Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector
kyl77 10/20/2012 6:42:00 PM
This is a very moisturizing, high quality hand cream. The earthy scent might not appeal to everyone, so I recommend a sniff test before buying. I purchased the 1.0 ounce tube, which fits perfectly in my purse. This product does lose points for leaving a slightly oily residue. I can see myself buying this again but not a HG product.
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Hemp lip conditioner (stick)

This is a very good lip balm. I like that it comes in a stick, and it's very moisturizing. I wish it was even thicker, but it's definately a quality product. I'm still searching for my HG lip balm, but this will definately work in the mean time.
Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - One 'n Only - Argan Oil Moisture Repair Conditioner
kyl77 10/19/2012 10:19:00 PM
I bought this conditioner along with the shampoo at Sally's because proceeds were going towards Breast Cancer Awareness. My charity paid off. This is a terrific conditioner. I leave it on for about three minutes while I finish my shower and my hair feels like silk. I definately recommend this product.
Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - One 'n Only - Argan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo

This shampoo left my hair super moisturized. It's a little weird to use because it doesn't lather very much, but it cleans just as well as more traditional shampoo. It's also very affordable compared to other argan oil products out there.
I have chronically chapped lips and I'm always searching for that perfect lip balm. I bought this product on the basis of one beauty editor's rave review. Personally, I don't see what she's talking about. This is very ordinary and kind of thin and greasy. One way to get some use out of this product is to use it almost as a lip primer under a heavier lip balm. Sort of like putting moisturizer over damp skin. I'm currently topping this with Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips.

I just got this lip balm and I must say I'm impressed. It's really thick and lasts a long time. Since this is more of a barrier cream, I apply a thinner lip balm first and top it off with this to seal in the moisture.
Other than the interesting flavors, these are very average lip balms. If you have chronically chapped lips like me, you'll want to look for something more moisturizing.
Styling Products -TRESemme - Fresh Start Dry Shampoo for Oily/Straight to Normal Hair
kyl77 10/18/2012 6:41:00 PM
This product really disappointed. It didn't make my hair look worse, but it didn't make it look any better either. My hair was just as oily as before I sprayed. I won't be buying this again.
This is a very high quality brush at an affordable price. Soft and fluffy, this brush holds its own against more expensive brushes.
So few things in life offer instant gratification. This is one of those things. LOVE!
Misc Beauty Tools -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil Facial Blotting Tissues
kyl77 10/16/2012 9:56:00 PM
I tried these in the store and was disappointed. The paper is really flimsy and not very absorbent. Palladio makes far superior blotting papers in cuter packaging for less money. Don't waste your money on these.
Styling Products -Murray's - Murray's Superior Hair Dressing Pomade
kyl77 10/16/2012 9:42:00 PM
At $2.99 a tin, this pomade can't be beat. The retro packaging is cute and you can pick it up anywhere. I rub a pea size amount between my palms and scrunch this into my hair for a textured look. If you want a lighter effect here's a trick for thinning the product out. Simply scoop out the desired amount and run a hairdryer over the product for a few seconds to soften. Rub the pomade between your palms and apply.
Foundations -Bare Escentuals - bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation
kyl77 10/15/2012 7:09:00 PM
I think this foundation is really overrated. Basically it's a very sheer powder foundation. When I tried to build up coverage I looked dry and chalky. The application is pretty messy too. Overall, I think this is an okay choice for someone who wants a very sheer natural look. It also makes a decent finishing powder over a more traditional foundation.
Blush -Clinique - Soft pressed powder blusher in Pink blush
kyl77 10/14/2012 5:38:00 PM
I received this blush in a GWP. I had already tried this blush in Mocha Pink and was disappointed by how little color payoff there was, but I thought it might just be the shade. It wasn't. The Pink shade doesn't show up either. This blusher is just way to sheer. Try Clinique's Blushing Blush Powder Blush formula instead. You won't be disappointed.

This blush is such a pretty color, but it goes on way to sheer. Clinique's Blushing Blush Powder Blush is a much better formula and comes in just as great a range of colors. I recommend the Precious Posey for a natural flush.
