Styling Products -Aussie - Sprunch Spray
rated 4 of 5

Note: This is for the aersol can (I know, its bad.. for the ozone or something right? =/). I originally got this for "sprunching", but I don't know how to scrunch to save my life (good thing I don't need to scrunch to get [pretty, defined] curls. I probably didn't use enough, considering I'm hesitant on using a lot of hairspray.. or other products). So now I use it as a hairspray. Since its "flexible" hold, it holds, but its not 'super mega' hold or anything, but it gets the job done. I've tried other hairspray's & I definitely like this one the best.

Conditioner -Garnier - Curl and Shine
rated 5 of 5

My hair is somewhat thick, curly, and past my shoulders. I use this with the shampoo & it works well. It also doesn't feel like any residue is left or anything, which other conditioners have done.

Shampoo -Garnier - Fructis Curl and Shine

This shampoo smells wonderful, cleans, & defines my curls + leaves them frizz free. For background on my hair, its somewhat thick & past my shoulders. This also doesn't strip my hair.

I have somewhat thick, past my shoulders, curly hair. I love this product. It defrizzes, defines curls, and lasts all day (through the Houston humidity!). I def. recommend this, its my HG curl defining-defrizzer creme/lotion.

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Marc Anthony - Strictly Curls Curl Defining Lotion
rated 2 of 5

-- 04/13 EDIT-- I decided to redo this review. I'm going to keep the 3 'lippies' though. When I first reviewd this product, I said overall I didn't like it, especially for the price. I now have mixed feelings about it. For a background on my hair, its somewhat thick, past my shoulders, & curly. When combined with my usual shampoo/conditioner (which is specifically for curly hair), this makes my hair crunchy (I don't mind the crunch though, I actually like it). It's not a major crunch, but def. still there. Also, this seems to dry my hair out. Throughout the day its fine, but at the end of the day & next morning, my hair feels dry & stripped. When combined with curl mousse, it leaves my hair even more dry & crunchy, and it annoys me a lot (plus the fact my hair becomes limpy). Also, my hair becomes frizzy. When combined with a different shampoo/conditioner (for hydration), this product works wonderfully. It defrizzes & holds. No dry feeling and no crunch. So overall, I'm not sure what to think of this product. But one thing is for sure, for the price, you would think that it would work regardless. -- EDIT AGAIN -- Taking off a 'lippie' because this leaves white residue in my hair.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Curl Care Flawless Curls Curl Enhancing Mousse
rated 5 of 5

I love this mousse! I'm sad to see that others don't like it. My hair is somewhat thick, past my shoulders, & curly, but frizzy if nothing is put in it. Combined with a curl defining creme, this mousse works miracles. My curls are frizz free & stay all day (+ its light!). It's my HG mousse.

Shampoo -Suave - Suave Professionals Healthy Curls Shampoo
rated 2 of 5

I have somewhat thick, past my shoulders, curly hair. This works okay. It does curl, but left my hair the slightest bit frizzy & it seemed to strip my hair, even with conditioner (though I used a different brand conditioner). It dried out my hair too. If you wash your hair more often, like 3-4 times a week, you should be okay (also if you use leave in (which I didn't do back then) & deep condition).

Styling Products -Suave - Professional Healthy Curls Anti-Frizz Cream
rated 5 of 5

This stuff is great. It was the first product I tried to enhance & define my curls & I bought it 'cause it was cheap. I'm very happy I did. It's extremely light, but holds well. There isn't much product, but definitely enough. I have somewhat thick hair that's past my shoulders, so I use a lot, but it still lasts longer than one would expect (with my hair anyway). This is PERFECT with curl mousse. The product by itself doesn't eliminate frizz, but it defintely controls/lessens frizz & lasts all day (through Houston humidity!). Only thing is, I couldn't find it the other day. Perhaps it was sold out. This is second to my HG for curl defining-defrizzer creme/lotion.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Clear Pore Cleanser Mask
rated 3 of 5

I originally bought this product for a mask and was happy that I could use it as a cleanser too. I like it better as a mask; you put it on & you start to feel it tingle & when you wash it off it feels all nice, tingly, and clean. When I used to as a facewash (I was my face 2 times a day), it seemed to make my face a little drier than usual. I think it did more for my acne when used as a mask, but overall its still a good product.
