Loose Powders -MAC - Select Sheer Loose Powder
claragonz 4/16/2010 7:40:00 PM
I got this in NC40 yesterday and tried it on this morning with just concealer. I love it! It doesn't look like I'm wearing any makeup. It's so light and natural! Within the day, I put it on to set my foundation. It made me look flawless! Love this loose powder. It's the exact color match for my skin. And you get a lot of product, so this will last me a while. =) I'm very happy with my purchase.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
claragonz 4/16/2010 7:09:00 PM
I bought this the other day, and tried it today. I like the fact that it's not heavy on the skin. It's very sheer with light coverage. There is no shimmer or glitter in this foundation. It leaves the face with a dewy finish. I do see why other people like this foundation. But on the other hand, after a few hours, you can hardly see it on your face and I ended up being oily. I did use just one pump. Maybe I'll try this again tomorrow and use a different application. Might work better. I'll give another update.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
claragonz 4/14/2010 10:29:00 PM
I really think this foundation competes with high end brands like MAC. This lasts all day and gives medium to full coverage (depending on what applicator you use.) I'm NC40 and the perfect shade for me is 330. I have three of these in different shades. I originally bought 300 which was way too light, then went down to 350 which was wearable but a bit dark, then finally 330 which is the perfect color match. =) I think the key is getting the right shade. Though its not as yellow as MAC, it still looks natural, never pinkish or chalky. The only thing I don't like is the packaging, but you can always go to ebay and buy pump bottles there. So I give this 5 lippies!

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
claragonz 4/13/2010 10:52:00 PM
I generally like all MAC products. This product in NC40 is the closest to my skin color. I like that this gives medium to full coverage, and lasts all day. It does look natural too, as long as you apply it thinly. I've already finished a bottle and I'm very tempted to buy another. It's just a bit pricey, so I find myself in the hunt for the best affordable foundation out there.

Mascara -Maybelline - Define A Lash
claragonz 4/9/2010 12:44:00 PM
My sister told me about this a while back, and so I finally bought one. I tried it today and I love it! Truly a great product! It really defines and separates each lash!! Plus you can build the coverage and thickness to the way you want. This is one of my favorites!!

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
claragonz 4/9/2010 11:55:00 AM
I was previously using Urban Decay Primer Potion before I got to try this. I like this much better! It's easier to blend around the eye area and the consistency is softer than Urban Decay. It makes my eyesshadow and eyeliner glide on smoothly. Cheaper and better than UDPP. Also, the packaging is in a tube, so the product is always clean.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Transforming Potion
claragonz 4/8/2010 8:12:00 PM
I bought this last year because I was convinced by the Sales Associate in Sephora that this was a good product. The eyeliner and eyeshadow brush it comes with isn't of good quality. The thin one is way too thin to be used for eyeliner. I ended up stashing this item away. Although on the other hand, you can use this for sealing eyeshasows in place and making glittery colors even more vibrant. If you want to line your lower lash line with color, you can use the thicker brush and it'll make eyeshadow last. But it does stings your eyes, It feels like there's alcohol in them. I wouldn't buy this again especially for the price.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
claragonz 4/8/2010 7:54:00 PM
I bought this last year and i love the staying power of my shadows, they last all day! (As long as I don't rub my eyes!) It's such a great product! But I hate the container it's in. You waste a lot of product inside the tube. I had to depot and transfer mine in a clinique eye cream pot, and after a few months the product that was inside the pot started to dry up. It started creasing, so I had to throw it away. I want to try too faced shadow insurance and see which one I like better.

Concealers -Make Up For Ever - Full Cover Concealer
claragonz 4/8/2010 7:21:00 PM
This is THE BEST concealer!! I won't ever need to find anything else. I was originally using MUFE lift in #2, and I do love it too, but I found it just a tad bit sheer for my dark under eye circles. So after reading the reviews for Full Cover, I decided to try it. This concealer completely erased my circles! Plus it's not cakey at all. It's just perfect! I love it! I'm NC40 and #10 is the perfect color! FYI: Comparison between lift & full cover, Lift is definitely more blendable; For coverage, Full cover works better. Also they have a wider range of colors. But I give both concealers 5 lippies! Make Up For Ever's concealers are the best!

Treatments (Eye) -Clinique - All About Eyes Rich
claragonz 4/5/2010 7:51:00 PM
I am currently using this. I think this product is good, not great. It is richer than the original "all about eyes," but I'm not sure if it delivers more moisturizing benefits. I don't really have problems with wrinkles yet, so I'm trying to prevent them. I have yet to discover the best eye cream.

Eye Shadow -Coastal Scents - 88 colors warm palette
claragonz 4/3/2010 7:33:00 PM
I like that this palette has a wide variety of neutral colors (from matte to shimmer), so the looks are endless. Of course quality wise, the eyeshadows in the palette aren't comparable to MAC or Urban Decay...but for the price, its not bad at all! I'll take it!

Eye Shadow -Coastal Scents - 28 Neutral Palette
claragonz 4/3/2010 3:01:00 PM
If you like neutral colors, especially browns, you have to get this palette!!! I find myself going back to the colors in this palette. They are very wearable for everyday, or for a night out. But of course, compared to products from Mac, BB, or UD, this of course has less pigmentation and isn't as smooth. This product is very affordable and will last you a long time. You won't be disappointed!

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen - On Hold
claragonz 4/3/2010 2:45:00 PM
I got this for free from Mac's recycling program. I got all 3 creamsheen colors at the same time (Modesty, Fanfare, and On Hold), plus satin Captive. I liked On Hold especially when I tried it at the Mac counter. It looked so warm on my complexion. But I use the other 3 colors more than I use this. The color is a warm pink with a bit of red and orange. Kinda hard to describe..I wouldn't consider it light or dark. I just wouldn't use it everyday. I like the color, but I don't love it.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint
claragonz 4/3/2010 2:28:00 PM
I think I'm on my 3rd bottle. One bottle actually lasts a long time. I use this once in a while, not everyday since I have a lot of other blushes. The best thing about this stain is that it looks natural. The color looks like its from within. I like that the color is a pinkish red which I think is great for most skin tones. I also like the fact that this lasts on my cheeks and lips. Even if it fades, the color still looks nice. The only downside is that it's not sweat proof. I used this once when I was working out, and it caused my cheeks to have streaks (from where sweat dripped across my face).

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
claragonz 4/3/2010 2:14:00 AM
With all the hype this product got, I decided to try it out... maybe about 4 years ago, but never bought another one after. I've read in a lot of magazines that a lot of people use this. Yes it is just like vaseline, maybe even worse! At least vaseline can moisturize my lips, this never did. Girls, just buy the good, old, reliable, chapstick!! I actually used this on my hands just so I can finish it.
