Loose Powders -Physicians Formula - Retro Glow Shimmer Puff - Victoriana

I adore this! The packaging is so cute, the puff is a nice light gray color with a little bow, and the sparkles are really small and look very shimmery on my skin. I got it free from Lucky mag. so am not sure of price, but I would definitely buy again. I've always wanted to try the Benefit Kitten Goes to Paris but this is super for now!

Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - Retro Glow Cameo Eyeshadow

I have the creamy-almost-champagne colored eyeshadow. It came in a free gift from Lucky magazine, so I'm not sure what the price is. I brush it on under my brow as a highlighter and all over my lids as a base for other colors to prevent creasing. It gives a very, very light highlight and a very light shimmer. It's really smooth, blends well, packaging is cute, I'd consider replacing it when I run out (unless I want something different for a change!).

Eye Shadow -Physicians Formula - Pearls of Perfection
rated 4 of 5

I bought this in Lavendar/Purple yesterday for $0.99 at Big Lots, it's pretty neat! At first there were three shades of beads but now there is only 1 shade, but it's a very pretty purple-pink color. I tried it both with a brush and with my finger (mind didn't come with an applicator). With a brush it barely picked up any color, and the little beads got stuck, but when I followed directions and used my finger I got a nice color. Not sheer, a little more shimmery than matte but not much. Blends really well. I put it over Physician's Formula champagne-white colored eyeshadow (that I got in a free gift from Lucky mag) to set it and have not seen creasing yet. Very pretty color, seems you can get it quite vibrant by putting on multiple layers. The only drawback is I think it would be easy to dump out all the pearls! Also, I didn't like the silver cap - the labeling isn't very pretty and that's the part that is on top when you put it on the shelf. Good for the price though! I'd definitely buy again, esp. at 99cents!

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Smackers - Strawberry Cheesecake
rated 5 of 5

Yum Yum Yum!!! My second fav (dr.pepper is first). Haven't purchased in a while because I can only find them in packs of three and I don't like the other 2 flavors (I think vanilla is one, can't recall the other). Tastes just like strawberry cheesecake, goes well with most foods/drinks I think (doesn't make my coffee taste bad like some of the other flavors!). Would definitely purchase if I could find it solo.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Orange Crush Lip Smacker
rated 3 of 5

Got this on sale (along with 7-up) as a change of pace from my usual Dr.Pepper. The orange crush flavor was really strong and made coffee (and other food&drink) taste very strange. I don't mind strawberry or cherry flavors (like the dr.pepper or the slightly berry flavor of cream pop lip lites), they go pretty well with most drinks, but the orange flavoring was just awful to me.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Pink Lemonade Lipsmacker

Okay, but I didn't like the flavor - got into everything I drank and wasn't as subtle as the Dr. Pepper (I don't even notice the Dr.Pepper flavor anymore in my drinks/foods, though bf does!). Made coffee taste especially horrid.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Roll on Shiner
rated 3 of 5

I had a berry flavor, which was okay, but the gloss was so sticky my hair often got caught in it! Also, the little rollerball thing fell out and it leaked all over the place. That happened when it wasn't even 1/4 gone. I tried putting it back in but it kept falling out. When it leaked all over my purse I tossed it. Wouldn't buy again, mostly for the above packaging issues. Flavor was okay, and it was pretty shiny.

Mascara -Stila - mascara
rated 5 of 5

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I love this mascara. Maybe it's because the only other brand I've ever tried is Maybelline Great Lash (didn't like at all), but it really works well for me. Doesn't clump, doesn't smudge, 2 coats makes my eyes really stand out, one coat is enough for office wear. Easy to remove with clinique eye make up remover (the blue stuff). I like the silver tube, price is okay, and I'd definitely buy again. Oh - forgot to add - I do wipe it off with a tissue before use, maybe that is why it doesn't clump for me. I still get a lot of pigment, even after tissueing (?) it!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Waterproof
rated 1 of 5

I didn't like this mascara at all. I still have a pretty-full tube of it in my drawer that I'm sure I'll never use. It smudged under my eyes after a few hours every time I wore it (even though it's not supposed to) and made my eyes water. I thought I'd use it up at least, even though it smudged, but each time I wore it my eyes watered like crazy. Might work on other people but not the mascara for me. I love the Stila mascara in black and have ordered a few more from Sephora yesterday (needed a waterproof one to replace this maybelline). Packaging is fine, price is okay but not worth it for me.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Dr. Pepper lipsmackers
rated 5 of 5
ara133 5/19/2004 4:05:00 PM

My FAVORITE beauty product of all time! I am never, ever, ever without one of these in my purse (or two or three). I tried some other flavors for variety (orange soda and 7-up -or is it sprite?) but this wins out on flavor and color, hands down. I don't notice that it colors my lips, but it must add a slight pink sheer tint. The consistency is the best of anything I've tried - not too waxy, not too gritty (the Bonne Bell glittery ones are too gritty for me and leave an odd waxy buildup!). If I'm on my way to work and realize I don't have one with me, I either have to turn the car around and go back or go home on an early lunch break and grab one! The 4 on packaging is because I have several that are very worn - you can't read them anymore, they're just silver tubes with pink ends! The little clear plastic sheet always comes off. One slight drawback is that my boyfriend is very sick of the flavor! Admittedly, it does tend to flavor drinks and food, but I must be used to it - I don't even notice. EDIT: Something horribly bad has happened. I have been using this lip gloss fofever - like at least 4 years now, if not longer. Constantly, switching out occaisionally to use a lipstick or other gloss, but this is the one that was always in my purse, pockets and in the little neoprene ring on my car keys. One day, I woke up, put it on as I usually did 1st thing in the morning, and I HATED IT. I have no idea what happened, but since I always have 4 or 5 lying around the house, I tried a different one, and hated it too! I tried yet another one, and hated it even more. A sad, sad moment. It suddenly tasted like weird-smelling wax. I have no idea what happened, but I can't wear it anymore - can't stand the taste. Is it possible to become sensitized to it? Now I wear Burt's Bees, which is nice but Dr. Pepper made my lips softer and added that nice bit of color. I'm hoping if I wait a few months I'll be able to use my fav. Dr. P. again...

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites

I have Cream Pop (I think - the name has almost worn off) and LOVE it! It's perfect for my coloring (fair skin with pink undertones/winter coloring), tastes & smells really good (doesn't make my food/drink taste awful!), never leaked... Slightly sticky but still love it. The color is a little frosty, so sometimes I worry it looks too young on me, but I'd still buy it again!

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Dior Addict EDP
rated 2 of 5
ara133 5/19/2004 11:47:00 AM

I used a tester from a Sephora order. I guess it's odd that I didn't like it, as I love vanilla scents, but I can't stand this smell. I put it on in the morning and spent 10 minutes at work trying to wash it off my wrists and neck (luckily nobody came into the ladies' room!). I found it to be very sweet and, as someone else posted - made me think of brothels, though I don't know what one smells like!
