Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets

I'm addicted to the little blue sheets! I have used them since the day they came out and will continue to indefinitley. Those of us with oily skin know how great these are. A huge improvement over the old powder ones I used to get from the body shop way back in the 90s. I've made all my friends love these too. Only really drawback is the packaging which needs some improvement.

Treatments -MD Forte - Glycare Perfection Gel
sblee 6/24/2009 6:08:00 PM
This stuff works! Since I have started using M.D. Forte Cleanser (II) I decided to try another product from the line. This gel has 1% salicyclic acid and 10 or 15% glycolic acid (I believe). The gel has been quite helpful at clearing out my clogged pores and healing acne much faster than drugstore products. MD Forte is affordable for the amount of product you get and the level of effectiveness. ETA: 8/15/09- I'm adding a lippie because this gel has been working wonderfully this summer! It is worth every penny.

Treatments -Neutrogena - On the Spot Acne Treatment Vanishing Formula
sblee 6/24/2009 1:37:00 PM
This is my go-to BP cream when my skin is irritated or dry and cannot handle Persagel (which is 10% BP). Since my skin is normally pretty oily On the Spot cannot dry me out no matter how much I use. Which is nice when my skin is not happy with me. However, normally I need something stronger. I do keep a tube of this around.

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
sblee 6/23/2009 6:18:00 PM
A classic. This mask is seriously cheap, has a few ingredients (always a plus) and makes your skin feel good and clean. No it is not a high-tech product with lasting results- but for the price and simplicity it's well worth it. Quite decent in deed.

Cleansers -Purpose - Gentle Cleansing Wash
sblee 6/23/2009 6:14:00 PM
Not a bad basic cleanser. I recently gave up on Cetaphil products and decide to try the Purpose. My skin is oily on the lower half (especially my nose) and normal on my forehead. I use tretinoin .025 gel so I like to have a simple gel cleanser that doesn't strip my skin. I don't wear very much makeup- concealer and powder usually. My skin is not particularly sensitive so this cleanser does it's job. Simple and efficient. 9/21/09- ETA: This has become too drying for my skin, so much for gentle. I started getting blotchiness, flaking, and discomfort. I'm back to Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser then trying samples of Paula's choice skin balancing.

Tinted Moisturizer -Clearasil - Adult Care Tinted Cream
sblee 4/1/2009 1:54:00 PM
this is the worst! i do not have sensitive skin at all but this basiclaly burned my skin and made a pimple much worse. I have used sulfur products before, almost every prescription topical, and even accutane. This formula is terrible. Maybe I have an allergy to the tinted ingredient in this cream. Regardless, I would never use this product again. Be careful less is definitely more when it comes to clearasil. -s.
