Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - 8-pan Palette "Comfort Zone"

This is a really great palette! I prefer my green eyeshadows to be a little sparkly. I can't pull off the matte green like Nikki Minaj can xD The color payoff on these is FANTASTIC and the fallout-for me- is very minimal. I have oily lids so if I don't use a primer they do crease. The left side is more brown-tones shadows while the right is more of the green shades. All eight colors can be used together very cohesively and create a very pretty look! For only 5 bucks (less if you have a coupon or find it on sale) this palette is totally worth it! Several of these shades are dupes for MUCH more expensive MAC colors. Definitely try to pick one of these up if you have a curiosity about adding some green to your life ;D and if you don't know if you'll like it, head to Ulta! They have a really great return policy for opened and used products!

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
rated 4 of 5

The ONLY way these products could be better than they already are is if they came with more product!!! For around 7 bucks you should get more than an inch of product! But this is the ONLY reason I took off a lippy, everything about them is perfect! They are a perfect blend of lip balm, gloss, and lipstick. Moisturizing and soft like a lip balm. Glossy finish like a gloss, without being tacky and gross. And wonderful color selection like a lipstick. I cannot possibly rave about these enough! If you are in any way hesitant about these products (which you shouldn't be-they are a god send) head to your local Ulta, they have a really great policy for returning opened and used products!!! :D

MAKEUP COMPANIES PLEEEEEASE STOP CLAIMING YOUR PRODUCTS WILLL LAST X AMOUNT OF HOURS WHEN THEY DON'T. YOU ARE LYYYYYYIIINNNGGG. Now that I have that out of my system, onto the review! xD I bought this in two shades: ultimate blush and fuscia forever. Both are very wearable, easy to find, and have a relatively nice formula. I took off a lippy due to the LYING (see top of review) and the lack of matte formulas :P Both are very wearable, the fuscia color is a darker color that to me is more cranberry than fuscia. And ultimate blush is a very basic pink, perfect for everyday wear. One of my issues is the amount of shimmer in these, is it faintly metallic which I can work with but on one of my much paler friends looked very strange. I also don't really like that they aren't sealed in the store. So if you do decide to purchase on, go for the one in the far back where people are less likely to mush is or abuse it (that bothers me so much when people do that...) I do like these and will try to get a couple more colors, it is a very nice range of colors. But if you're not sure, head to Ulta, they have a great return policy for opened or used products :)

Lips -Maybelline - Super Stay 10 Stain Gloss
rated 3 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 7:38:00 PM

I have it in the shade fresh fuscia and HOLY COW they weren't kidding about the fuscia thing! It is bright and rather dark fuscia! I was a little bummed because when I think "stain" I think of a more subtle color. But this little guy packs a punch! I almost returned it but before I did I went online and did some research on the product. I now know that if you put a bit on your finger (don't worry it comes off with soap and water) then spread it onto your lips it applies in a much more sheer way. YOU NEED TO WEAR LIP BALM OR SOMETHING WITH THIS PRODUCT. Not only to help it apply more smoothly but because it is a stain it likes to attach itself to dry patches and cracks in the lips. I know this claims to be a "stain gloss" but I don't really get the glossy affect it claims to have :P For the "10 hour wear" claim I call that BS. I went and entire school day without reapplying and it was totally gone by the end of the day. HOWEVER, I have noticed that if I re-apply maybe once or twice is does start to really stain the lips and stick around for a pretty good long time. This comes in a variety of really nice shades, but make sure to check online for swatches, the cap colors are a bit off. And if you're not sure what shade or if you'll even like the product head to Ulta, they have a great return policy for opened and used products :)

Lipstick -L'Oreal - ColourJuice Stick in Berry Spritzer
rated 4 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 7:29:00 PM

I AM SO SAD THESE HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED. I love them with all of my heart, they are super moisturizing, smell great, apply well, and don't look or feel heavy and fake. Berry Spritzer is the darkest shade I own. It is a deep plumy- pink with quite a bit of shimmer in it. I like to layer it with other dark lip colors to add dimension and cut back on some of the shimmer.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Juice Stick - Strawberry Fields -
rated 4 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 7:26:00 PM

IT MAKES ME SO SAD THESE HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED. This isn't my favorite shade of the three I have, I think it makes me look a touch sickly but I love the formula to much to throw it away. Strawberry Fields is a light pink with oddles of shimmer in it. It is so moisturizing and it smells awesome and it feels so nice AND I AM SO SAD IT IS GONE.

Lips -E.L.F. - Plumping Lip Glaze
rated 3 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 7:23:00 PM

I don't understand why I keep buying lip glosses when I know I don't like them -____- I just don't like the sticky feeling most lip glosses give me. ANYWAY ONTO THE REVIEW. I have this in three shades: baby doll (a very soft and subtle baby pink), oasis (a sort of metallic cool deep pink shade), and fire coral (a slightly darker coral-pink with a good amount of shimmer). I don;t wear these very often and all three are fairly subtle. They aren't to terribly sticky, which is a plus for me. I can't really say much for the plumping side because I'm not a fan of plumping lip glosses. I don't know why I bought these but I will use them up and most likely won't repurchase.

Lipstick -E.L.F. - Lipstick
rated 3 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 7:18:00 PM

With e.l.f. I find it's often to get a lot of hits and misses. I have bought every shade of these one time or another and at the moment I only use three of them: sociable, flirtatious, and charming. If you can get a good one, these lipstick are great. Most are very moisturizing and don't feel too terribly heavy. I really like the way they smell, faintly fruity and I find it pleasant. The packaging sucks, so I had to take off a lippy for that. And I took off another due to inconsistency of quality. Some can be compared to Mac, others make wet n wild lipsticks look high end. Here is a quick rundown of each of the colors I have currently: SOCIABLE: The darkest color I own, it can be a little tough to work with. A dark redish pink it's good for days when I want a darker lip. However, the quantity of glitter is a little sickening. It's CHUNKY and if you don't blend it with another color or add some lip balm it can look crusty, which is totally nasty. But on a positive note, the color is cooler and I find flatters me in a better way than a "true red" could. CHARMING: This is my favorite of the three. It is a very flattering slightly darker pink that is only about a shade darker than my natural lip color, for a gal who prefers a more natural look I really enjoy it. :) FLIRTATIOUS: If you want a natural or neutral color, take this out of your shopping cart. This is BARBIE PINK. No joke. This, to many, would be considered TOO MUCH for everyday use. But I have found that if I mix it with more natural shades and blend it really well it can create a really interesting color. These are so damned cheap and easy to find at most Target's and I've seen some at K-Mart too. And even if you get a dud, you lost a buck. Go back, try another shade. I definitely suggest these if you're new to makeup or want to experiment with some stranger colors (they have an orange shade now) or don't want to break the bank with a more expensive brand.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 7:06:00 PM

I have all four colors of this product (rose, passion, honey and plum) and this one is my FAVORITE!!!! It has the most AMAZING scent; very lemony and refreshing. The formula is very soft and moisturizing, though you have to be careful not to mush it it's so soft. The rose color is PERFECT for those days I want some color on my lips but I want it to be super subtle and not heavy. The container is some sort of very interesting metal (I think) and has a screw on lid which i think it great, I hate when lip products burst open in my bag, ESPECIALLY the more expensive ones! I love all four colors to death and though I have the mini ones I think they'll last me a good long time so I won't need to repurchase anytime soon :)

Mascara -Clinique - High Lengths Mascara
rated 3 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 6:58:00 PM

This is one of two high end mascaras that I own (the other being one from bare minerals, which I've reviewed as well). At 15 bucks a tube I think it's a little ridiculous, I'm a high school student so I usually don't have the cash to spare for makeup like this. I had the woman at Sephora use this on me and it looked so awesome I caved and bought it. You DEFINITELY get what you pay for, this is a great mascara. I use it less for lengthening purposes and more to pump up the volume in my lashes. I personally think thicker lashes are more appealing that long, spidery ones. But that's just me :) The wand for me was a little strange at first, being so used to "teddy bear" styled ones it took some getting used to. It has a curved wand with very stubby plastic bristles.( There is a picture at the top of the page if my description makes no sense to you xD) Usually these kind of wands and my lashes don't play well together but this worked really well for me! The product itself I find to be a bit wetter than what I usually use, and though I was skeptical it worked super well for me! My trick to prevent clumping with ALL mascaras is to scrape off the want on either the edge of the tube opening or wipe it on a no-lint tissue. Overall I liked this product and will definitely use it up, but the chances of me re-purchasing when I enter my college years is unlikely. I'll stick to my drugstore loves :)

Mascara -Revlon - Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara
rated 4 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 6:48:00 PM

This is the first mascara I every used at the time when I was first learning about makeup. My mom bought it and didn't like it. Unlike me, she has very short and stubborn lashes while mine are relatively long and thick (DON'T HATE ME) I REALLY love this mascara. First of all the brush is ENORMOUS. It is one of the "teddy bear" brushes that is meant to provide volume, not so much length. It has really nice bristles that can on some people cause clumping but my trick to that is to ALWAYS scrape most of the product off on the lip of the opening. Working in small layers of mascara is much easier to do and often provides better results :) I have it in the color blackened brown and it is basically the same color as my lashes so it provides a really natural look, but it can be layered more to provide a more dramatic look if you want it to be that way. Me, I like to keep it natural. I've had mine probably longer than I should so my idea of the formula may be a little off, but I find it to be a drier formula which works for my lashes really well. The green packaging of this product is really cute and I like it a lot. It does feel just slightly cheap though but that isn't really a big problem. The tube I think is a tad larger than the average but that doesn't really matter xD Overall an awesome mascara and I definitely suggest it! But if you're hesitant, head to Ulta and but it there. They have an awesome return policy for opened and used products :) UPDATE: I still love this mascara, and realized that as of this year I have been using it on and off for almost 4 years! I almost never buy the same mascara twice. If I hate it I return it and get this instead. This is my benchmark for mascaras because it works so perfectly for me! UPDATE2: I will never stray from you again my wonderful Grow Luscious. I went on a crazy mascara kick a couple weeks back, buying crazy expensive ones that paled in comparison to this one! HOLY GRAIL STATUS ACHIEVED.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes
rated 4 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 6:37:00 PM

My mom originally bought it and it didn't work for her so she gave it to me to try. I actually really like it! I'm not particularly familiar with L'Oreal because I don't use their products as much as I do other brands, but I really loved how this mascara makes my lashes look! I'm not particularly picky about mascara because most work for me as long as they don't have those awful plastic wands (ahem Covergirl Lash Blast). This mascara's want isn't my favorite because I find it harder to get the tinier lashes in my inner corner. But because of it's thicker part toward the handle of the wand I find my lashes get that very nice "fanned" effect, which I love! I have it in brown (Not sure the name of the shade of brown but I think it might just be "brown" xD) and I find the formula to be a bit drier which I'm totally good with! I do not however believe it gives you a "false lash" effect, no mascara can do that. If you want that effect, use some false lashes! I really like the gold outside and the really cool angular design of the outside, it doesn't roll off my table and smear mascara everywhere!! So overall I do like this mascara! I don't think I would run back to repurchase it but I put "yes" because if I couldn't find another basic brown mascara I like as this one I will totally repurchase! If you are hesitant about purchasing, Ulta has a great return policy for opened and used products!

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
rated 4 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 6:28:00 PM

Oh. My. God. I DON'T KNOW HOW I LIVED WITHOUT THIS. If I feel a pimple coming on I dab a layer of this over the area and sleep on it, I prefer to not use it all over my face at night with fear of ruining my sheets. And by morning the bump is greatly reduced! I've gone through 2 tubes of this stuff!!! I use it once a week on weeks when I've been wearing makeup a lot and my skin looks tired and blah. I put a good layer of it on and let it dry completely, then I hop in the shower and rinse it off. It helps to dry out pimples, reduce redness (a little), and clear out blackheads! However, I had a friend who bought it and used it TOO MUCH and her face got very very dry so if you do use it everyday try to put on lotsa moisturizer or just do it weekly like me as a facial to give your skin a treat! If you are hesitant about it, go to Ulta and buy it there. If you find you don't like it, return it! Ulta has an awesome return policy for opened or used products!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 2 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 6:22:00 PM

I hate to put in a bad review amongst so many good ones but I really just didn't like this. A teammate on my dance team uses it everyday and it makes her lashes look FABULOUS so I RAN to the store to try it, needless to say it didn't work the same for me. The ginormous brush is hard to maneuver and since I wear contacts, the fear of getting mascara in my eyes is pretty prominent here. Not only that, the wand is plastic and the bristles are super short and my lashes just dont agree with that! I have fairly thick and long lashes but this just didn't work for me :( I got it in black on accident, I usually get a dark brown mascara because I think it looks better on me, and it looked SO FAKE. It was ICKY. Not only that, the formula is almost watery and just weighed down my lashes in the worst kind of way. And by the end of the day I had little specks and smears of black all around my eyes, and that almost never happens to me. I'm not mad this didn't work for me, I'm a little sad to be honest. I was hoping it would work as well for me as it did for the rest of you :(

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express One by One
rated 4 of 5
ChaseSpearing 3/29/2012 6:14:00 PM

I have fairly long lashes that are pretty thick, but before you start to hate me hear me out! They tend to grow in weird ways so they look uneven and some places look like there aren't even lashes. I wear mascara pretty much every day and have only used this twice and I have to say I really like it! My lashes don't tend to play well with the plastic applicators such as this one's HOWEVER, this beautifully separated and coated my lashes very evenly without looking gross and fake, because there is nothing more that I hate than fake looking lashes. I got it in the color brownish black because I think it is more suitable and natural for everyday use. I much prefer natural makeup on a day to day basis because I'm 17 and go to school everyday and don't want to spend an hour on my makeup! The wand itself has longer plastic bristles in the center and they get shorter on the ends. (My description sucks, but there are oddles of pictures at the top of the page!) I like that the bristles are longer because I find they catch my lashes better and make them look great! So overall I think this is a great mascara for me, granted I have pretty nice lashes naturally so it may not work for those of you with more stubborn lashes. But I suggest if you want to try it buy it at Ulta! They have a much better return policy for opened products :)
