I used Pantene shampoo and conditioner when my hair was 3 feet long, thinking that it would be gentle and moisturizing to my hair. I was wrong, for all of the reasons stated by the previous posters. My hair was a wreck. I cut my hair to shoulder length and have only used salon products (Redken, Biolage, ARTec, etc.) since, and my hair has never looked better. I will never buy Pantene products again.
Kudos to the aspirin mask! I use it about once per week to help keep the blackheads at bay. It's cheap, quick, easy and very effective.
I have used just about every one of Feria's red shades and several brunette shades over a period of several years. My hair is very resilient and did not seem to suffer too much as a result. But the fading was a big problem with just about every shade. I now go to the salon to get my hair colored, with much better results. If you're on a budget, this is a pretty decent hair color for the money, but you can expect quite a bit of fading in a short period of time.
Eye Makeup Remover -Lancome - Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Make-up Remover

This is an excellent eye makeup remover. It needs to be oily in order to dissolve waterproof mascara, and it does not irritate my eyes or skin. But the price is outrageous, and once I discovered Almay Dual-Phase Eye Makeup Remover, I will no longer purchase Lancome's Bi-Facial.
I use this conditioner in a pinch when I run out of Biolage or other salon conditioners. It is a good low-end conditioner, and I don't mind the fragrance as it does not linger on my hair.
This is a very good lower-end shampoo for colored hair. I use it in a pinch when I run out of my Biolage and other salon shampoos or when I'm on a tight budget. I don't mind the fragrance, either, as it does not linger for long on my hair.
This hand soap has a wonderful, warm vanilla fragrance. I hope BBW brings it back for the 2005 Holiday Season so I can buy some more!
Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Anti Bacterial Hand Soap in Warm Vanilla Sugar
Janay 8/30/2005 6:34:00 AM
I really enjoy the true vanilla fragrance of this hand soap. I use it in both the Deep Cleansing and Moisturizing varieties. The Deep Cleansing Hand Soap leaves no residue behind and is good use before handling my contact lenses. I hope that BBW never discontinues this scent.
Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Antibacterial Hand Soap Crisp Citrus Herb
Janay 8/30/2005 5:49:00 AM
I really like the Crisp Citrus Herb scent as it is much more grown-up than many of the other BBW fragrances. I use this in both the Deep Cleansing and Moisturizing varieties.
This is a terrific hand soap, and one of my favorites of all of the BBW fragrances. It does not smell too feminine or masculine and does not dry out the hands. I always have a bottle of this soap in at least one of my bathrooms. BBW made the mistake of temporarily discontinuing this scent some time ago - I hope they never try that again!
Concealers -Lancome - Maquicomplet (Complete Coverage Concealer)
Janay 8/29/2005 8:58:00 PM
I was able to get a perfect color match with this concealer but had problems with it creasing on me. No matter what I tried, it would crease. Also, the container is very messy, and mine developed a crack and started to leak. I ended up throwing it away and will not purchase again. Almay Amazing Lasting Concealer works much better on me, for much less money.
Lancome has some beautiful colors in their Rouge Sensation line, but I can't get beyond the awful scent. Also, these lipsticks do not wear much better than some of the lower-end ones, so the high prices aren't worth it to me.
Scrubs -Bath and Body Works - Pure Simplicity Ginger Rejuvenating Body Scrub
Janay 8/29/2005 7:33:00 PM
This is my favorite scrub in the Pure Simplicity line. I like that it lathers much like a soap and is not as thick as the other scrubs in the line. I agree with previous posters that the tub is not the easiest thing to handle in the shower, but it would be impossible to package in a tube because the opening would get clogged in no time (I've had this happen with other scrubs). Just use a wooden spatula (for hot wax application for hair removal) to dig the right amount of product out of the container, and throw the spatula away after one use. This scrub has a rich ginger smell that lasts for several hours on me. I like to wear Origins Ginger Essence Intensified Fragrance Spray and Origins Ginger Souffle whipped body cream on the days I use this scrub - these scents are very complimentary. I buy this scrub in bulk during the sales, as the normal price is pretty high.
I like the adorable packaging and wide range of colors. However, I could not stand the smell of these glosses and choked at the high prices. They are not that much better than drugstore brands.
Scrubs -Bath and Body Works - Pure Simplicity Fig Hydrating Body Scrub
Janay 8/29/2005 7:11:00 PM
This is an awesome body scrub. The scent mimics a ripe fig exactly, the scrub does not leave a slippery residue in my bathtub, and I get soft, smooth skin as a result of using it. If I apply Votivo Moroccan Fig body lotion and Diptyque Philosykos EDT after the shower, I'm in heaven. My only gripe is the outrageous price. I will only purchase this scrub during the semiannual sales.
