Treatments -Avon - Reversalist Serum
rated 5 of 5

This serum is quite beneficial to my skin! It leaves it soft, silky, and luxurious! No tacky packy here! By morning, it feels like it completely absorbed & no greasiness. This came in the Avon Reversalist kit with the Night Renewal Creme. It was on sale, too. After several weeks of application every other day, I feel it is just as good as any other mid or high end serum product. I broke out with a zit, after none for 4 months! How? I think the avon night creme was a bit too much one particular week. I still use Neutrogena Wrinkle Free night creme and feel this is a HG product, as well and use it on the off nights.

Eye Makeup Remover -Avon - Eye Makeup Remover

This is a terrific eye makeup remover. Moisturizing, it's a cream. It seems to melt the makeup away and captures it in your cotton square! It's a dazzling .99 too!

Mascara -Giorgio Armani - Eyes to Kill
rated 5 of 5
sweetgardenangel 5/3/2010 1:18:00 PM

The SA at Nordies allowed me to apply Eyes to Kill, before I left with my other purchase. I have to admit that due to allergies I just started going back to mascara last year, and anyways, since I have only a few lashes mascara really never mattered! Sure.....that was the philosopy BEFORE EYES TO KILL. After EYES TO KILL, it was astounding to see my sparse eyelashes looking LENGTHENED, THICKER, AND NO COLLISION OF LASHES or CLUMPS! I'm keeping this on my Wish List. I have no idea concerning the cost, except that I'm aware the manufacturer is super high end!

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Poppy
rated 3 of 5
sweetgardenangel 5/3/2010 1:03:00 PM

After reading the positive comments on this blush, which is a "red" blush to wear to compliment red lipstick, I was disappointed after only one use. It's going back to Nordies. It left my cheeks with a muddy color. Absolutely not red at all. More of a muddy red perhaps with a brown base. I had to apply another color to even get rid of the muddiness! And this only compounded my error, buy producing a sorry orange mess of rouge! If you want red, go to Nars Exhibit A. That's what I'll purchase next weekend. I love Bobbi Brown's products, especially the Pale Pink Blush, but sometimes theres a hit or miss and this one was a "miss."

Liquid -Giorgio Armani - Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF20
rated 4 of 5
sweetgardenangel 5/3/2010 12:52:00 PM

This is a wonderful foundation if you want coverage that would be sheer to medium. And, it does last and last like the name implies. It goes on like silk. It's creamy. You do not need a primer underneath, because of this great texture. It is not one of your foundations which is suppose to give you a glow although other posters feel misled on this point. If you want glow, look for "luminous" or "glow" etc. If, however, you have mature skin like mine, with a few age spots, acne spot, etc. then this will not cover and you have to rely on your spot concealer. I will continue to wear it and of course apply Laura Mercier's Translucent Powder to set it so it won't leave my t-zone with shine around mid-day. Here's a plus. It does look absolutely Natural! And it does not pool into any pores and look like a cakey mess like EL's Doublewear! You also don't feel like your carrying a mask on your face, that if you smile, it might crack! I will apply a little extra foundation around the couple age spots, and it will suit me just fine! You get what you pay for! Try it! This one was #4, the 2nd lightest. The first lightest was too yellow. This color was "spot-on" for my fair complexion.

Lipstick -Giorgio Armani - Black Gem Shine/Brilliant Collection #40
rated 5 of 5
sweetgardenangel 5/3/2010 12:41:00 PM

This Georgia Armani lipstick #40 was an excellent product, despite it being a package or palette deal, and consequently limited edition. It looks like a red in the tube, but on the lips, it is simply a beautiful rosy-red pinky , watermelon color. Moisturizing, it works well with my lip liner by Avon called Brick Red. Lasts for hours, and after drinking and eating, a slight red stain remains on the lips that looks just as nice! The SA at Nordies was simply wonderful when she offered this lippie, in appreciation for buying the Lasting Silk Foundation.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Dior Addict Lipcolor - High Impact Weightless Lipcolor
rated 5 of 5
sweetgardenangel 4/13/2010 9:54:00 AM

"Pop Red" in the Dior Addict Lipcolor High Impact Weightless Lipcolor is WONDERFUL. It's a cross between red and pink and coral! Indeed, it is very light and moisturizing! Staying power is pretty well 3 hours w/out drink and food. Looks wonderful for a Spring color! This was my very first Dior purchase and will splurge again in the future. The new lipglosses looked absolutely luscious. Indulge! You'll love it.

Lip Liners -Avon - Glimmerstick Brick Red
rated 5 of 5
sweetgardenangel 3/23/2010 7:58:00 AM

OMG! It's the greatest lip liner for my red lipstick by Mac called Lady Bug. Perfect match. Long-wearing. It's an automatic creme liner which smoothly outlines the lips. It even lasts longer than lipstick itself. Definitely a re-purchase and what's more? Not more than $3 bucks.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustering
rated 5 of 5
sweetgardenangel 3/16/2010 12:35:00 PM

This lustre lipstick called Lustering is a fantastic, somewhat "moisturizing" lipstick that is a cross hybrid of red and pink. It's the perfect so called watermelon color. It's a toned down fuscia pink and I love it. Staying power is not bad, several hours without drinking or eating. Good for all skin tones, definitely a keeper for "go to" lipstick for work or play!

Eye Shadow -Stila - Going Green Trio
rated 5 of 5
sweetgardenangel 3/16/2010 7:25:00 AM

Great little trio of celery green, grass green, and black. So far, good staying power. Stila rarely disappoints when it comes to shadows. Perfect for St. Patrick's Day.

Eyeliner -Too Faced - Starry-Eyed Liquid Eyeliner Obsessed Fan
rated 5 of 5
sweetgardenangel 3/15/2010 7:25:00 AM

This is thee perfect glitter eyeliner by Too Faced. I was strolling through Ulta when a SA came by with awesome green shadow on her eyelids accented by this glitter eyeliner. Absolutely no fall out! Was perfect for my St. Patrick's Fundraiser at my church. I first lined my lids with Stila's new pot called "going green", then eyelined with pencil green liner by Urban Decay. And finally, topped off with this product as the piece de resistance! Compared with other glitter eyeliners, this one excels. Try it, you'll love it!

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Milky Way Mineral Eye Colour
rated 1 of 5

Lousy loose eyeshadow pigment in jar. Chalky consistency, and not at all on par with Laura's other shadows. No wonder this discontinued product was on Hautelook.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Lady Bug
rated 5 of 5
sweetgardenangel 2/26/2010 1:26:00 PM

"Ladybug", a lustre lipstick by Mac, is an awesome red. I've admired models who portray the front of magazines with a "nothing there" look with outstanding lips and eyes. So I went for the blush and the lipstick at the same time! This wonderful lipstick lasts and lasts. I can have coffee and nibble at my desk on biscotti and by lunch time, have only a bit of a stain that could stand on its own by itself! I experimented with "Star Nova" gloss over it, but that wasn't an advisable thing to do unless you want that REALLY WET LOOK! Plus Star Nova is a lustreglass in pink, so really, what was I thinking?!!? This will be my "go to" look if I'm wearing a touch of red for that day! Technical wise, it doesn't float around on your lips; it can cooperate with lip liner that is even in the "rose category"; it doesn't become a hybrid of a different color 2 hours later; it has a lasting impression of red that may end up as a beautiful red stain; and you can build the intensity of the red if you so desire! It's a keeper!

Blush -MAC - Sheertone blush in Tenderling
rated 5 of 5
sweetgardenangel 2/26/2010 1:09:00 PM

This is the perfect blush for a nude-neutral look, just a hint of "something" there! I really cannot advise on its color since it captures beige, pink, an ever so slight coral (but definitely not orange). It's even excellent for contouring on the cheekbones! As I sneak peeks at this on the first day, I'm always tempted to add BB pale pink or Becca's Wild Orchid, both favorites of mine. Definitely not a muddy/dirty look on my very fair skin. This color is super with my Laura Mercier Oil Free Blush Ivory! It allows me to punch a lip color like Mac's Ladybug! And also allows very pretty eye make-up using Mac's Blacktrack and a cat eye look with the flick of the brush! Never having a nude blush makes it a welcome addition to the pinks and reds and plums that I already possess. So far my skin has not broken out, so although another poster indicated tiny bumps from the talc content, I'm crossing my fingers that my skin cooperates. It was a difficult decision to pick a nude blush, with "cubic" and "strada" as contenders during my time at the Mac counter! Later on, I'll get "strada" since it looks like a "barely there with a hint of plum". Try it, You'll love it!

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment

Geez, this stuff really works! Thanks MA for recommendations for my peeling, chapped lips which have been exposed to cold Michigan weather! I have to admit that even just the first night application, seemed to smooth the lip. It is amazing.
