Lip Liners -Wet 'n' Wild - #666 liner
kkdallas 6/19/2003 9:50:00 PM
I also bought the shimmery version but I can not detect any shimmer on my lips. This color was way too brown for me, a cool-toned LLL. It dragged across my lips. I am glad I tried it, only 99 cents. But the color and texture were not working for me.

Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Lip Nutrition- Soothing Mint
kkdallas 6/19/2003 8:47:00 PM
I bought this on a whim. I normally abhor lip balms in pots but I was having a weak lip balm moment. This is a lovely balm. It is slightly shimmery and I will wear this during the day this summer for moisture and a little bit of polish for my summer face. I love the mint scent....just like mint chocolate chip icecream as another MUA accurately described below. It feels nice and light on my lips and I love the slight cooling effect of the mint. Very nice balm but I'm not ditching Smith's Rosebud for extraordinary chapping relief.

Treatments (Eye) -Shiseido - Benefiance Revitalizing Eye Cream [DISCONTINUED]
kkdallas 6/19/2003 6:44:00 PM
This is a great eyecream. It is a pale beige cream that looks like old lady night cream. It comes with a little spatula that you use to get the cream out. That is the one aspect of this cream I didn't like. However, it hydrates my undereye area so well. I use it at night, everynight. I even use it on days when I am dry and it does not cause my concealor or eye makeup to streak. The fine lines are less noticeable but I don't really see a big difference in the darkness. However, I think the dark circles are hereditary and I mainly wanted something for the fine lines. Very nice cream!

Lip Gloss -Neutrogena - Moisture Shine Lipgloss in Dizzy
kkdallas 6/19/2003 6:39:00 PM
What a great gloss! This is my first Moisture Shine gloss and I love it. The color looks shocking in the tube....a bright, opaque hot pink. I almost didn't buy it. But it goes on very sheer, very light and moisturizing. It feels great on my lips! It is a very sheer fruity pink on my lips and will be great for the summer. I am a LLL with cool undertones and this is a great color for me. It is not sticky and tacky. I will go back and buy Glam or Coy, the other 2 I had decided against.

Lip Treatments -Almay - Pure Tints Protective Lip Care

I bought this in Clear and am very happy. I didn't read the reviews on MUA before purchasing this and it appears that many people are ranting about it. I am pleasantly surprised with this product. I have Clear, which is a very pale, shimmery color on my lips. It is almost pink/nude. I really like the slip and feel and the SPF of 25 is awesome! It feels light and smooth on my lips, not waxy at all. This will be great for summer.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Eye Basics
kkdallas 5/13/2003 10:02:00 PM
I have been using Clinique Touch Base for years and recently started noticing more creasing. Additionally the Touch Base seemed so heavy. I purchased Eye Basics in Linen and I love it! It is very light and I wouldn't use alone. It comes in a small lipgloss shaped tube with a sponge wand applicator. I dot it on my lids and blend with a finger or a concealer brush. It keeps my shadow color true and crease-proof! My shadow and liner lasts all day and it doesn't turn a funny color. I am anticipating buying other colors of this, perhaps wheat or pink.

Lip Liners -Laura Mercier - Baby Lips lip pencil
kkdallas 5/12/2003 10:04:00 PM
I was looking for a YLBB color. LM's Chestnut was too dark. Baby Lips is just a shade too light but I really like it. It is a medium pink with a slight coral undertone. I like to line my entire lip with it and cover it with balm or gloss. The pencil has no tug and glides on easily. It is long lasting too. Very nice product.

Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - translucent loose powder
kkdallas 5/12/2003 9:59:00 PM
This is such a nice powder. I have been using Clinique LP for years and wanted to try something new. It is lighter, smoother and more finely textured than Clinique. I love how it kind of melts into my skin, leaving a nice, semi-matte finish on my face. It doesn't cake up under my eyes. It doesn't change color in my T-zone. Very good quality and I look forward to trying more of LM's products.

Sunscreen -La Mer - Fluid Spf 18
kkdallas 5/12/2003 9:51:00 PM
This is great! It is a liquid SPF that doesn't smell bad and absorbs into my skin like a dream. There is no weird white film on my skin. I will sometimes mix a few drops of Kiehl's moisturizer on days that I am feeling dry. But 99% of the time, it is all I need under my makeup. I have been please with the La Mer moisturizers and serums. My complexion is clear and I use less concealer. I don't even wear foundation these days. I will definately purchase this again. I live in Texas and need a good quality, light SPF during the day.

Cleansers -La Mer - Cleansing Gel
kkdallas 5/12/2003 9:46:00 PM
Received this as a sample. It foamed up nicely and removed all of my makeup. It seemed a little too harsh for my normal skin though. I can't believe how expensive this cleanser is. I don't think it is worth the high price. It seems only average.

Treatments (Eye) -La Mer - Eye Balm [DISCONTINUED]

I got a sample size of this with my recent La Mer purchase. It is nice but not worth the $100. It is easily absorbed. But it doesn't really feel like a big treat for my eyes. IIt doesn't smell bad. I have been using it for 2 weeks and it is almost gone. I think I will try Shisheido's eye cream instead of buying this.

Treatments -La Mer - Face Serum
kkdallas 5/12/2003 9:33:00 PM
I got this as a sample with my recent La Mer purchase at Neiman Marcus. I really like this serum and will purchase a full size bottle. I wear it under my makeup during the day. I put on CDLM at night. My make up seems to go on smoother and my complexion is clear and rosy. Great line but I wonder about the real story behind the "miracle broth". C'mon...a NASA scientist? Regardless, I like the product and I encourage everyone to try it.

Moisturizers -La Mer - Creme de la mer moisturizer
kkdallas 5/12/2003 9:29:00 PM
This stuff looks like white paste and feels heavy. But I followed the SA's instructions and put a very small amount on my fingertips and rubbed then together. This broke down the cream and I then patted it on my face. I thought I wasn't using enough but the SA called me and assured me I was using enough. I think I tend to over-moisturize. My T-zone is noticeably less oily and my monthly breakout was quickly healed. My dry cheeks are less dry. My complexion is clearer and I am not wearing foundation after 2 weeks of use. I don't feel all "soupy" at night with tons of moisturizer on my face. This stuff is great and I will buy it again. I wish it wasn't so expensive.

Concealers -Cle de Peau - Concealer
kkdallas 5/12/2003 9:15:00 PM
I finally used up my Clinique concealer and gave into my lemming for this. I love it!! It is $65 and comes in a lipstick-like tube. I think the packaging looks a bit outdated but the product is awesome. I wanted to get it in the lightest color but the saleslady talked me into beige. It is perfect! I apply it with a concealer brush and I use so little. This will last a long time. It is light, doesn't seap into my fine lines and creases, and blends like a dream. I set it with poweder and don't even need foundation. I am very pleased!
