I bought this on a whim before reading any reviews... I know, it should be the other way around! What a nice surprise this foundation turned out to be! I've struggled for so long to find the perfect coverage and finally did with this stuff. And it's so affordable! I don't know if it lasts 16 hrs but it lasts all day on me and doesn't budge. It goes on sliky smooth and leaves a beautiful dewy finish. Best of all it doesn't cake up or sink into the lines around my eyes. A huge bonus for mature skin! I was lucky to find a good color match for my pink undertones. This covers everything yet doesn't look heavy and overdone. Truly a bargin, too! I've paid much more for foundations that aren't half as good. My search is over. Well done Rimmel! Edit 5/31/10: I so bummed that it looks like this glorious foundation is being discontinued! I'm finding it on clearance everywhere, Arrrrgghh! I purchased about 10 tubes but am concerned they'll go bad before I have a chance to use them all. Hopefully, they're just changing the packaging and not the formulation and/or not discontinuing for it good. I could cry! :-( Edit: 7/10/10 YAHOO!!! Rimmel has reformulated this foundation to last 25 hours! Not that I need my makeup to last 25 hours. I couldn't understand how and why they could improve on such a great thing but they did! I LOVE THIS NEW FOUNDATION and am so happy they've brought it back. I don't know about lasting 25 hours but I smoothed some of this over the back of my hand, made dinner and washed my hands a few times, during, and this stuff didn't budge! I thinks it's going to take MU remover to get it off. It doesn't appear they've changed the color as 201 is still my perfect match. Fantastic foundation with ridiculous staying powder at an incredible price. I'm in heaven!

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - ColorIcon Palette in Lust [DISCONTINUED]

A coworker of mine was wearing this color palette last week and I was shocked when she told me it was WnW. I thought maybe it looked so good on her because she's very young with zero lines. Still, I was hopeful after reading the reviews and decided to give it a go. I figured for the price I wouldn't be out too much $ if it didn't work for me. I gotta say... What a JOY to find a product that's affordable AND looks so good! This stuff out-performs my favorite Chanel eyeshadow by a mile! I never would have thought I'd be using wet and wild! Ladies...this is NOT just your daughters' make up line anymore! SO blendable and the staying power is ridiculous! I used the darker matte purple shade in the crease (just a little) and then used the same shade wet as an eyeliner and both stayed all day! I'm so greatful for makeup alley! I don't know how I ever did without this fantasic site! Many thanks to everyone for all the reviews! :-)

Hair -John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Illuminating Shampoo & Conditioner

I'm always in the market for a great product that doesn't leave my hair limp and lifeless. Who isn't, right? This Liquid shine conditioner does NOT disappoint! I was anxious to try it the moment I got it home but didn't have time to wash my whole head. So instead, I just washed my thick (kinda) long side-swept bangs and used this conditioner then just blow dried my bangs. What a pleasant shock! The shine and softness was so dramatic that I ended up having to wash my whole head right then so I didn't look so mis-matched! I kid you not! This conditioner is the BEST I've ever used! I have thick coarse dark brown hair that's not as shiny as it used to be in my younger days. This brought back the intense shine and softness I had in my 20's! Maybe it won't work for everyone, but for me, it's HG! Definitely worth a try. Thank you John Frieda for making such a fantabulous conditioner!! I will absolutely buy this product again...in fact, I can't wait to check out the other Brilliant Brunette products. I'm sold!

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base

I can't sing the praises about this fabulous primer enough! WOW!, am I impressed! After reading the reviews I was kind of nervous about trying it...but soooo glad I did! I've tried countless primers and this is by far the best I've ever used. It's not slippery like a lot of others. Just a tiny bit and my skin feels and looks like velvet. Hides everything! And my foundation stays on until I take it off...typically 12 hours later. No touch ups needed. My foundation and blush blend seemlessly and have that flawless airbrushed look. I was loving the Maybelline age rewind primer, too, but have to say this beats it hands down. I've lost count on the compliments I've gotten on my skin since using this stuff. SO glad I found it! LOVE THIS PRIMER and will continue to re-purchase....forever!

Primer/ Corrector -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Primer Skin Transformer

This amazing primer out performs all the others I've tried...and I've tried them all! I can't believe it's so affordable. A little goes a long way and all I need is a little pea size for the whole face. It feels kind of slick at first like my foundation may slide right off, but it stays put beautifully until I take it off... before bed. I really can't get over how flawless and airbrushed my foundation looks over this primer. My lines are softened, my skin looks velvety soft. Foundation looks diffused and luminous...matte, but not dry. I just pray they don't discontinue this item. I LOVE IT and will absolutely re-purchase!

Shampoo -Sally Hershberger - Supreme Head Shampoo for Wavy Hair

Love this shampoo and conditioner! It leaves my hair so incredibly soft and silky. Absolutely no dryness or frizz! I noticed that my hair still looked freshly washed 3 days later. I found this on clearance and liked the idea of trying a pricey shampoo and conditioner for a couple of bucks. Had I known it would work so beautifully I would have gladly paid more! I went back and bought every bottle they had as I think it's being discontinued. Would highly recommend trying this if you find it. I do find that it works best if I use the shampoo and conditioner rather than one or the other. Really LOVE this stuff! And the smell...YUM!

Treatments (Eye) -Olay - Professional Pro-X Eye Restoration Complex

Oh Boy! This eye treatment is amazing! Everytime I went to drug store I'd pick up this product and wonder if it was worth the $$ or, if it was just one of those overpriced products that I'd try for a month and disappoint. I finally spluged the other day after reading I could get my money back if I wasn't 100% satisfied. After the very first application I saw a huge difference! My eyes seemed to pop. The puffiness went away and the skin around my eyes just tightend and lifted. Is this stuff for real?? Talk about looking refreshed! I've been using it morning and night now for 4 days and it looks like I've had an eye lift. Even my husband and daughter noticed the difference and I didn't say a word about trying something new. I splurged on botox a couple years ago and loved the effect but could not bring myself to pay for the upkeep. I've been searching for a topical product that would work in a similar way and have finally found one in this. I just use a tiny bit under and around my eye and (wow!) beautiful! It also does a great job of priming my eyes for concealer and shadow. I love this stuff and will gladly pay the price. I just hope it continues to work! Can't wait to purchase the rest of the Pro X line and will report back on those products too. I can say without a doubt that this eye treatment works like a dream!

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

I was surprised that this product didn't get a higher rating. I've been searching for years for the perfect foundation and I've found it in this one! I love that it goes on like silk and covers everything without looking cakey. It just disappears and leaves your face looking fresh and smooth all day! I use it with the HD loose powder and get a flawlwess finish.Never too powdery. Since I started wearing this I've gotten a lot of compliments on my skin. It doesn't settle into the lines either... I'm 47. I'll never try anything else! Just wish it was a little more affordable. It's pricey but so worth it to me. I use it daily and the foundation lasted almost 5 months. I still have tons of the loose powder and purchased them at the same time. Ask Sephora for a sample and see for yourself how wonderful this foundation is! And be sure to try it with the loose powder.

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Age Perfect Night Cream

WOW!! This product surprised me! I purchased it before reading any reviews. I've have the WORST dry patches on my face for years.. (can only see them close up,tho)...and this evened out and smoothed my complexion so beautifully. It came with a free generous trial size of the Pro-calcium night cream and after 1 application of the night cream the next morning my dryness was gone, my face was positively luminous and lifted. I was shocked! I've been on a quest for the perfect day and night cream FOREVER and have spent an insane amount of money on products that have not worked. This WORKS!! People actually noticed and commented on how great my skin looked after just 1 night and day of using the day (age perfect pro-calcium) and night cream. The day cream (spf 15) is fantastic, as well! I also use the age perfect hydrating make up and love it, too! Perfect coverage, no makeupy feel or look and it doesn't settle in my lines. Just gives me perfect looking flawless, radiant skin! It really does reduce the look of my lines dramatically! My skin looks awful without foundation. Lots of blotchiness, dryness, and little veins on my cheeks. This stuff covers really well but you can't really see the make up on your face. I know I'm probably over-doing it a little with the raves here, but I'm just so elated for finding a skin care line that works so well for me when I've tried everything else under the sun and never got close to the results I get with the age perfect Pro-calcium line. To me, it's worth every cent, and more! Such a DEAL!! I'm 45 but I swear this stuff has taken at least 10 years off in just over a week! Again, I noticed a huge improvement after just 1 day! Hope this product stays around FOREVER!! I'm RAVING!
