Skincare - Face -Johnson & Johnson - Baby Shampoo
winterfairy 11/18/2008 3:00:00 AM
Sounds silly, but this really is a very good eye makeup remover. Removes mascara (I don't know about waterproof because I don't use them) very easy w/o leaving oily/shiny residue. It's quite gentle, but once got into my eye and it stung a lot (That's one lippie off). Anyway, excelent product. But they test on animals, so I won't buy again.

Loose Powders -La Prairie - Cellular Treatment Loose Powder
winterfairy 11/13/2008 6:59:00 AM
When SA lady ofered me to check La prairie loose powder, my reaction was - nooooo, tehy're too expensive for my pocket. But then she told me that it's 56 grams and just a bit pricey than 20-25gr Dior/Shiseido/Lancome loose powders. So the price was ok. I have this in Transluscent 1. It's soft on the face, the texture is smooth, looks natural. The coverage is average (if at all, but I don't need it and I prefer my face to look natural and matte) Not good in controling oil. So I won't buy it again.

Pressed Powders -Lancome - Matte Finish Sheer Pressed Powder
winterfairy 11/11/2008 8:20:00 AM
I don't know if it's that product - I have Lancome mat finish poudre compacte, 03 Sable. Very light colour, almost white... Matifying power - weak, too matte at first, but I have to blot my face after 2 hours. And chalky... Nice packaging - black with discreet lancome logo, but sponge/puff?!? Just a round piece of something spongey, cheap and dirty looking. But I see that's old version, they have new one with seperate container and better sponge/puff. Anyway - I doubt I'll buy it again (unless they've changed a formula too), I need something that'll keep my oil on bay for more than 2 hours...

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose
winterfairy 11/11/2008 8:05:00 AM
It's good, but not great... I expected a lot more because of it's price and reputation. But it's just another volumizing mascara that'll give good you nice (but not extraordinary) volume. Perhaps I haven't yet find right way to use it - I still use an old MF masterpiece brush to comb my lashes after putting it. It makes you lashes stiff (which I hate)Besides, it's only 6,5ml... Won't buy again because of animal-testing

Lipstick -Rimmel - Lasting Finish - Birthday Suit
winterfairy 11/3/2008 2:38:00 AM
On my lips quite natural and quite "angelina" nude. I'm fair with yellow undertones and my lips are more on the brown side (but just a bit). And f.e. Airy fairy looks too pink on me. Formula is a bit sheer and a bit dry (which suits me because my lips are moist). It's a bit too shiny for my taste and it seems that color got darker after few months...

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Age Defying Hand Q10 Plus
winterfairy 10/29/2008 6:14:00 AM
Hand cream was never a stapple for me. I need extra moisture very rarely, so I bought it mostly beacuse of Q10 complex (considering that my hands need some help to stay this way. And I'm pretty sattisfied - sinks excelent (if you don't use too much of it), leaves your skin moist but not sticky or oily, smell is nice and discreet. And you can avoid pouring if you shake the tube before opening it. Would buy again. UPDATE: Won't buy again because Nivea uses substances tested on animals

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Shimmering Body Lotion
winterfairy 10/29/2008 6:00:00 AM
Nice smell, nice texture, nice glittering effect (discreet, but I prefer it that way). I would buy it again, but I can't find it anymore here in Europe. UPDATE: Won't buy again because Nivea uses substances tested on animals

Lipstick -Rimmel - Infinite Colour - Keep on Pouting
winterfairy 10/28/2008 4:12:00 AM
Very nice brownish colour. And I adore the concept of permanent lipsticks because I never remember to reapply makeup during the day, especially lipstick (because of oily T-zone I have to blot or reuse powder - but I dream of day I'll find my dream foundation/powder that will last on me as this lipstick:-) Anyway,I find MF lipfinity formula a bit better, but MF is twice expensive too.

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)
winterfairy 10/28/2008 3:56:00 AM
Excelent product for that price. It matches quite well and doesn't look cakey or chalking. I use it over my foundation or wear it alone. Mattifying power is average, but I haven't yet found a product that will control shine of my T-zone for more than 3 hours, so maybe I'm not the right person to judge... The only (and big) letdown is the packaging. Cheap looking, unpractical and the lid would break eventually one day. But I will rebuy. EDIT: I'll change it to 5 lippies - the product itself is excelent and deserves 5+, inspite awful packagin

Lipstick -Shiseido - Perfecting Lipstick
winterfairy 10/28/2008 3:47:00 AM
I have it in P17. Excellent colour, nice package, but poor staying power. I believe it's because my lips don't need extra moisture so this creamy and extra-hydratating formula is too much for me. After 2 hours I end up with oily lips and remains of (remains of) colour somewhere along the lip-line. So - won't buy again.

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes Rich
winterfairy 10/27/2008 4:03:00 AM
I use this as a day treatment because it moisturizes but don't leave watery or oily residue. Anyway, I haven't noticed any spectacular results... I'm 31 and I have some fine lines (mostly mimic because I laugh a lot) and this product did nothing to make them look less deep or noticeable. So I'll doubt I'll buy it again, but I will recommend it to younger public and to those who want to (just) maintain their undereye area.

Mascara -Max Factor - Masterpiece Mascara
winterfairy 10/22/2008 5:32:00 AM
Not bad, but there's a lot better mascaras out there. The brush is great though and I still use it to comb my lashes after using some other mascara. I will avoid MF mascaras because the formula they're using isn't suitable for my eyes - it's quite ok to wear it, but nightmare to take off (irritates my eyes for hours). Won't buy again

Moisturizers -Lancome - Aqua Fusion Cream
winterfairy 10/22/2008 3:38:00 AM
This is for gel-creme. I have combination but non-problematic skin. It is very comfortable, smells great (clean and fresh) and you need just a tiny amount for whole face and neck. I'm not sure if I like the packaging - I prefer tubes or bottles with pump... Anyway, it's an ok moisturizer, especialy in the begining of use, but not on a long term.
