Gels/Soaps -Blue-Q - miso pretty soap
zangreen 10/19/2004 9:56:00 PM
I've had my bar for a couple of months now, having seen it in a magazine first. The scent is nice, but I prefer shower gels and creams. The lotion that goes with this bar is heavier on the peony, which I happen to like. So many artificial flower scents make me sick but not these.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets
zangreen 10/16/2004 10:36:00 PM
Actually I just bought some of these for the first time yesterday. I have no problem with it causing oiliness. It works much better than the Palladio Rice Papers which sometimes pulls off some of my mineral foundation, making the matter worse than the shine. I put my makeup on 14 hours ago and other than a pat of rice powder compact it didn't even need a touchup, just a nice blot.

Lip Treatments -Desert Essence - Lip Rescue w/ Shea Butter
zangreen 10/3/2004 6:51:00 PM
For about 2 years, up until this spring, this was my absolute favorite lip balm. They reformulated it and now it's dry and very waxy. Previously, it would glide on and was very moist. I checked at several stores and the product is consistant. If anything, Burt's Bees is more creamy now, and that's saying something. Oh well. no repurchase.

Styling Products -Beyond The Zone - Smooth Shot
zangreen 9/12/2004 5:21:00 PM
I love this product so much. It smells good, cuts down on some of the frizz even if I don't blowdry. I've been to Sally's several times in the last month. It appears they have discontinued this particular product. There isn't even a sticker or a place for it to be restocked. WHAAA!!!! Maybe I'll have to try the Biosilk now. Update: Crazy Sally's just moved it over with the rest of the smooting serums. They did the same thing with the hairspray. you would think that the employees could tell you about that kind of change, but noooo you would be wrong.

Conditioner -Garnier - Fortifying Deep Conditioner 3 Minute Masque
zangreen 9/12/2004 5:08:00 PM
I just used this today after dyeing my hair. I get my dyes at Sally's and they don't automatically have a matching conditioner. I didn't leave it on the full 3 minutes, just smeared a large dollop between my hands. I used half on my ends and 'tail, and the other half for the front through the top. My hair doesn't feel like hay even though I haven't applied any other products. I like it, but might try a similar product from Dove.

Palettes -Cat Cosmetics - Six Kitten Palette
zangreen 9/7/2004 2:27:00 PM
I don't know why it's taken me so long to throw in my 2 cents worth. I use this palette frequently, especially the bronzer and blush. The colors in this palette are very good for light skinned people (which is noted on her website, for darker skins the Cat Kit has better shades). I also got the customizable kit last month. I now have almost all her shadows and glosses. I read one poster's concern about the price, you really need to check her monthly specials for better deals. I got the newest kit for 20% off.

Primer/ Corrector -Cat Cosmetics - Silk Purrfection

I also use this before my JI mineral foundation and concealer. I can really tell a difference when I use it. My makeup goes on more smoothly. I bought it off the website, and have 2 more on the way from ebay. Don't want to run out.

Bronzers -Cat Cosmetics - Catnip Bronzer
zangreen 9/7/2004 11:08:00 AM
I have this in my Six Kitten palette and use it almost every day. It's a pretty bronzer which isn't too dark or orange for my LLL skin. Also, I have to steer clear from any shades that are too red as I have rosacea and work very hard to cover my cheek area. On good skin days I add a touch of Whiskers blush over top. This is my every day blush shade.

Eye Shadow -Cat Cosmetics - Shadow Duo in "Eartha Cat"
zangreen 9/7/2004 11:04:00 AM
I have this duo in my Six Kitten. I use the shimmery shade almost daily. If I'm using the matte shade I apply it with a damp brush for more color payoff. The matte fleshy shade works well for me as I'm LLL in the Yellow Orange group of PX foundations.

Concealers -Jane Iredale - Cover Care
zangreen 9/6/2004 12:09:00 AM
I'm really surprised the other reviewer hated this so much, I've been using it for about 4 months now. I have full blown rosacea, without makeup I have the flush of an old celtic fisherman. I thin this with some moisturizer (also oil free) and concentrate it on my cheeks, but thanks to my condition plus high blood pressure I'm kinda red everywhere. This brings my color up about 50% towards normal, then my Jane Iredale Pressed seems to give it a glow over the more opaque coverage. The goal is coverage without troweling it on like I would have to with say CG Aquasmooth my former foundation of choice. And not too quick drying like the full coverage of Lancome Teint Idole (combined with 2 types of concealer). I found that too hard to work with.

Fragrances -Parfums de Coeur - Apricot Honey Body Spray

I've had this one for awhile and I like it very much. It makes the perfect spray when I use Burt's Bee's Apricot Baby Oil as my moisturizer.

Lotions/ Creams -J. R. Watkins - Lemon Creme Shea Butter

I love this stuff. It's great for healing my dry hands. And a second vote for the great Vanilla scents. I have blasted through bottles of the dry oil spray.

Eye Shadow -Cat Cosmetics - Tabby
zangreen 8/18/2004 2:33:00 PM
I chose this color for my Six Appeal refillable compact. I'm LLL with blue eyes and dark hair. This shade works well for me even for day. It's great as a liner with a damp smudge brush, and I've also used it up to the crease as a lid color. I love it.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Trax
zangreen 8/11/2004 6:24:00 PM
After all the glowing comments about this shadow, I had to try it myself (LLL, blue eyes, black-red dyed hair). The color is gorgeous. My favorite way to wear it is as a thick line at the lashes, using a damp smudger brush. It brings out the glitter and it doesn't budge (addressing complaints below).

Scrubs -Bath and Body Works - Skin Refining Body Scrub - Warm Vanilla Sugar
zangreen 6/11/2004 11:38:00 PM
I got this at the BBW's sale. Only $6. The big difference in this salt scrub is the thickness. It's more of a lotion consistancy than the straight oil of regular salt scrubs. I really liked it, I dampened my limbs and smoothed it right on. I didn't end of with huge bits of salt all over the bathmat or my shower. It doesn't leave as much oil behind as the regular scrubs, but won't leave you squeaking and overdried either. I'd buy it again.
