUSH just needs to improve the packaging. My hair profile: normal texture, gets greasy on "second days", super frizzy. I won't be repurchasing 'cuz of the price.

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH - Sympathy for the Skin
rated 5 of 5
aznbunny 5/9/2012 6:10:00 AM

Lotions usually don't work on me (for some reason). They just sit on the surface of my skin, then annoyingly transfer to anything I touch (sofa, chair, bed, etc). Sympathy for the Skin actually soaks in!! My skin ABSORBS it! The driest patches are my shins, all the way down to my ankle. I haven't even used this product for a week and I'm already seeing results! No more dry flaky legs! Woohoo!! I also REALLY love the scent. It's not overwhelming at all. Smells like banana pudding.

Blush -MAC - Modern Mandarin

I'm NW20. This blush really warms up my face! It's very bright and pigmented so I have to use a light hand. When applied correctly it is BEAUTIFUL! Combined with bronzer, I think it would give the best looking sun-kissed glow :). Long lasting, easy to work with. Can't ask for more!!

Blush -MAC - Cremeblend Blush - Optimistic Orange
rated 4 of 5
aznbunny 3/30/2012 8:22:00 AM

Maybe it's just me, but this pulls coral on me when I'm inside. In artificial/indoor lighting, the blush doesn't even look orange! It only looks orange when I step into natural lighting, which is really strange. I still love the color and texture when applied. It's very vibrant - definitely fitting for Spring and Summer!

Blush -Rimmel - Peach
rated 5 of 5
aznbunny 3/6/2012 8:31:00 AM

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this blush yet! It is one of my top 5 blushes and I can't imagine living without it. It's a true peach with finely milled shimmer for a glowy look. It stays on my face for a decent amount of time. It's highly pigmented. For the price, you can't beat this blush! I just don't like the cheap packaging. If you drop it, it'll break easily!

Blush -NARS - Luster
rated 4 of 5
aznbunny 2/24/2012 9:50:00 AM

On me (NW25) it's a golden apricot shade. I love the formula and texture. Staying power is alright. It's versatile though, as I have mixed this with some other blushes (i.e. Gina and Torrid). It's a great combo color.

Blush -NARS - Gina
rated 5 of 5
aznbunny 2/24/2012 9:48:00 AM

I love this blush! On me, it's a cross between apricot and orange (I'm NW20-25), and although it's matte, it imparts a subtle sheen and brightens up my complexion. The formula is fantastic - smooth and easy to work with, and it also lasts all day. Gina was well worth the splurge!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Style Packed
rated 5 of 5
aznbunny 2/22/2012 10:42:00 AM

I've been looking for a blue-based, bright fuschia gloss for a while now. Once I saw this at MAC, I immediately swatched it and applied on my lips. Unfortunately for me, this was sold out EVERYWHERE at local MAC stores and The Bay counters, so I ordered it online. I've been using it almost every night that I go out because it is just sooo gorgeous! It brightens up the face and adds some pizazz to my otherwise plain outfits (I've been wearing a lot of black lately...). I love it! Too bad it's LE. It's too late to buy a back-up now :(

Blush -MAC - Garb
rated 4 of 5

I like this orange-y blush, but I have to layer it on twice/thrice in order for any of the product to show up. Color pay-off is not that great, and it doesn't last on my combo-oily skin. I'm kept it 'cuz orange blushes look great on me, but there are definitely better dupes.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - DUO eyelash adhesive
rated 4 of 5
aznbunny 1/20/2012 4:36:00 AM

This is by far the best eyelash adhesive I've ever tried. I've been using this for two years now. Once I ran out of the small tube I paid for at London Drugs, I purchased the larger sized bottle at Sephora, which is packaged HORRIBLY. That's why I took off one lippie. It's very easy to squeeze too hard and excess glue drips out from the tip. Because of the wide diameter of the tip - as opposed to the tinier and more precise tip of the small tube, the glue gets everywhere. If you're not careful and squeeze too hard when applying onto the seam, it'll get all over the lash strip itself and ruin it :(. I like the packaging of the small tube better (much more control and precision).

Blush -NARS - Cream Blush in Penny Lane
rated 3 of 5

I'm NW20 and this blush doesn't show up on me, which is a shame because I fell in love with it when I swatched it at the store. *sigh* After applying, you can detect the peachy-pink undertones but that's about it. I like subtle blushes (since I have redness, so most highly pigmented, bright blushes make me look clownish), but not SO SUBTLE that you can't see it at all.

Eye Shadow -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Cream 13 - Warm Beige
rated 4 of 5
aznbunny 1/15/2012 4:00:00 PM

Maybe I haven't ventured far enough into the make-up realm, but I think this product+color is one of a kind. #13 is a frosty champagne with a hint of peachy/pink undertone. I really like the texture and the frostiness - makes the aqua cream stand out a lot! It's great for days where you don't wanna be bothered with make-up, so sometimes I just apply this, mascara , blush and gloss and I'm good to go. My favorite aspect is that it REALLY brightens up the eye area, making you look awake. It can be worn alone (for a more subtle look) or with eyeshadows (pairs well with SO many shadows for a dramatic look). Some may think the product itself is already too much (because of the frost), so if you want a toned down eye product with the same color, try MAC's Jest.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Redhead Degradé
rated 2 of 5
aznbunny 1/14/2012 4:36:00 AM

I was excited for the release of this collection because of all the hype I heard about the re-promotion of Blonde and Redhead MSF. I am cool-toned, and when the SA applied Blonde to my face, nothing really showed up. I liked the shimmery, glowy effect but I feel like the same can be achieved with other golden highlighters I own. I decided to buy Redhead upon impulse, since it was sold out almost everywhere in my city and because I had nothing quite like it. However, I feel like it emphasized the redness in my skin and made me look kinda odd. I have been battling facial redness due to irritation FOREVER! I'd say if you have red patches on your face (I can't even wear NARS Torrid blush - turns the coral tones RED), steer clear away from this MSF. Also, the highlighter faded pretty quickly so it was not long lasting for me, and it is too frosty and easily scattered for my liking. I like striking, sharp make-up like cut-creases and noticeable blush, concentrated on a small area of my cheeks. I returned the MSF two days after purchasing. Maybe it's just 'cuz I'm Chinese with redness and my complexion clashes with the product. For reference I am NW20.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Creme Brulee
rated 3 of 5
aznbunny 1/10/2012 3:09:00 AM

This doesn't live up to its hype. I am disappointed, and even more so because I bought this on a store sale event and cannot refund it. It has an orangey bronze tint to it which I dislike. It's not a BAD product - just nothing special and definitely dupe-able. It's not even all that moisturizing. What the hell.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Naked Space lipglass - Neo Sci-Fi
rated 5 of 5
aznbunny 1/10/2012 3:03:00 AM

This is being re-promoted as part of the Naturally collection. I am NW20 and was convinced I couldn't pull off nude lip colors. I bought Blankety lipstick by MAC (since it's a pinky nude and I'm cool-toned) but it did not work for me - it made me look sick like I lacked blood to the face. After testing out other nudes I just gave up, but when I tried on Naked Space I was AMAZED. I didn't expect it to be nude - I thought it would be more of an off-brown beige, which is why I tried it. But the light golden-beige + shiny finish gave a very sultry look without washing me out. This lipglass is really opaque and clings onto the lips, so it's nicely pigmented and long-lasting. I'm considering purchasing a back-up because I don't know when or if MAC will re-promote again!
