Treatments -Estee Lauder - Advanced Night Repair (Serum)

According to the instructions, you can use this under moisturizer BOTH morning and night despite its title. I am 3/4 through with the bottle and I am unimpressed. I didnt think it did anything special to my skin. It's a ugly mucuous yellow serum that instantly absorbs on your skin. I am having trouble finishing the last fourth of the serum because the eye-dropper dispenser has stopped working. The only reason that I am giving this a 3 instead of a 1 is because my Mom has been using this stuff for years and she has great skin.
Scrubs -Lancome - Aroma Tonic Energizing Body Scrub
thehepburn 5/25/2004 12:22:00 AM
I found this scrub a little too rough for my taste; I thought the grains were too big and hard. I am used to the scrubs from Freeman and Totally Juicy, I guess. It does smell great - a nice citrusy smell - and the scent lingered on my skin all day which was nice. I plan to use the rest of the batch on my feet only til its gone. I guess if you like a citrusy tough body scrub, this is the one for you. :-)
Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula

I wanted to try something with cocoa butter because I remember that it was very emollient growing up. My aunt used to use cocoa butter all the time. This smelled ok at the drugstore ($4 @ Duane Reade) but after the first application, the cheap cocoa butter smell started nausiating me. The smell is so strong and cloying that my friends would always smell it on me and I had to discontinue using it because they hated the smell also. It's very emollient and greasy but good for hands and feet if you can bear the smell.
Treatments -Shiseido - UV White Whitening Massage Essence

Shiseido is one of my favorite companies so it pains me to diss this product but I felt this product was a waste. It certainly doesnt whiten and doesnt moisturize enough for my normal/dry skin. The only reason I didnt give this only 1 LS is because it absorbs quickly and leaves a nice matte finish. It comes in a pump that always leave just the right amount in your hand.
Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Futur-e Moisturizer SPF 15 (Oil-Free)
thehepburn 5/24/2004 5:27:00 PM
My mother bought this for the guest bathroom without consulting me. As soon as I looked over the ingredients, I pointed out that it doesn't have broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. As a moisturizer I think it's okay. It has a pleasant odor and seems to absord quickly but it does leave a slightly sticky feeling. Again, its not bad but I am sure that there are plenty of better moisturizers out there for the same price.
Scrubs -Fresh - Sugar Face Polish with Strawberries

I got this as a gift and was shocked that it was $55. I am not looking forward to spending that kind of money but I have to say that I have NEVER used a product that has left my skin so soft and smooth before. My skin is relatively clear all the time but it just never feels smooth. I cant stop touching my skin. I have normal to dry skin and I love all the oils in it. Someone with oily prone skin will probably not like this product. I gave this 4 LS instead of 5 because the price is terrible and the jar (bulky heavy milk glass) could be improved on.
