Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Bathed and Infused - The Lost

I bought this on a whim wanting to see what the big deal was about the original POTL perfume. Having said that, it now seems kinda silly since I had never even smelled the original. So whether it smells anything or even close to POTL, I don't know. What I do know is that this stuff really grew on me. At first it seems very heavy on the cherry/almond kinda like the old Jergen's lotion used to smell. But give it a little time and it gets just a touch of incense. It's a very comforting scent to me and I like to spray it on at bedtime. It's nice but I probably won't re-purchase

Shampoo -Neutrogena - Triple Moisture cream lather shampoo
rated 4 of 5

I can't believe I've actually found a shampoo that is almost TOO moisturizing. I have never used a shampoo before that using a conditioner afterwards would be unthinkable until this one. I like it b/c I can skip the conditioning when I use this. However, I also have very fine hair and it can be too much so I don't even use this one every day. If I had seriously dry, coarse hair, I would think this would be a God-send for the price and quality. Smells wonderful too. I;ve re-purchased once and I'm sure I will again.

Fragrances -Givenchy - Amarige de Givenchy
rated 4 of 5

Fragrance is incredibly connected to memories for me and Amarige is no exception. When my sister and I were poor college students, we got a bottle of this and "agreed" to share it. It was probably around the Fall of 1993-1994 when we both fell in love with it. It reminds me of walking to class and feeling the brisk autumn wind on my face. The scent is rich and I consider it a fall or winter perfume. I have gotten tons of compliments on this expecially from men!! I don't know why but they seem to really love it. I thought maybe it was just me until I looked at the other reviews and saw that it apparently has that effect on lots of guys. Please apply sparingly!!! It's very easy to overdo this scent. I have a terrible time describing scents but it's definately a floral oriental and I'm not sure if vanilla is one of the notes but that is what I've always smelled in it. I don't wear it often now but I have a little bottle of it among my many other perfumes and when the mood strikes every fall, I dab a little on.

Tinted Moisturizer -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Enhancer SPF 20

Great foundation for when you don't really want to wear foundation. I bought this last summer and it's great for when you want to use a sunscreen but you also need to even out your skin tone a bit. If you're looking for major coverage, walk on by this one but my skin is in pretty good condition and this is just right in those hot sticky summer months. Price is great too. Beware of the obvious "suncreen-y" smell though.

Fragrances -Juicy Couture - Fragrance

A girl I was sitting next to in class smelled absolutely amazing and when I asked her what she was wearing she said Juicy Couture. Great, yet another perfume I had to try. On her it smelled wonderfully warm and inviting and I get a sample off Ebay and I'm like what? This smells just like Sand and Sable to me!!! Tuberose and that's all I got out of this. I asked her if she was wearing the Viva La Juicy since those notes sounded more like what she was wearing but she said no just the regular one. Oh well, I guess it's true that perfumes smell different depending on your body chemistry.

Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Blackberry Amber
rated 4 of 5

Like so many people have already said, this is like a poor girl's version of Euphoria but that's not necessarily bad. It's funny how some people think Euphoria is sharper but I have this in the body spray and for me, it's got something about it that's sharper than Euphoria. But, for the price and level of sophistication, I don't think this can be beat. This is definately not your typical BBW scent and they are coming along nicely with their more complex scents. It's a great mix of a fruity scent that is tempered with a darker muskier scent. Very good for fall or winter.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto
rated 1 of 5
suzyqz1970 7/26/2009 11:39:00 AM

Again, loyal MUA's didn't steer me wrong on the makeup board, but I just had to try this stuff. The only reason i didn't rate it lower is that the brush did deposit something that resembled color on my lashes but that was about it. I look at it like this: there are "good" stilettos and bad stilettos. This mascara is the Julia Robert's Pretty Woman streetwalker beat-up-high-heel-boot type of stiletto. Will not purchase again.

Fragrance -Dolce & Gabbana - Dolce and Gabbana pour homme EDT

I don't know what D & G put in this stuff but I've gone so far as to buy 2 bottles of it for 2 old boyfriends of mine (the relationships didn't last but my fond memories of how they smelled did!!!) This cologne lends almost instant sophistication to any guy that wears it. The first time I smelled it I was at a formal function and I this guy I knew asked me to help him with his cuff links and I caught a whiff of his cologne and while we were chatting I had to interrupt him and ask him what he was wearing. Any guy who asks if I like cologne I don't miss a beat in suggesting this one. I've never been a fanatic about the type of cologne a guy wears until this came along. I can't even describe it other than to say it's wonderful!!!!!

Conditioner -TRESemme - Thermal Recovery
rated 5 of 5
suzyqz1970 7/21/2009 9:49:00 PM

It's a good thing that there is no hot line for people who abuse their hair because I am sure I would be called in. It's been dyed, heat styled, bleached, you name it and I've probably done it. In my early "kitchen beautician" days, I've turned it green, given myself hot roots numerous times and other assorted sad hair tales. As a devoted Project Runway viewer, I always saw them take the models down to the TRESemme hair salon to get ready for the runway and it made me curious about their products. Anway, I picked up the shampoo and matching conditioner for Thermal Recovery. Man, this stuff rocks!!!! My hair feels so silky after I rinse it out. It's a daily conditioner but I don't have to use it everyday b/c my hair is fine and it tends to weigh it down just a bit so skipping a day works well for me. The price is great and i got a huge bottle of it. I rank this up with my Nature's Therapy conditioner i get from Sally's and that's saying a lot.

Hair Color -Clairol - Premium Creme Soy Complex
rated 4 of 5
suzyqz1970 7/19/2009 4:14:00 PM

A few months back I decided I was tired of my dark brown hair and wanted to lighten it up. I heard that as we age we need to lighten our hair but the girl that does my hair said the only way to lighten my hair was to highlight it extensively b/c of the many layers of color on it. So she did but since I wanted to lighten it all over she said let it grow out 2-3 inches and then use a level 7 (I'm naturally b/t a Level 4 and 5) on the new virgin hair and continue doing it. I used this color before when i was going dark brown and liked it but I chose a Level 7NN and it matched my highlighted hair PERFECTLY. Seriously, I could not have gotten a better match and it feels wonderful. This is the least drying color i have used in a long, long time if ever. I haven't experienced any fading but maybe it depends on the shade. I will re-purchase.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Stray Dog Eyeshadow
rated 5 of 5
suzyqz1970 7/19/2009 3:52:00 PM

This is one of my all-time favorite eye shadows. I love taupe colors on my greyish blue eyes and on a whim at Sephora one day I picked this up. This is such a great color that goes with so many different looks. I like eyeshadows that can go with a lot of different lipstick, blush colors, etc. and this one is a great neutral. It has some shimmer to it so I wouldn't describe it as matte but it's definately not "shiny". Love it.

Styling Products -SAMY - Fat Hair Zero "0" Calories Amplifying Hair Spray
rated 4 of 5
suzyqz1970 7/19/2009 3:42:00 PM

I have fine hair but a lot of it and living in a humid climate makes it fall flat, flat, flat. I like this hairspray. I definately can get volume with it and it holds well in a humid environment. Even though I love Big Sexy Hair's Spray and Play, I'm not willing to pay that price for hair spray. This one is not as cheap as Got To Be's volumizing hair spray but IMO it works better. I'm on my 3rd bottle of this

Fragrances -Earthen Treasures - Moisturizing Body Mist
rated 5 of 5
suzyqz1970 7/12/2009 12:16:00 PM

I was looking for a couple of light scents for the office during the hot summer months and I've had pretty good luck with Earthen Treasure's body mists in the past so I thought I'd give the Daisy Dupe and the Coach Dupe a shot. Strangely, I've always had better results with her body mists than edp's for some reason. I've liked a couple of the edp's but some really missed the mark. Anyway, I really like the formula b/c I think they really are very moisurizing. You have to shake them up before you use them but big deal. Daisy smells pretty close to the real thing and I REALLY liked the Coach one even though I've never smelled the real thing. the scents are very long lasting for body sprays and I've always really liked this about ET's body mists. Both seem to be fairly gentle discrete scents that wouldn't be too obnoxious for the office or around people who are scent sensitive. The price is really good too. Will re-purchase

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Renova - Renova Rx cream
rated 3 of 5
suzyqz1970 7/2/2009 10:31:00 AM

I'm probably one of the few people who didn't have an amazing experience with Renova. Granted, I probably should have given it more time but I was only using samples from my dermatologist and didn't want to pay the full price. Anyway, I think part of the deal with me is that I have been using retinols for over a year now and my skin is kinda tough I guess. It feels great going on and unlike some of the other retinol products I've used (Green Cream 6 and 9 and Skinceuticals 1.0), I never peeled or burned while using it. Having said that, maybe that's why I never saw any "results". My main issue is the quotation marks around my mouth and fine lines near my eyes. I went ahead and called my dermatologist back and got samples for Retin A. I think if you have "virgin" skin, you may see more dramatic results then I did. I'm also 38 and have used sunscreen and tried to take care of my skin as best i can barring cosmetic surgery. Anyway, that's my two cents.
