Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
leoisillon 11/10/2010 10:39:00 PM
The staying power of this product is great. It truly helps your shadows last all day long. I didn't care for the consistency of the product. It's quite oily. I already have oily lids. I does blend easily and I top it with a MAC paintpot, so it's not a big issue. You get a ton of product so you get what you pay for. I didn't like the tube packaging (oil sometimes separated from product) so I "depotted" mine and put in an empty Maybelline dream mousse blush pot. It will probably last me for an eternity. I wouldn't repurchase when this one runs out. I like my primers to be less oily, but it is not a bad product.

this concealer didn't work for me. it was very difficult to blend. the color selection was terrible (I bought natural light) so I used it as a corrector for my dark under eye circles. I think as the prodcut gets older it separates more and a nasty oily substance comes out. It's an over priced mess.

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
leoisillon 11/6/2010 2:09:00 AM
Unfortunately this product didn't work out for me. I had high hopes. I love the concept but the execution leaves much to be desired. The consistency is unlike any other primer I've seen. It's very interesting. It has a thick, whipped feeling to it and it also feels heavy on the skin. Heavy, yet not greasy. It does fill in large pores and it leave the skin with a silky smooth finish. The reason I can't give this a higher rating is because it breaks me out. I think it's the silica. My skin just doesn't like this stuff no matter how small of an amount I apply. I get really horrible cyst-like pimples. Not cute. I can't recommend based on my experience, but I hope it works out for others. I wish it had a squeeze tube instead of a pot and it's a bit over priced. Edit: Works great as an eye primer or under the eyes to help keep concealer from creasing.

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Go 360 Clean Deep Cream Cleanser
leoisillon 11/3/2010 1:29:00 PM
Unfortunately I broke out using this product. I got horrible cystic acne near my large pores on my cheeks. It was the strangest thing. I used it for a couple days and all was fine and then BOOM!... one day I had acne. As soon as I stopped using it, the pimples went away. I love that it comes with a cute little srublet. I actually don't mind the strong smell and I even love the way it lathers up. What I don't love is that it burns like heck if you get it on your eye area. It has menthol in it so it kind of tingles like Noxema. Not for me. Maybe the Sensitive Skin formula is better for me. I don't want to risk the pimples to find out though. ;o(

Unfortunately this product made me break out with horrible cystic acne. It also smells really gross like sunscreen. I do use this on my chest area for sun protection. Wouldn't recommend if you have oily or acne prone skin.

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers Trio - Shimmering Sands
leoisillon 10/24/2010 9:21:00 AM
Time to add my two cents about this product. I bought this, of course, upon the recommendation of several YouTube beauty gurus. I would have never thought to pick this up on my own. I enjoy the price (dirt cheap and you get a large quantity) and I like the packaging. To me the Covergirl shadows come in a more durable pallete than those from L'Oreal or Maybelline. That's just me though. I agree with everyone I've listened to so far about this product. It has some great neutral browns and a nice pinky-pearl highlight color. It's wonderful for creating a neutral everyday work look. My favorite color is the middle brown color. I use the tiniest amount of the pearly-pink as a highlight for under the brows and then I use the darker brown on the end as a crease color. The things I don't like about this product are 1.) the pinky-pearl color is too frosty and you will probably never ever run out because you don't need that much at all. 2.) the browns aren't too different from each other, so you don't get too dramatic of a color for the crease. I don't know if that makes sense but I like my crease color to be slightly darker. It's probably personal preference but I wouldn't purchase again for those reasons. I only really like that middle color (have hit pan) and I think they sell that one or one that is similar as a single shadow. I found a three shadow pallete from Wet-n-Wild that I enjoy more than this one (walking on egg shells) and I think that one is cheaper. I wouldn't re-purchase again, but I do recommend if you are new to makeup or if you just don't have these colors in your collection. P.S. I got a great idea from Michelle Phan while watching one of her videos. She says any light, pearlescent shadow is great for highlighting, no need to purchase a highlight powder. I'm thinking that pinky-pearl color is a great candidate for this purpose!

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 - Candlelight
leoisillon 10/24/2010 8:56:00 AM
Why in the world did I take so long to buy this? I had heard many great things, but for some reason everytime I saw it in the store I would always pass it up. I think in the packaging the color isn't impressive to me. I normally don't go for these types of nude colors for my glosses or even lipsticks. I remembered that I have a nude lipstick from ELF that I haven't been able to use because it makes me look washed out. So I thought maybe this lipgloss would help warm it up and it did! It's the perfect match for pairing with ELF's Runway Pink. I also want to try the gloss called Godess by ELF. This has SPF 15, it's moisturizing, has a wonderful color and was super cheap. Ladies, you NEED this gloss in your life.

Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20
leoisillon 10/23/2010 9:30:00 PM
I bought one in #60 (natural beige). The color was a great match for my skin tone but it did take some trial and error to find the right match. I purchased a shade darker at first and had to return it. I will start off by saying that I didn't do my research before purchasing. This product isn't for people who have oily skin. I have combination skin, with a very oily t-zone and I tend to be acne prone. When I used this product I got a very oily t-zone and I think it even made me break out. I did set it with a powder but I had to discontinue using becuase I got too many pimples. The foundation applies very evenly with a brush or any tool you enjoy using with foundation and it blends well. It also has a nice, buidable coverage. The foundation does leave your skin with a nice, glowing finish. I did't like the packaging so much becuase there was no pump. Great foundation, just not for me. ;o(

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
leoisillon 10/23/2010 9:19:00 PM
It took me a long time to review this because I didn't think I liked the product at first, but after sticking it out and using over the course of about 4 months or so I can honestly say this is an awesome product. The intensity of the black is really nice. It comes out nice and dark. The applicator is easy to manage and control so you can get any thickness of a line that you want. I wish the felt tip was a bit more stiff but other than that I totally recommend this! It's a great buy for those who are new to liquid liner.

Eyeliner -Revlon - Luxurious Color Eyeliner- Velvet Black
leoisillon 9/7/2010 9:51:00 PM
I was drawn to this eyeliner because firstly I'm a big sucker for packaging. It kind of reminds me of the Estee Lauder Artist Eye Pencils (which I heart). The gold detailing on the packaging definitely makes it look luxourious. The other reason I purcashed it is because I love when eyeliners come with that handy sponge-tip on the opposite end. The eyeliner itself comes out very creamy and it is easy to blend with the sponge tip. I tend to have issues with eyeliners that are a bit too creamy because I have oily eyelids and my eyeliner always ends up transferrirng or smearing. I usually will set this eyeliner with a black eyeshadow, but I still find that it transfers. The other issue I have with this eyeliner is that the color tends to turn kind of a dark blue/black throughout the day. Almost like a midnight blue. It's very odd. I don't like. I wouldn't purchase again, but it's not a terrible product. It's just not for me.

Mascara -Estee Lauder - Lash Primer Plus
leoisillon 9/6/2010 11:56:00 PM
This stuff is the BUSINESS! The formula is conditioning, it doesn't harden quickly, making it difficult to apply my mascaras, and it's not too thick or clumpy. Love it!!! The only thing that is a bummer about the product is the price. $20 a tube! Ay caramba!

Moisturizers -Clean & Clear - Finishes Pore Perfecting Moisturizer SPF 15 [DISCONTINUED]
leoisillon 8/22/2010 11:28:00 PM
I liked this moisturizer. The smell was a soft flowery scent that fades quickly. It truly leaves the skin feeling matte once it dries and soaks in the skin. The price is great and it has the SPF factor. I didn't break out at all with this product. I didn't feel greasy mid day either. I did slight touching up in my t-zone area (which is normal). I ended up mixing this with my Revlon Colorstay foundation to thin out the Revlon product. If you are strapped for cash, have oily skin and looking for a nice day time moisturizer, I recommend check this one out. I'm off to try something else with more SPF but I'd probably purchase this again.

Scrubs -Queen Helene - Oatmeal N' Honey Natural Facial Scrub
leoisillon 8/15/2010 11:19:00 AM
I switched to this scrub from the St. Ive's Apricot scrub. This scrub is less abrasive and does a great job at exfoliating the face and body. I really hate the scent of this stuff and so does my husband. I wouldn't purchase again, because I'm sensitive to scents.

Liquid -Cover Girl - Clean Makeup Oil Control
leoisillon 8/4/2010 7:34:00 PM
I wanted to try this becuase I have oily skin and liquid foundations don't always work for me. Anyway, this stuff really sucks. I paid about $5.00 for this and I wish I has spent $5.00 on somehting better. Firstly, the glass bottle it comes in makes it really hard to get the product out. I thought I had a defective one or something because it was super thick and the foundation didn't come out of the bottle unless I shook it like a mad woman. The color I picked Warm Beige or something was a nice match and it had a great finish, but I was so pissed off about the viscosity of this product that I just trashed it. I should have kept the receipt and returned it. I tried diluting it with water so that it was less thick, but no luck. This stuff is nasty. I think the product is meant to be thick. Oh well.. it was $5.00.

Concealers -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Concealer [DISCONTINUED]
leoisillon 8/1/2010 9:42:00 AM
I have mixed feelings about this concealer. I bought it per the recommendations of many of my favorite Youtube Gurus. I have one in beige 40, which is a pretty good match. It's slightly too dark, but you can't notice if you use a light hand. I think this covers my undereye circles really well! I have very dark undereye circles (herditary, doesn't matter how much sleep I get). It also works great as a eyeshadow primer and it covers red spots fairly well. My problem with the product is the consistency. I don't like the whipped feeling of it and I also hate products that come in a pot. I guess you can use a brush with it, but I don't know... it's kind of a hassel to apply. You have to be careful not to pick up too much product with your fingers. It will clump up in small balls and you'll have t blend those out. I'm going to try the Smooth Mousse version. I think I"m going to finish out my current pot of this as an eyeshadow primer.
