After reading such positive reviews on this product, I was really excited to try it!! However, it just didn't work with my skin. When I applied just enough to cover my acne/acne scars, it got SUPER oily throughout the day and literally slid off! When I applied less, it did a crappy job of providing coverage (and still appeared slightly greasy). Normally my skin isn't all that oily either. :( Another MAJOR negative, is I started breaking out more after using this...it was just way too heavy. I will continue my search to find a full coverage ( and "natural" looking) foundation. ****UPDATE: ***** If you are looking for a wonderful coverage foundation that won't make you greasy or cause breakouts, I recommend Gabriel Cosmetics-- Liquid Foundation and Dual Powder! My new favorites!!! EDIT: 10/10/12: After trying Kat Von D's new Lock-It Tattoo Foundation, I am in love!!!! PHENOMENAL coverage without oxidation/greasiness. See my review on this for more details, if you're interested. Not super natural, but at least the formulation is without parabens, mineral oil, fragrance, etc. :)

Powder -Alima - Satin Matte Mineral Foundation
rated 2 of 5
dancer156 9/16/2010 7:16:00 PM

I just don't think mineral makeup and my skin mesh well. While this was a good foundation (out of all the loose powder foundations I have tried), it still did NOT provide good coverage for my acne (even with their concealer) and did NOT help with oil (even with their balancing primer powder). After a few hours, I noticed my T-zone was extremely oily, my cheeks had dry patches on them, and the fine lines on my forehead were much more accented. If mineral makeup works well with your skin, I would recommend this. But if you're looking for full coverage, go with a liquid foundation. ****UPDATE: ***** If you are looking for a wonderful coverage foundation that won't make you greasy or cause breakouts, I recommend Gabriel Cosmetics-- Liquid Foundation and Dual Powder! Liquid -Lavera - Makeup Fluid
rated 1 of 5

Wow, I wish I could have read these reviews before I purchased! This was an absolutely HORRIBLE foundation-- I wonder why the heck it won so many awards! The consistently was disgusting...very sticky, provided absolutely ZERO coverage, and was way too dark/yellow (I purchased the lightest shade too-- with supposedly "medium" coverage). I do appreciate Lavera's customer service though, and their wonderful return policy. After so many disappointing attempts to wear natural foundation, I think I may just throw in the towel and go back to using Presciptives virtual matte. At least that covered my acne. ****UPDATE: ***** If you are looking for a wonderful coverage foundation that won't make you greasy or cause breakouts, I recommend Gabriel Cosmetics-- Liquid Foundation and Dual Powder! Foundations -Vapour Organic Beauty - Atmosphere Luminous Foundation
rated 2 of 5

I used this along with the Vapour instant skin perfector and Vapour concealer. I really didn't like it at all. It does NOT provide good coverage (even with the Vapour concealer) and started looking greasy after a few hours. The color selections really aren't that great either...I tried 100 (the lightest) and it was too pink (I have very fair yellow toned skin)....then I tried 115 and it was too dark (and still too pink). For positives, the smell was very nice and the packaging really travel-friendly. I ended up giving this to my sister, and it actually works well for her. For the record, I do appreciate Vapour's excellent customer service and return policy! I would recommend this for people with pink undertones, dry skin, and not needing much coverage. Eyeliner -Jane Iredale - Liquid Eye Liner
rated 1 of 5
dancer156 9/16/2010 6:52:00 PM

I like Jane Iredale's products...but this was definitely one of the WORST eye liners I have ever tried!!! :( It flaked after only a few hours (without me even touching my eyelids)! If you are looking for an eye liner that has tremendous staying power, get MAC's liquid last eyeliner. It's not as natural as Jane Iredale's, but hey, sometimes you can't get the best of both worlds. :( ****UPDATE****** I just discovered a natural eye liner that performs as a liquid eye liner! It is by: Tarte, and is called: EmphasEYES Aqua Gel Eyeliner. Long lasting and easy to apply! :)

Primer/ Corrector -Jane Iredale - Absence
rated 4 of 5
dancer156 9/16/2010 6:46:00 PM

Ehhhhh I'm still on the fence for this product. I've been using it for a couple of days, each time trying a different application technique. I have only been using a VERY small amount of the primer and applying it with a foundation brush, using a criss-cross motion (following the directions)...it does make my skin soft (and thus making it easier to apply foundation)....but it just feels so heavy on my face, and I actually think it makes my face more greasy looking. For the positives, it has a very nice smell, good packaging, good color (doesn't make my fair skin any more pale looking), and doesn't break my skin out (huge positive). Maybe others will have better luck with this. ******EDIT****** Since this is the first primer that hasn't caused me breakouts, I was determined to make this work! Instead of applying it all over my face, I just put it on the areas where my pores were enlarged (upper cheeks). It worked PERFECTLY. My pores were completely concealed all day!! I have tried a LOT of high-end super expensive primers, and this one beats them all for pore minimizing. :)

Concealers -Jane Iredale - Circle Delete
rated 3 of 5
dancer156 9/16/2010 6:35:00 PM

I thought this concealer was the BEST natural concealer ever (and I have tried wayyyyy too many, haha)! It covers undereye circles beautifully, as well as blemishes. It stays on very well throughout the day too, I don't notice it creasing at all. While this is not quite as good as the Prescriptives concealer I used previously, I am still very pleased with the product. My one complaint is the packaging. I understand the concept of putting 2 colors together so people can blend for a better match...but I wish they would just put all the colors in individual containers and charge less for it. I bought the lightest shade combo, but only use the "darker" shade (matches perfectly)...so that first color is completely wasted. ******EDIT****** After using this for a few weeks, I've noticed that it works well under my eyes, but not so much to cover acne. My face tends to get a bit oily, and this stuff separates with the oil. My under eye circles really aren't dark at all, so if you have super dark circles you may want to try something else. This is still the best natural concealer I have found, but it just doesn't work as well as the "un-natural" kinds. ******EDIT 2***** I just found the BEST natural concealer for under my eyes: Priia Cosmetics Creamy Mineral Undereye Concealer, great pigmentation and long-lasting!! Eyeliner -MAC - Liquidlast Liner - Point Black
rated 4 of 5
dancer156 9/16/2010 6:23:00 PM

This definitely has the BEST staying-power out of any eye liner I have ever tried!!! The rich black color is so beautiful too. I did find the liquid to be a bit clumpy coming out of the bottle, so you need to wipe some off on the rim. It is also a little tricky to apply at first, you definitely need a steady hand. A lot of people have complained at how hard it is to remove this stuff-- but I find dipping a Q-tip in Jojoba oil removes the eye liner very easily.

Crème -MAC - Studio Tech
rated 1 of 5
dancer156 9/16/2010 6:17:00 PM

This was my first time trying MAC foundation. I had read such positive reviews on their products, that I was interested in trying their foundation. I went to one of the stores and had a sales rep apply some of the studio tech to my face. While she was applying it, I started smelling something horrible....like musk and rotten fruit. I thought maybe she was just wearing some terrible smelling perfume. However, when I got into my car and starting driving home I realized it was the foundation!!! The smell seriously made me want to throw up, I had to wash the stuff off my face the second I got home. I really did like the color and the coverage this foundation gave, but I WISH they would do something about the smell!!!! :( EDIT: 10/10/12: After trying Kat Von D's new Lock-It Tattoo Foundation, I am in love!!!! PHENOMENAL coverage without oxidation/greasiness. See my review on this for more details, if you're interested. :)

Liquid -Real Purity - Real Purity Health Glow Foundation
rated 1 of 5
dancer156 9/16/2010 6:08:00 PM

I have been trying to purchase more "natural" products for my skin and hair, but finding a good foundation has been EXTREMELY difficult. This is probably one of the worst natural foundations I have tried. The lightest color was way too dark for my skin, it made my face extremely greasy, and provided absolutely ZERO coverage. I know this foundation works well for some people, but my skin did not agree with it. :( EDIT: ****If you are looking for a wonderful coverage foundation that won't make you greasy or cause breakouts, I recommend Gabriel Cosmetics-- Liquid Foundation and Dual Powder! Liquid -Hourglass - Veil Fluid Makeup SPF 15
rated 3 of 5
dancer156 9/16/2010 6:03:00 PM

I LOVE that the lightest shade of this foundation matches my very fair and yellow toned skin perfectly. It has a very nice texture and smell, but really didn't provide that great of coverage. It was radiant when first applied, but did get a little greasy looking throughout the day. I think this would be a great product for those with dry skin who are looking for a more sheer-finish foundation. ***After trying countless foundations, I have FINALLY concluded that Gabriel Cosmetics works the best for me. The combination of their Liquid Foundation and Dual Powder gives wonderful coverage without causing greasiness or breakouts!*** :) EDIT: 10/10/12: After trying Kat Von D's new Lock-It Tattoo Foundation, I am in love!!!! PHENOMENAL coverage without oxidation/greasiness. See my review on this for more details, if you're interested. Not super natural, but at least the formulation is without parabens, mineral oil, fragrance, etc. :) Hope this review helps!

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rated 3 of 5
dancer156 9/16/2010 5:54:00 PM

I bought this product after reading that is was a medium to full coverage foundation. I find that it BARELY covers my acne scars and I have to pile on concealer afterwards. I'm not sure why people find this a medium-full coverage...I think it's more of a sheer to medium foundation. I had been previously using Prescriptives Virtual Matte, so maybe I was just used to the extreme coverage that gave. Anyway, I did like that Revlon colorstay really does STAY on my face and doesn't melt off toward the end of the day (something other foundations have always done). I thought it controlled shine VERY well too and didn't break out my sensitive acne-prone skin. If my skin ever gets better looking, I may purchase this again...but for now, I will continue my search for a good full coverage foundation. EDIT: 10/10/12: After trying Kat Von D's new Lock-It Tattoo Foundation, I am in love!!!! PHENOMENAL coverage without oxidation/greasiness. See my review on this for more details, if you're interested. :) Hope this review helps!
