Bronzers -BeneFit Cosmetics - HOOLA

Love love love this product. Gives you a nice bronze tone without the glitter or the orange. The brush it comes with is a joke and you should really use the fan brush that Benefit sells as it won't apply so much product or it might look like dirt.

Foundations -BeneFit Cosmetics - Play Sticks

Love this product. Gives you good coverage and you can also use it as a spot concealer. Doesn't make me break out at all and lasts a long time. I don't like the fact that it isn't fragrance free and if they tossed in some SPF that would be awesome, but for what it is it definately is great. Also the skin shade range could be more diverse more more skin shades, but its nothing a little Hoola can't fix.

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Erase paste

Works GREAT. The only problem is I'm between a 2 and a 3. The other problem I have with it is it does crease badly on me. Even if I put on a primer it still creases. Though I've only been able to find a select few concealers that don't crease on me. Strangely enough the Play Sticks from Benefit give you great under the eye coverage and hardly crease at all.

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal Lash

Irritated my eyes, smudged under my eyes. Besides that it works great and you can really build up volume. So if you have sensitive eyes, this probably isn't for you.

Powder -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hello Flawless!
rated 4 of 5
redmakeup 5/16/2009 8:25:00 AM

Love this product. The color range is small but seems to almost fit everyones skin tone. If you are using the brush it comes with you DON'T use the tip of the brush as it will just blow the powder around everywhere, but you use the side of the brush. My only gripe about this product is the price per gram is more expensive then Christian Dior and Chanel. Benefit needs to give more product then 7 Grams for 34 dollars. Thats like a bad joke. Btw I have acne too and it doesn't seem to make me breakout at all.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - Dr Feelgood
rated 2 of 5
redmakeup 5/16/2009 8:22:00 AM

So this is a Primer/Oil Blotting Balm. While it does a great job to blot oil it doesn't work over makeup as it tends to smear stuff and the sponge gets very dirty fast. If you don't wear makeup and just want to cut down the shine, its works very great.

Mascara -Lancome - Powerhouse Oscillation
rated 4 of 5
redmakeup 1/17/2009 8:11:00 AM

This product is definitely different. There is a special way to apply it though... do don't want to wiggle it back and forth on your lashes as you will get clumps. It definitely helps apply more mascara on your lashes without having to do a lot of coats. The formula is pretty nice too. Definitely make my lashes stand out a lot more and almost looked like I was wearing falsies. The one thing I hate about it is it tickles so bad. You can really feel it vibrate. Its definitely worth trying out. Yes it is a gimmick, but it does work when used properly. I've even used the brush it comes with to apply other mascara formulas and it really makes a difference in applying more product on your lashes.

Deodorants -Almay - Clear Gel Antiperspirant & Deodorant
rated 5 of 5
redmakeup 1/17/2009 7:49:00 AM

This is the ONLY anti-perspirant that doesn't make my skin itch and turn red. I've been using this for years now and I have yet to find anything as good that offers as good of a protection as this does that doesn't give me the irritation. I love this product. Highly recommended.

Styling Products -Regis - Whipped Wax
rated 2 of 5
redmakeup 11/8/2004 7:48:00 PM

I work at a regis and one of the stylists i work with use this product. I'm not dismissing it though, if it works for you we are more then happy to sell it to you, but personally i think it is crappy. It is runny leaves a very wet heavy feeling and very greasy texture. Almost feels like waxed up water. I like more of a pastier product. The product by Regis that I use on my clients and personally prefer is Design Putty. It gives that pieced out waxed look and is easier to control without weighing down hair.

Moisturizers -Reviva - Oily Skin Moisturizer Gel
rated 3 of 5
redmakeup 7/15/2004 11:45:00 AM

Its a very light day moisturizer. It does exactly what it says. Moisturizes oily skin, but doesn't make it oily in the process. Contains SPF#6 which is basically worthless for sun protection as it doesn't provide against a full spectrum of UV rays. The thing though, is it only moisturizes. Thats all it does. Doesn't have any extra ingredients to help your skin or antioxidents or anything at all. Just a light glycerin base. So although its good just for a light moisture it doesn't really provide any protection or prevention measures needed to make it a above average skin care product. Also with most of reviva products, expecially the Collagen and Elastin products they are worthless. Applying Collagen or Elastin to the surface of the skin might be a good moisturizer, but it just can't penetrate into the Dermis which is where it is needed. So its basically a waste of money and isn't very good at all. I also found it disturbing that Reviva doesn't make any skin care with Vitamin A which is one of the few things proven to rebuild collagen and help your skin. Most of there other products live off of claims that can't be backed up by any clinical studies or research. ---- Note this is for the Oily Skin Moisturizer Gel NOT the one containing Glycolic Acid.

Scrubs -Reviva - Peanut, Honey + Almond Scrub
rated 3 of 5
redmakeup 7/15/2004 11:36:00 AM

A friend bought this and I have tried it. It was grainy, as a scrub should be. I personally think cornmeal is a better physical exfoliant as my training from the dermal institute has taught me. It's good for the money and smells really good.

Scrubs -Reviva - Light Skin Peel
rated 4 of 5
redmakeup 7/15/2004 11:33:00 AM

I have used this product along with 4 of my friends and an ex-boyfriend and everyone loved it. I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about. My ex even wanted to use it everyday, which you totally shouldn't do, since its a weekly treatment. I have sensitive oily skin and it worked fine for me. To tell you the truth I really didn't see as much results as I anticipated, but everyone else who tried it said they saw a difference in there skin. I exfoliate my skin a lot so thats probably why I didn't see a big difference. It smells a little acidy. Over all I think it is an interesting product to try. It's supposedly Reviva's best seller.

Mascara -La Femme - Cake Mascara
rated 3 of 5
redmakeup 2/7/2003 5:14:00 AM

I love this product. For those of you who don't know what a cake mascara is, is its this cake like an eye shadow with a small brush and you get the brush a bit damp and then stroke it on the cake and then apply it as normal mascara. It comes in a little case with a mirror so its perfect. It applied like a dream. Nice and even with no clumps and make each lash stand out. Lasts long. The only gripe I have is that they do smear and run a bit if they get wet, but not everything can be perfect. I mostly noticed it because I also apply mascara to my lower lashes as well. These were popular more in the old days. Also one key thing about these is since it is a cake it will last forever. With Cream (wand) mascara's you have to replace them after 3 months, because of bacteria build up, but since this is a cake and it dries there is no way bacteria can live in it so it will last you forever until the whole product is done. Also it is a lot more sanitary and you can even let someone else use it and not worry about germs since you just clean the brush. Mine costs $6.00 and I rarely use mascara so this will last me a couple of years and I will never have to buy tubes and toss them out. Worth the money in every way. Ok ok ok... so you got me... when I first tried it out I was like wow I love this, but now I'm like, I'm going to go out and buy a waterproof mascara. It smudges soo easily. You practically have to powder your whole eye area and that will only help so much... so uggg.

Hair -Paul Mitchell - Extreme Thickening Glue
rated 5 of 5
redmakeup 2/1/2003 4:50:00 PM

I read the other reviews about how it smelled bad and I do have to admit that at first it smells really 'interesting', but I had over 10 people smell my hair for me after applying it and they said it smelled fine and after a while you get used to it. It is a very nice consistence. It's very thick and full of fibers which I like. It held good, and I would use it and recommend it for someone that wants that type of an effect for there hair that it does provide. It leaves a sticky feeling in your hair, but your hair is totally non sticky. What I mean is you put your hand to your head and it feels sticky, but you go to feel your hand afterwards and you feel nothing. Very easy to remove as well. I like it better then Ice Spiker. People that go for Liberty spikes and all those type of spiking would want to give this a try, as it holds like glue but won't snap your hair off as glue and its totally fine to sleep with. Also the price is much cheaper then Ice Spiker or Xtah Bondage. BTW this product doesn't leave you with a shiny hard finish. It has a firm, but mattish finish. Very interesting for someone who doesn't always want a hard very shiny finish. After using this product for 3 days I love it. It is perfect for holding curly hair straight.
