This conditioner is wonderful. I love it. It was the best one I found before Kerastase.

I noticed no improvement whatsoever. Nice texture but NOT worth the $.

Before I discovered Kerastase, I used this. I found it did help to soften and detangle my dry, highlighted hair. Obviously I kept searching so I wasn't totally commited to it. For a medium-priced option, I recommend it. Smell is odd, but doesn't linger.

Conditioner -Aura Cacia - Intensive Conditioning Mask

Really great conditioner! I like deep conditioners that are very thick, like you can barely get it out of the tube. This is like that. I like the smell, a strong herbal, Aveda type. I found it conditioned unusually well, seeing as how it was only $6 at Whole Foods! Thumbs up for a lower priced excellent conditioner. (I left it on about 30 min. under a cap.)

Shampoo -Aveda - Sap Moss Shampoo [DISCONTINUED]

Unbelievably bad shampoo! For me, anyway. I found it to be tangling, drying, like I'd sanded my hair then washed it w/ Cascade. Awful.

Skincare - Face -Johnson & Johnson - Purpose Cleanser
rated 5 of 5

I love it! I've tried many different things including extremely expensive skincare and I always come back to this. Foam enough to remove makeup and cleanse throughly, but not so foamy that it strips. For drier skins, the new moisturizing formula is great, I use that in the winter. Certainly worth a try for $5. I recommend using a face brush w/ it (mine is from Body Shop) as it helps the foam and cleaning power. Lasts a long time.

Not good for me, it just sits on my face like jelly. Doesn't remove make-up, I don't like the feel, I just can't believe it can work for anyone! Oh well, I am glad some people are pleased.

AMAZING. I love it because there is nothing else like it, it really feels like a fancy treatment! Tub water turns aqua, bathroom smells unbelievably tranquil and lush, and skin turns out like buttuh! Wonderful item.

I like this on my neck and chest. It burns my face like nothing else! OUCH. And, it's really, really messy so I must pass on it. Hate to, because I love Borghese and feel it's an underrated line.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream
rated 3 of 5
casia 4/24/2003 6:33:00 PM

It's o.k. I love most L'O stuff but this wasn't a favorite. I didn't like the feel--a little too watery/greasy. Didn't mositurize as well as I would have liked. The tube dies last for all eternity, so it makes it a decent value. Borghese is much better in that price range!

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - 100% Pure Shea Butter

I give it five as a lip balm, I love it! It lasts, has no taste, smell, and really feels like it penetrates. I think the consistency isn't too good for other uses (cuticles, etc.) but for lips it's the best.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control
rated 5 of 5

I think this makes an excellent body scrub, if you use it on your face only use a little and go easy on the pressure, it's rough. I love love love it in the shower on my chest and shoulders. Can't beat the price.

Pressed Powders -Lancome - Photogenic Compact [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
casia 4/24/2003 5:18:00 PM

This is the best pressed powder I've found. I use it as a foundation, w/ concealer only. It is very light and I would like a little more coverage than it gives when using it as a foundation, but it looks no natural that I keep using it until I find something better. My skin is sometimes combo and flaky from Retin-a, but generally normal to slightly oily and I think it works well. If I were oilier it might not. The colors are very natural, and it doesn't turn pink or orange or look dirty along the jaw as many colors can. no matter how natural-looking they start out. It also seems to be lasting me quite awhile, so I have no problem w/ the price.

Shave Products -L'Occitane - Shave Balm
rated 5 of 5
casia 4/24/2003 1:52:00 PM

THE BEST. My SO's whiskers grow unbelievably fast, this helps keep them at bay. He loves it and is adamant about using it and only it for the rest of his life. Odd for a guy, huh? It's that good. If you use a shaving brush it lasts a very long time for such a small tube, so it isn't even that pricey.

Hair -Hard Candy - Glitter Hair Spray
rated 4 of 5
casia 4/22/2003 2:11:00 PM

The glitter part is great, I had it in gold. The particles are very fine so you don't look too Cyndi Lauperish if you don't want to (though you could achieve it w/ more)--gives a pretty amount of shimmer w/ only a little. Problem is, the can gets gunky immediately, the spray doesn't come out easily or evenly after awhile. That makes the product inconvenient and expensive.
