Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Active Light Makeup SPF 25 ] [DISCONTINUED]

This actually gives me about the same coverage as the original ColorStay foundation but it feels a lot lighter going on, and I like that. It is kind of expensive for a drugstore product ($13) but you can get it BOGOF occasionally. The smell is kind of annoying and kind of a mixture of a sunscreen like smell and a fishy smell. I like the packaging a lot better than the original ColorStay's packaging. The color names coordinate with the original ColorStay foundation, but the colors seem a little lighter to me. Edit: I changed the rating from a 4 to a 5 because I've been using it everyday and I love it.
Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - brightening eyeshadow quad - drama

These colors are actually really pigmented, with the exception of the white. I don't use the white at all because it's just sheer and chalky, it's also the one matte color. My only complaint is that the colors are a bit too shimmery. When I put them on they can look a bit garish, so I have yet to wear them outside of the house. I think they would make for a really nice dramatic night look, but I don't feel that I can pull off dramatic looks. But still a really nice buy for a smokey look for only a dollar.
Makeup Brushes -Coastal Scents - Italian Badger Deluxe Fan Brush

This is pretty cheap on the CS site for $3.49. The brush itself isn't the cutest, but I can live with that. It did have a bit of a smell when I received it, but it wasn't as bad as I've heard about. The bristles are kind of soft, but also kind of coarse at the same time. It gets softer after it is washed. It sheds a little bit when washed, and some of the hairs point in random directions and I feel as if it's really delicate. It is great for removing fallout, applying finishing powder, and a really sheer sweep of blush/bronzer.
Makeup Brushes -Coastal Scents - Pink Deluxe Oval Shadow Brush

This brush really is huge! It is perfect for highlighting under the brow and you could also do an all over color on your lid in one quick swipe. It smelled a little bit when I got it, but it wasn't too bad. It was more of a glue type smell than a wet dog smell that I've heard about. It is only $2.39 on the Coastal Scents site.
These have definitely been changed since the earlier reviews. The brushes they have now are not scratchy at all. This brush is only a dollar and it does a pretty good job at blending. My only complaint (if I would even call it that) is that it's a tiny bit too long, so it kind of flops around and takes a little longer to blend. And also after I washed it, it seems like it's almost wet all of the time now, so maybe the soap just didn't get completely washed out all of the way.
Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Defining/Angled Eye Brush

This is a really great brush for only a dollar! It is perfect for the crease because it is angled. I also use it for the tear duct and sometimes to put shadow under the lower lashline. It is smaller than their regular eyeshadow brush, but that is good because it is easier to get it into some areas that the other brush is too big for.
Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Angled Foundation Brush

This really isn't too much different from their $1 foundation brush, but it looks a lot nicer. It is all black. The difference from the $1 line one is that this one is a little bit bigger and slanted. It is also a bit less flexible and maybe thicker. It is a pretty nice brush, but I never really use it. If I do use it, it's usually for concealer.
This is tiny! Seriously like half of my pinky nail. I wouldn't recommend it for concealing large areas like the undereye area because it would just take forever, but it's good for small blemishes. I have also used this for cream eyeliner and it worked fairly well for that. Even though it's tiny, it's still a good buy for a dollar because there are multiple uses for it.
I would actually give this a 3.5. I never use it for foundation because it's kind of small for that, but it's not horrible- I tried it once. I use it for concealer to pat it in and then blend it. The look of it isn't the best, I prefer the studio line's foundation brush that has a black handle and black bristles, but I can't complain for only a dollar.
First of all, this brush looks really sleek and it's only $3! I use it to apply powder and also liquid foundation and sometimes blush. It is really soft and the top even feels like velvet. My only complaint is that is almost too soft because when you use it, the bristles all spread outwards. Fortunately, after you wash it, it goes back to normal, until you use it again.
This is not the prettiest brush out there, but it is actually really great, especially for only a dollar. It is fairly large but the perfect size for an eyeshadow brush. It doesn't shed when washed and it's firm enough to apply eyeshadow but not scratchy.
Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Candy Shop Lipgloss in Coconut Crazed
surburbanurgency 7/21/2009 12:16:00 AM
I would give this a 3.5 if I could. It is nice and clear with some glitter that goes nicely over lipstick or on its own. It would be great if you like coconut, but I really don't. I received it as a free gift from ELF.
Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Candy Shop Lip Gloss - Mocha Maniac
surburbanurgency 7/21/2009 12:15:00 AM
I got this as a gift from ELF for referring people when making an order. I don't even like coffee, but this smells pretty good. It has a sheer brownish color that looks really nice over nude lipsticks. There is very subtle glitter and it actually lasts longer than I expected, and longer than the other candy shop tins.
Lipstick -E.L.F. - Mineral Lipstick in Natural Nymph
surburbanurgency 7/21/2009 12:13:00 AM
This is from ELF's mineral line so it was $5. On the site it looked like the perfect nude color, and on my lips it is nude, but kind of a weird off-white/beige color. You have to really work with it and it doesn't go on very evenly. It is fairly drying and it is a matte finish, so I put a chapstick on underneath. I do not like the look of this lipstick on its own, but with a little gloss over, it is pretty nice. It doesn't last very long, though. Edit: I changed the rating from a 3 to a 4. It is a lot like Revlon's Nude Attitude, but less orange and more nude. I actually like it a lot more since it's a lot more moisturizing and forgiving on my lips.
This is my second favorite mascara. I really loved it when I used it...I can make my lashes look either natural or build to a dramatic look. It was my favorite until I used the YSL mascara, which is now my favorite and the reason why I will not repurchase this.
