Eye Shadow -Revlon - Eye Glide Shadow [DISCONTINUED]
bedhead19 7/19/2005 6:06:00 PM
i have this in a shimmer shadow called sunburst. it looks awfully yellow buttery when you click it out (which takes about 50 clicks) so i was disappointed at first, but then when you blend it, it is such a sheer golden color with super micro silver glitter in it. it's lovely. i put it all over my entire eyelid and in the corners and it gives a wonderful shimmery glow. you could wear this to an office job and not be to glittery. i know there is some appeal to the whole pen glide thing i'm not getting because so many products are coming that way, but i would prefer this be in a squeezy tube. the amount of product there appears to be in the pen doesn't look very substantial, so i'll see how long this actually lasts before deciding if it's worth the money. it does look lovely, though.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Illumination Loose Powder Shadow

i have these in limelight, sky and beam. beam is on the loose powder in orb, only in a frustrating container. i still have one of my on the loose in orb and put them side by side on my skin and there was no difference. the container is frustrating, and also makes the color misleading, so the green and the blue colors i have are way lighter than i expected. the on the loose powder in orb was my all time favorite eye shadow, and now i have it back. if i figure out how to get this out of the container, i will love it. i really like light shimmery color around my eyes, i have pale skin and blue eyes, but the blue and green shades go on with too much of a white-ish cast, so i look washed out. i would buy beam again, but not the others.
i just bought these on sale in fig and cherry. i liked them so much i went back and bought two more because i hate to run out of anything, and i like to have multiples of things i love. these give me a more makeup-y look than the tinted shea butter. on the lips it looks more like sheer lipstick. the cherry color is a light merlot on, and the fig is more of a sheer burgundy. they are easy to blend and give the cheeks a slight gloss. the color is so concentrated i realize now i may not have ever had to buy another one, because it will last so long i will be ready to move on when it runs out. my only complaint is the container...it's like a tiny pot of lipbalm. glass with a tin lid. i guess it's supposed to be portable, but it's glass, so it might break, and the opening is pretty small. if you had nails, you'd wreck it.
i love to rave about the l'occitane tinted shea butter. this one, in blackberry is the perfect just exercised flush. when you get the little tin for blackberry and open it, it is surprising how dark and flat it looks. something so unexciting couldn't possibly turn into something so natural looking and sheer and pretty, but it does. it goes on a translucent berry color, and lasts and lasts. it reminds me of the stila push-up in berry flash, but lasts longer and costs less.
Tinted Moisturizer -L'Occitane - Tinted Day Care SPF 15

i bought this on sale yesterday in milk. (probably means they are discontinuing it) i love how it whitens up my skin and brightens it at the same time. it has broad spectrum sun protection and mica in it to give you a glow. i have oily skin, and i didn't think this was all that oily. (less oily than my burt's bees t/m.) but here is where i am really impressed, when i washed my face this evening and felt my skin afterwards, it is softer than it has been in ages. and felt more supple. my fiance commented on it when i asked/forced him to feel my cheek. i actually don't remember my skin being this soft. ever. shea butter. it's amazing. (it has to be this tinted day care because that is the only thing i did different). so, while this is on sale for 5 dollars instead of 18, i am going back to get 2 more tubes. love it.
after reading the reviews of this, i wouldn't have spent the money to try this powder BUT after commenting to my boyfriend how much i liked the tinted moisturizer i had bought he came home with this in translucent for me as a gift. and i love it! someone wrote it would probably be good for girls who are pale with oily skin...and it is. it goes on a bit paler than it ends up looking, but i don't find it chalky at all.
i just bought this at our local co-op and i love it. i'm pale and tend to be a bit pink, so i need a tm that doesn't make me look ruddy. i bought this in light and it has no pink tone to it. i had originally bought the wet and wild tm in the lightest color after hearing great things about it, but it was too orangy. i love the smell and even though i do have oily skin, i don't feel like this adds any oily look. it does look moist, but that's kinda the point of tinted moisture. i feel like this evens out my skin enough without looking like foundation to give me a healthy natural skin look. i did notice though that it is best applied sparingly adding more where needed.
Treatments -Beyond The Zone - Last Call Hair Masque

i love this stuff. i don't even mind the blue balls...i am convinced they are some sort of oil that is released in warm water. and i like heavily scented things that smell like fruit and flowers. i use this to condition my hair every time i shampoo, every 3-4 days. i wrecked my hair dying it the last time and this, after 2 uses, got my hair back into shape.
Conditioner -Beyond The Zone - Acid Shock - Conditioning Booster
bedhead19 5/5/2005 3:19:00 PM
i won't give this a bad rating since it did come for free with my last call mask, but i couldn't tell a difference when i added it to my conditioner. i have wavy hair that tends to get a halo effect if i don't smooth my hair out, and this did nothing to tame that. i really couldn't tell any difference.
Styling Products -Beyond The Zone - Super Sexy Styling Sauce

i really like this product. i use just a little on my hair after blowdrying and it takes away the puffiness my wavy hair tends to get. a little goes a long way, since i found adding more doesn't make it look better, or different. it really doesn't do much if you add alot. i use this on my boyfriend after he shampoos to take away the fluff of his fine hair. he's afraid of making his hair look thin if he uses product, but this doesn't, just keeps the poof away.
i bought this on sale thinking it might be usable even though i have pale skin if i applied it sheerly enough. it looks like someone punched me in the face, no matter how little i use. it is streaky and has the color of a fresh bruise. the constistancy of this product is not good. i can't figure out why people rave about colortubes. oh, and girls with large pores beware. it settles into your pores and is completely noticeable.
i wanted to love this, but i don't. i'll be honest, i bought it solely because i read they used it on sarah jessica parker in the first season of sex in the city. i don't like the consistancy for lips or the fact that it really isn't all that buildable in color, so it just doesn't show up very much, even though i am very pale. nothing wrong with the product, just not for me.
this is the very first blush i ever bought. i used to be a no blush girl, now i am a blush addict. 'nuff said.
i am very pale with blue eyes and dark hair. even though this is very bright, it looks amazing. it looks so good my best friend went and bought it and now she's a blush addict too.
this would probably show up on any skin color.
i don't know why i don't like the packaging, but i don't. i find that's true with all of the lorac makeup. this picture is a really good representaion of the actual color of the blush.
Lip Treatments -L'Occitane - Tinted Shea Butter Balm in "red currant"
bedhead19 4/29/2005 1:53:00 PM
i love this color. if you apply it to your lips and cheeks and you have pale skin, you look like you used a popcicle. it's a very appealing, wearable clear red, even though i am pale skinned with blue eyes and dark hair. in the tin it looks like it might have some warm tones, but trust me, it is completely neutral. use a gloss over your lips and you are set to go. this makes my eyes really stand out. and another note about this, when i use this color (and other l'occitane colors) other girls comment on how good my skin looks.
i love this stuff. my favorite products are the combo lip cheek colors, so i have alot of them, but i use this the most. i have the tin that has wild rose and blackberry both in it. i use a ton of sunscreen and moisterizer before i put on my makeup and this stays on my face all day, even on top of my moisterizer addiction. i love the smell and i love that i can layer this without it getting streaky. i have slightly oily cheeks and the color lasts all day, of course that may be because i am very pale. i originally bought the red currant and liked it so much i went and bought this also. i like the little tin because i can carry it with me and drop it and it won't break, but i might change my mind about that if i had nails at all. when i travel i take one of these and a lip gloss. this lasts forever so the price doesn't seem too much.
