I love this stuff and I'm happy to see the other positive reviews on MUA. I have nothing against petroleum jelly, but I love this stuff because of its staying power. It's (bees)wax based and not greasy and it really lasts. I use it on my lips and feet. It's also great for protecting the skin if you're gonna be outside in really cold, windy weather. Also, you don't need to use much - it lasts for quite a while. I bought one of the huge jars and I don't know if I'll ever get through it. Now I just buy the smaller jars, which are easier to carry around, anyway.

Sunscreen -Kiehls - Activated Sun Protector SPF 50

First, let me say that I am a bit of a sunscreen whore. I have US-made sunscreens, Canadian sunscreens and European sunscreens - I am on a perpetual quest to find just the right one. That said, I really, really like this one. It is technically for the body, not the face, but I have not had any problems with skin irritation or breakouts. Also, I've not experienced any greasiness or shininess with this sunscreen. I live in MN and have dryish skin, so keep that in mind when evaluating this review. The main things l like about this product are the high SPF, lack of white cast, this stuff is really water resistant and there is no detectable scent. I'm reviewing this in February, a month in which there is not a whole lot of sun in MN, so I can't really speak to how protective it is, but I will be using this for a while and will update this review when I'm able to evaluate the product's protection value.

Deodorants -Kiehls - Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant Cream

Like the other reviewers, I love this product. It's gentle and scent-free, wihch is apparently really hard to find. I'm really pleased with the performance of it also, but I find it does take a couple minutes to dry after you put it on. Regardless, I will continue to buy and use this.

Moisturizers -Kiehls - Centella Recovery Skin Salve

I really like this product. It really helped my skin after a bad reaction to another brand's cleanser. I had red bumps all over my face and my skin burned - I turned to this as a last resort and because I had gotten a sample from the Kiehl's counter a while ago. I bought the full size version the next day. I don't think the consistency is like a salve, it's more of a gel-like cream. Very easy to spread on your skin. It takes a few minutes to dry/sink in, and, for me anyway, it left my skin moist and a little sticky, but not shiny. I wouldn't use this daily, but it really helped when I needed it to.

Moisturizers -Mario Badescu - Protein Night Cream

I really, really wanted to like this. As a rule, I like my night creams very heavy, so this qualifies for that. It's a thick, almost Crisco-like texture, and I love that part. It doesn't smell like anything in particular, which I also like. But it *burns* my skin. I can't figure out what it is - I don't usually have any problems with creams. After using this, I was left with little red bumps all aroud my cheeks and my skin was red and painful. I've tried it several times to make sure it was this cream, since I really wanted to like it, but I'm pretty sure now that it doesn't agree with my skin.

Lip Treatments -Mario Badescu - Lip Wax

Nope, not for me. For some reason, I thought this would be less greasy than Kiehl's #1, but I was wrong. And unlike Kiehls, it has an unappealing scent and, I think, a bad taste. I've moved on to Nuxe, which is much more expensive, but stays on my lips about 20 times longer than this stuff. I'd use any d/s lip balm before I use this one again. I like the packaging, though, and there are other MB products I really like, just not this one.

I really wanted to like this product, but honsetly, it does nothing for me. It doesn't stay on my lips, doesn't really moisturize when it is on, and, I think, has a funny smell/taste to it. I think I prefer waxier lip balms that stay on longer.

This is a great hand cream - it really protects your hands and doesn't leave them all greasy. This is the only hand cream I can use at work without having to worry about gettng the keyboard and mouse all greasy and slippery afterwords. The scent is a bit strong when you first put it on, but fades very quickly, so I don't worry about offending anyone with the smell. It's great for dry winter weather!

Lip Treatments -Kiehls - Baby Lip Balm

This is much better that Kiehl's lip balm #1. That stuff is too slick and slides right off my lips - it doesn't feel like it's doing anything. The baby lip balm is scent-free, tasteless and does a much better job of staying on my lips. It doesn't have that "hurts so good" tingle that carmex or other similar balms have, but it does feel like it's actually moisturizing my lips. This leaves a nice shine and is not waxy at all. And the tube is very convenient. Until I find something better, this will be my go-to lip balm EDIT - I really prefer Nuxe balm to this b/c I think I like waxy balms better. And about 1/3 of the way through the tube the product became kind of lumpy - like part of it had melted. It still seems to work the same, the consistency is just a little funky.

Other -Tom's of Maine - Peppermint Baking Soda Toothpaste

This is the only toothpaste I'll use now. I cannot stand the artificial-sweetner taste of the non-natural toothpastes. This leaves me with such a clean-feeling mouth and it doesn't feel like I just brushed my teeth with a can of diet soda. Everyone should really give this stuff (or another flavor of this brand) a try - you won't go back to your regular toothpast after this! A note on the packaging - be careful how you squeeze this when the tube is close to empty, because it's metal, it can split open when it's bent. It doesn't happen to me very often, but be aware of the possibility when you get close to finishing a tube.

Lotions/ Creams -Kiehls - Intensive Treatment &Moisturizer

This cream is very thick and very moisturizing, at least initially, but I really, really don't like the feeling it leaves on my hands. It's like a sort of dry, tacky feeling. I guess I'm not sure how to describe it, except to say I much, much prefer a greasier, slicker feeling in my handcreams. On the plus side, this definitely sinks in, but I don't feel like it moisturizes as well as a more oil-based, greasy cream would.

Conditioner -Aveda - Damage Remedy Restructuring Conditioner

This is the best conditioner I've ever used. I'm almost sorry it's my HG because it's so expensive, but now that I've tried it, I'll never use anything else. I have dry, curly, mixed-race hair, and nothing else moisturizes it like this stuff. It leaves a nice "slip" which I like, but maybe others wouldn't. I use this every time I shampoo, but like I said, I have pretty dry hair. After I'd been using this for a while, my hair stylist commented on how much healthier my hair was looking! Another plus - it has a somewhat neutral scent, as far as Aveda scents go - there is a definite scent, but it's not as strong as Shampure, for example.

I love this lotion! I've tried many other products, but I always come back to this one. I buy the liter size with a pump - it costs $70 (!!!!) but it lasts me almost an entire year, so it's worth it for me. Love that it is unscented and I love what it does for my skin. I tend to like greasier lotions, and this one is a bit greasy, but it's the perfect balance for me - greasy and moisturizing, but sinks in and leaves you with really soft skin. This stuff is great for the winter here in MN!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Happy Hippy

I love the smell of this stuff - fresh and grapefruity - but the smell does not linger, unlike some other LUSH shower gels. But it is really nice in the morning and during the hotter months. And the 500 mL bottle lasts forever.

Love the product, hate the packaging. And it's a bit expensive. I don't use this during the day b/c you have to put it on with your finger and then you're left with a goopy finger. I use it before I go to bed and I really like how it stays on all night. And I love the smell of it. I don't think there's much of a taste to it.
