Blush -MAC - Satin Blush - Her Blooming Cheek (A Tartan Tale Holiday '10)
habakuktwo 8/13/2011 5:24:00 PM
If this weren't discontinued I would def buy this again. This is the perfect blush for dark skinned women NC50-NW47. It's bright in the pan but with a light hand it gives the perfect pink flush. It's also great for those with cool undertones. This was from the Tartan Tale collection.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush in Loverush

This is a great plum neutral blush on my skintone. It's a sheer tone shimmer but really a little goes a long way. I usually wear this in the summer when I'm darker.

Blush -Black Radiance - Toasted Almond- Baked Blush
habakuktwo 8/13/2011 5:16:00 PM
This is a great neutral brown/terracota reddish blush for women of color. The blush itself is soft and pigmented and it blends well. This almost makes up for soft honey which they discontinued.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Vegan palette
habakuktwo 8/13/2011 5:05:00 PM
I always have mixed feeling about the Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes. The vibrant glittery colors draw me in and the packaging seals the deal. However the shadows are often glittery and not shimmery and they seems to include the same shades in every palette. I found that the color combo in this palette was strange and not enough lid colors. The first row contains an aquamarine blue, a light lime green and a deep cornflower blue. The colors in the first row were not saturated and looked washed out on my dark NC55 skin. Their was also a lot of silver shimmer. Bottom row is a little better but because I have other Urban Decay palettes I have these colors. The bottom row has twice baked, smog, and half baked. These are interesting because these shades are pretty much my skin color so they show up somewhat with silver glitter. This palette is for someone who wants to try Urban Decay but if you already have some one or two Urban Decay palettes I'd skip this one.

Eye Shadow -Almay - Intense i-Color
habakuktwo 8/13/2011 4:56:00 PM
I guess there have been multiple editions for the blue eyes. The one im reviewing is number 22 with an orange, dark chocolate brown and a light sand color. First off im dark skinned NC55 and the brown eyes quad was too chalky and light so I brought this one. The orangey bronze shade is very light on me and needs to be packed on. The dark brown shade is great for crease work and the shimmery sandy beige looks good as a highlight. Since I usually only use the dark brown and sandy beige this trio is not that great of a value.

Eye Shadow -Almay - Intense i-Color powder shadow Trio for Browns
habakuktwo 8/13/2011 4:40:00 PM
I gave this three lippies for the bronze shade only. The lilac and beige are super wrong for my dark skin NC55. Brown is a nice lid or crease color depending on the look. The lilac barely shows and is super chalky and the beige is just wrong for a highlight.

This is a great purple for the crease. The shadow is smooth and blends well. It also shows up as it looks in the pan. NC55 for reference.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Memorabilia

This is a light greyed purple. It has a matte finish and I use it as a transition color when wearing purple in the crease.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Prussian (matte2)
habakuktwo 8/13/2011 3:57:00 PM
Prussian is a navy blue matte2. I applies smooth and blends easily. The same beautiful color in the pan is what you get on the lid. Because it's matte it makes a great crease color.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Deep Truth
habakuktwo 8/13/2011 3:54:00 PM
This is a beautiful shade of blue and it shows up nicely on my skintone. The finish is frosy the MAC artist use this as a crease color on me. The only downside is a dark and rich as it looks in the pan it's not that way on my eyelids. I still used carbon to darken up this blue when I use it on my crease.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Newly Minted
habakuktwo 8/13/2011 3:49:00 PM
Newly Minted is a mint blue green. It matte and on my skintone was very chalky and difficult to blend. I don't use it often as it takes a lot of work for it to show up on my skintone.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Sumptuous Olive (Veluxe pearl)
habakuktwo 8/13/2011 3:48:00 PM
Sumptous Olive was my first foray into the khaki green family. These types of brown greens are great because they are suble but not boring or too bright for work. It has a slight shimmer but is not overbearing. It's a great lid shade for me and shows up vibrant with little effort/manipulation. It's a great staple for everyday.

Swiss chocolate is a brown with definite red undertones that show through on my NC 50-55 skintone. I use this as a crease color. This is a great staple shade.
