Skincare - Body -Bliss Labs - Vanilla Bergamot Body Buff

I am so in love with this body scrub. It exfoliates effectively- never too harsh, but still does what it's supposed to do. It has a delicious, creamy, easily-spreadable texture. It leaves my skin baby-soft, but never greasy (this is the first body scrub I have ever used that has managed to do this!). And, the best part, is the amazing scent. Some people don't like it, but that's the way it is with a lot of scents- it's a personal thing. Well, I can't get enough of this scent. It's creamy and not-too-strong, part vanilla-y, part earth-y, part soft and powder-y. It's a kind of hard to describe, soft and sensual scent. And I love how the scent actually stays on my skin, even hours after my shower. My only complaint with this product is the packaging. I wish it came in tube (more sanitary, plus water won't get into it in the shower), but this really isn't that big of a deal because the product itself is so amazing. Will definately repurchase.
I really wanted to like this color. I love MAC eyeshadows in general, but this color just doesn't look that good on me. I'm a MAC NC30-35, and on me, this looks orange-y. In the pot, it looks like a pretty light-ish brown with golden shimmer, but it looks really different when applied. Maybe it would look better on someone with darker skin than me? (although I'm not fair or pale, I consider myself to have a medium skin tone). I tried it on my hand at the MAC counter and it looked good, so I bought it. On my hand it looked like a bronze-y brown with golden shimmer, a bit warmer than in the pot, but still gorgeous. But it still looks completely different on my eyelids. It's not a horrible color, it's actually quite pretty, but it just doesn't work for my skin tone :(
I absolutely love MAC Plushglasses. Big Baby is a natural, pretty peach color (although I don't really see the pink some people are talking about, I see more brown/tan tones to it). Anyways, when applied to my lips it looks gorgeous- it has a bit more pigment than some of my other Plushglasses. It has a shiny, smooth finish with a golden-pearl effect. Just like MAC's other Plushglasses, this tastes/smells so delicious, without being overwhelming or headache-inducing. To me, it tastes/smells like vanilla cupcakes, a little more food-y than MAC's usual lipglasses. I love Big Baby Plushglass, and plan on buying many more Plushglasses in the future.
I wanted to love this product so badly... unfortunately, it's just not for me. I have normal-to-combination skin that is somewhat sensitive, but not really. The first week of using this product was lovely. I was intrigued by the way the silky, lightweight, non-greasy oil transformed into a milky cleanser when I lathered it up with water. I was also in love with the amazing lemon-y lavender-ish, subtle scent. I also loved the way after I washed my face it felt so soft and smooth...and oh-so clean. But, after about a week or so my skin completely turned on me. I started breaking out into these tiny little pimples all over my face- which scared me because my skin had never reacted like that to a product before. I had to force myself to stop using it...although it was doing horrible things to my skin, I couldn't stop loving everything about it. Luckily, after I stopped using it my skin returned to its normal self. I'm sure this is a great cleanser, I mean, most other people seem to love it, but unfortunately it just didn't work for me. But, I am thinking of trying it out again (it has been almost a year since I tried it last) and seeing if I have better luck this time around.
Treatments -Redken - Blonde Glam Pure Pearl [DISCONTINUED]

I used this when I had dark blonde hair with lighter blonde highlights (although now I have returned to dark brown). I found that it did not dry out my hair, like some reviewers have mentioned. It did make my highlights appear slightly brighter, which was all I had expected from this product. It also left my hair soft and silky, which was a nice bonus. And finally, I absolutely adore the scent of this product, a subtle, beachy coconut scent (although I love anything that smells like coconut). I wouldn't repurchase, but only because I no longer have any use for this product, as I am no longer a blonde. But if I was, I would definately repurchase this product.
On me, this is such a pretty, flattering color. In the tube, I will admit it looks shockingly coral-pink highlighter-ish, but it works beautiully on my lips. It's MLBB, glossier, slightly plumper, and slightly pinker than usual. And the scent is so delicious, even better than MAC's usual vanilla scent- this one smells like vanilla coconut frosting, but not in a fake, plastic-y way. I absolutely love the Plushglass formula, and will be repurchasing this lip gloss again and again.
This is the best, most delicious cinnamon bun fragrance I have ever come across. To me, it smells exactly like the real thing- soft, steaming cinnamon buns fresh from the oven, drizzled with smooth cream cheese frosting. The wash itself is just as satisfying- rich, creamy, frosting-like. It produces this lovely, thick lather that somehow manages to leave you feeling clean and soft, yet still smelling subtly of cinnamon buns. And although I wouldn't use this as my regular shampoo, I have used it on my hair a few times, and it didn't leave it feeling stripped and dry, which was a pleasant surprise. This is a fantastic product, and I would definately repurchase it.
Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Sexy Little Things perfume
Poppylovee 7/24/2007 4:46:00 PM
I have the roll-on version of this fragrance, and I love it. It definately does have some fruity notes, but, on me, I get a note that smells like tropical flowers. It's a girly, pretty scent- I wouldn't describe it as sexy, though. The tropical flowers that I smell, although very subtle, do add a sensual touch to the fruitiness of this fragrance. I really do like this scent (and that's saying somethng because I am not usually a fan of fruity fragrances) but I'm not yet sure if I would buy it again.
A lovely, YLBB lip color. It's a natural looking shade of pink, and I believe it would be flattering on a wide range of skin tones. I have a medium complexion and, for me, this is the perfect pink lipstick. It works with any eye makeup you do, so it's a good color to have around if you're ever in doubt. You can never go wrong with this shade. I love the slight vanilla scent it has, too. And, as for the texture of the lipstick, it's deliciously smooth and creamy- absolutely perfect.
Lotions/ Creams -Bliss Labs - Plum Plum body butter
Poppylovee 7/24/2007 4:37:00 PM
I don't mind the scent of this body butter, it's just not one of my favorites. The smell is very fruity and fresh- I don't find it to be too strong, but I wouldn't wear perfume if I was wearing this body butter. I find the texture of the body butter to be rich, smooth, and creamy. It is very moisturizing and perfect for people with dry skin- but if your skin isn't dry you may find this to be slightly greasy. Overall, this is a nice product, and although I wouldn't repurcahse in the Plum Plum fragrance, I am definately going to try out the other scents.
This perfume is so unique and pretty. I agree that it smells somewhat similar to her other perfume, but this one is slightly different, with a slight peppery (?) note to it- I haven't ever smelled anything quite like this.
I was expecting something with more bronze or brown tones to it, but I got something that was much lighter, with more taupe and green (?) tones. It's not a bad color, either, the color is just a bit light for my liking. The liner itself applies nicely and lasts, the texture wasn't too hard so it was easy to apply (but not the softest pencil I have used). I like MAC Eye Kohl's in general, but I don't think I will repurchase one in Powersurge.
Eyeliner -Too Faced - Foiled Liners in Bronze Bombshell
Poppylovee 7/24/2007 4:24:00 PM
I love this eyeliner. Compared to my MAC Kohl pencil liners, this is buttery soft and glides on so easily. As for the color, I don't find it looks at all reddish when applied, but when I look at the pencil itself, I can see that it has some red tones to it. When applied, to me, it appears as just a chocolate brown with slight golden shimmer- very flattering and doesn't look at all harsh. I will definately repurchase this.
Lu-Be-Lu is a very nice color, on me. On my lips, it appears as a sheer, juicy raspberry pink. Although it applies sheerly, it does give your lips a hint of color. It has a yummy vanilla scent- the scent is light and subtle, it's not something that will make you sick. And I love the tube it comes in. The tip applicator isn't at all scratchy (I had this problem with Lancome Juicy Tubes), and makes applying the gloss without a mirror easy. This is my go-to gloss whe I want juicy, pink-popsicle stained lips. I would definately repurchase this when I run out.
I love MAC Lipgelee's in general, and this color is no exception. It's a gorgeous beige/brown with subtle golden shimmer. On my lips, the color applies sheerly, so it's definately a MLBB kind of gloss, because you do see the subtle golden shimmer and just a hint of color. I love the scent of these lipglosses- it's a light, pleasant vanilla. And, finally, I love the tube applicator that these come in. The tip isn't even slightly scratchy, like with some lipglosses that come in tubes (I always had this problem with Lancome Juicy Tubes). As for the lasting power, they last a pretty decent amount of time for a lipgloss, IMO. But they could last a mere 20 minutes and I wouldn't mind because I love applying this lipgloss. Although I want to try more shades, I can see myself buying Sapilicious again when I run out.
