i wanted to like this just based on the name and the amber pumkin-y glow of it. you know what it smells like to me? tabu.
this fragrance reminds me of my great grandparents strawbery farm i used to visit when i was really young. as soon as i smelled it i pictured the farm, the barn, the boysenberries, the strawberries. i hadn't thought of that farm in ages, but i immediately could picture every aspect. it smells like bright bursting clear strawberry pink. my boyfriend said i should wear it when i was wearing something bright. i only have a sample, but i would buy this for myself just for the feeling it gave me. i'll try to swap for it or get some for myself... strangely enough, the other geisha oil i like, the blanche, reminded me of my grandfathers wood shop where he made violins.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Aroma M Geisha Blanche

when i was a little girl i would visit my grandfather at his shop where he made violins. this is the smell from those memories. i don't smell soap... what i smell is wood shavings and rosin that hung in the air. i would wear this just for that feeling alone, but i actually like this fragrance. i just have a sample, but i am definately going to try to swap or buy this for myself. strangely enough, the other aroma m geisha that i really like is the pink, and it reminds me of my great grandparents strawberry farm.
Blush -Black Radiance - sheer blush in wild cherry

i am a PPP, but i am attracted to the makeup for DDD. this is the case with this blush. i looked at it everytime i went to the drugstore, picked it up, thought about it, put it back. in the container, which is black plastic with gold, not my favorite combo, it looks so bright. the kind of bright that if the blush were really cheap it would look like war paint. today i broke down and bought it. i couldn't stand not having it. it was 4.19. as soon as i got home i had to try it, and granted my face was a bit shiny from walking around all day, it did, grab some in spots, but after i blended it out, it wasn't streaky. it is actually...pretty...in that cool aid sheer way i really like. i'm glad i bought it. i'll probably get alot of use out of it. i didn't give it a 5 because it did settle in my pores some, but then again, all powder blushes do.
i have been looking for lipgloss for my cheeks forever, and this is it. i have bright pink and brown hair, pale skin and blue eyes and this crayon makes my skin look so amazing and makes my eyes pop. this is the best little crayon. looks like a chubby lipliner, the texture is so amazingly smooth, the color is a bright pop of hot pink with very strong blue undertones. you can use this on your lips and cheeks, it has a slight sheen to it, but not alot, so a clear gloss looks better over it on your lips than on its own. nice gloss to it for the cheeks, though. the color goes on bright but as a very sheer wash, so it is foolproof. i can't imagine anyone not being able to work with this crayon. i can't believe i didn't know about this because i am a multiple use product junkie. i recieved this in a swap, and i don't know if it is discontinued because i have found places that still sell it. i'm definately buying more of this. anyone into bright sheer colors will love this.*update*i have found a way to mimic the virgin cool crayon...the new stila push up in fuchsIA flash, mixed with my ysl glossy touch is nearly identical...not as convenient as the crayon, but same look.
i actually like this mascara. i bought the blue, which doesn't really show up as blue since my lashes are black, but it does enhance my blue eyes. this isn't a mascara for anyone trying to get dramatic lashes, but for everyday, just to add a little ooph to your eyes, this works great. it doesn't smear, washes off easily, and it gives me a natural look. i don't actually like mascara, but i wear this everyday.
Conditioner -Neutrogena - triple moisture deep recovery hair mask

i've finally found a conditioner that is too conditioning for my hair...and i don't think that's a bad thing. since i dye my hair so often, daily conditioner does nothing for me and i have had to resort to using weekly masks every time i wash my hair to get it silky. after nearly two weeks of using this...i wash my hair every 2-3 days...my hair seems overconditioned. that's never happened before. i'm going to try the daily conditioner from this line next. i'd recommend this to anyone who dyes their hair to get it to that silky feeling again.
Highlighters -Yves Saint Laurent - glossy touch multi-purpose gloss
bedhead19 7/19/2005 6:56:00 PM
i received this in a swap, having never heard of it before, but thinking it might replace my discontinued max factor all over glow. it doesn't. this is really like lipgloss, but it's clear. the glossy touch it gives you is more along the lines of what a greasy face looks like. maybe if you had SUPER dry skin you could get away with this. i wouldn't buy this again. it seems too thick, and even though i hardly ever get a pimple, i bet this would give me one over time. i love gloss and glow and mica and all that, and don't care for this at all. UPDATE: i have actually found a few really good uses for this, and am adding a lippy. if mixed with blushes and pigments that are too harsh, this makes them actually go on much sheerer and lovely. also, mixed with gold essence otl, this looks exactly like my gold rush eye glosse they no longer make anymore, that i loved so much. i wouldn't repurchase this. and another thing, it creases like mad on your eyelids.
Highlighters -Unlisted Brand - rush shimmer shakers all over glittering powder
bedhead19 7/19/2005 6:52:00 PM
this came in a gift bag i got from a photo shoot where i worked as a stylist. i thought it looked pretty cheap and didn't try it for awhile, but when i did...i fell in love with it! i have it in 'adore' which is a shimmery lilac color, with silver shimmer in it. it comes completely full to the top in a container with a twist off lid, so a little always falls out. it's about twice the size of otl's. it goes on super sheer and you couldn't ask for a more gorgeous light shimmer that actually retains it's color. i just love it. i wish i hadn't been so offended by it at first so i could have asked the photographer where i could pick up more. if anyone knows where this is from or where i can get more i'd love to buy a few.
Lip Gloss -Bath and Body Works - Tutti Dolci - Sugar Wafer Lip Gloss
bedhead19 7/19/2005 6:42:00 PM
this is one of my all time favorite glosses. amazing glowing color and the flavor and scent are completely yummy. i don't mind paying 10 bucks for something that i enjoy so much. this is a sheer creamy colored gloss with micro fine gold shimmer. just beautiful. my favorite out of all the tutti dolci lipglosses.
this smells wonderful, packaging is terrific, price, 5 bucks! but the balm is awful. i feels like it has glitter in it but it doesn't. grainy. it's so cute i haven't thrown it away or given it away, but i never use it because of the texture. i wouldn't buy this again even for the cute factor.
Lip Gloss -Milani - Glossy Tubes in Cherry Pop Shine
bedhead19 7/19/2005 6:27:00 PM
while i love the bright pink milani glossy tube, i don't care at all for the cherry pop shine. it looks in the tube to be on the blue side, but on it is actually a warm red. and i thought the smell was funky, too. i'm not giving it a bad rating, because i know the gloss is good, but this color is all wrong for me. disappointing too, because it looked like it would give that popcicle makeup look.
this is another drugstore gloss that i love. the color is bright and vibrant, and goes on sheer. light smell, no taste. this is great for pale skin with blue undertones.
Lip Gloss -Wet 'n' Wild - Glassy Gloss in Tropic Glaze
bedhead19 7/19/2005 6:20:00 PM
i love this gloss. nice smell, kinda fruity, no flavor. perfect sheer bright pink gloss with the right amount of micro glitter. great for a fresh no makeup girly look. stays on well, and isn't gloppy feeling. medium weight. i've noticed most of my girlfriends have a tube of this. almost without fail, after i put this on, someone will ask me what it is, then look shocked when i tell them it's wet 'n' wild. a really good bargain and a really good basic lipgloss.
Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Expansion [DISCONTINUED]
bedhead19 7/19/2005 6:12:00 PM
i bought this on a whim because my girlfriend and i had a cocktail after work and went to walgreens. she said it was the best ever, so i took her word for it and bought it. i think it is terrible. after the great lash hooha that disappointed me i wouldn't have bought this had i not had a cosmopolitan. it is clumpy and smears. the brush always has too much on it, so i have to use a dry brush afterwards to clean up my lashes. since i had a cocktail, i don't know how much i paid for it, but whatever it was, it was too much i'm sure. even for girls that have really small lashes this would be a disaster because it would just clump up.
