Fragrances -Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Mora Bella
rated 5 of 5

I really like this perfume. There is something very mysterious about it. I don't think it smells cheap at all, as others have said. The dry down of Mora Bella is very deep, and rich smelling. This is very fruity (blackberry, cherry), with a soft musky dry down, and hints of the fruit at the end. This was formerly known as Fruit Savages. Their fragrances aren't annoying and fake smelling. They're very subtle, but you'll get a lot of compliments. I also highly recommend Comptoir's Vanilla Abricot fragrance - beautiful. By the way, Trish McEvoy #9 is a copy of this perfume, not the other way around.

Heaven in a bottle - I absolutely love this perfume. I actually received the candle as a gift with purchase, and it is amazing. I love vanilla fragrances. The apricot makes it just a little sweet. I can't get enough of it. This is definitely a very unique and beautiful fragrance. I also have Comptoir's Mora Bella, which is a fruity, musky fragrance, also very nice.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Luzern Laboratories Serum V12 Absolut
rated 5 of 5
anna5858 3/29/2008 1:16:00 PM

This serum is amazing. I recently started adding it to my daytime moisturizer, and my skin looks amazing! This is a 15% vitamin c serum. My skin is so even-toned, and the scars on my cheeks are fading. I add 3 drops of this and Luzern's Serum Sensitive Absolut to my morning moisturizer (either Yonka Creme 83 or Luzen Force de Vie). My skin is glowing and dewy. I know these serums really work, because my scars on my cheeks had been there forever, and nothing seemed to work!

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Kathleen Lewis

This is a review for Kathleen Lewis "Rose Dream Cream." I found out about this product in Lucky Magazine. It is AMAZING!!! It is by and large the most moisturizing body cream out there! The rose fragrance is awesome. This is the only body cream that gets rid of the "keratosis pilaris" (red bumps) on the sides of my upper arms. I am moisturized for days - I don't need to use this every day. It takes a long time to sink in - but I don't care. I absolutely love this. I will be trying more from her line soon! This cost $25. Give it a try!

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Pro Skincare Brush
rated 1 of 5
anna5858 3/15/2008 12:23:00 PM

This destroyed my skin!!! Awful. I used it for about 2 1/2 days, for 1 minute each time. By the 3rd day, my skin was a miserable wreck! My skin jumps from combination to dry to normal to sensitive. It's never the same. This made me break out horribly, and my skin was red and irritated. It's been a week and half since I last used it, and I'm still trying to recover. Unless your skin is made out of stone, I don't recommend this! Rotary brushes have been around forever. This one just happens to get A LOT of press. Overpriced and overhyped.

Shampoo -Giovanni - Smooth as Silk
rated 4 of 5
anna5858 2/10/2008 1:52:00 PM

I really like this shampoo; I have fine hair that's dry in the winter and oily in the summer. This is a good winter shampoo. It doesn't seem to weigh my hair down. It smells really good, and I like that it's all natural. I also really like Giovanni's body butters.

This is a great paddle brush. It holds up nicely; I've had mine for almost 3 years. Smooths my fine, fly-away hair.

Moisturizers -Sundari - Omega 3 & Amalaki Night Cream
rated 5 of 5
anna5858 2/5/2008 10:49:00 AM

This is the best night cream I have ever tried. It's a million times better than Sundari's Neem Night Cream. It's so soothing and calming. I use it a few times a week (if I use a night cream every night, my skin will break out). This calms down any irritation and redness I might have. Amalaki is the Indian version of Vitamin C, so you're getting a nice boost of antioxidants. If I happen to overdo it with exfoliation, I just put some of this on my skin at night, and I wake up with beautiful skin. The soothing action of this night cream is immediate. It's not too heavy, but still moisturizes. I love it.

Skincare - Face -Sundari - Neem Night Cream
rated 3 of 5
anna5858 2/5/2008 10:44:00 AM

I highly recommend Sundari's "Omega 3 & Amalaki Night Cream" rather than the Neem night cream. This night cream is only o.k. Nothing special. It's very, very light. I thought it would help clear my skin up because of the sulphur content, but it didn't. Not a bad product, but nothing amazing.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Luzen Labs - Force De Vie Creme
rated 5 of 5
anna5858 2/5/2008 10:41:00 AM

This is an AMAZING, AMAZING moisturizer. It's very rich, without making me break out! I was certain I'd wake up in the morning with a bunch of blemishes, but I had none!!! My skin is very dry now that it's winter, so I needed something rich and emollient. I love this company - it's organic, and everything is centered around oxygen therapy. The scent of this creme is amazing - it's so fresh. Everytime I put it on my face, I feel like I was just in a thermal hot spring. Since I've been using this, my skin has been soooo hydrated and dewy looking. I get compliments all the time. It takes a few minutes to sink in, but it's well worth it. You'll look like you just had a facial. I highly recommend.

Masks -Jan Marini - Skin Zyme Green Papaya Enzyme Mask
rated 5 of 5
anna5858 2/5/2008 10:28:00 AM

I've used this product twice so far, and I LOVE IT!!! I'm obsessed with masks, especially enzyme masks. Most of them make me break out because they have too much citrus in them. I have pretty sensitive skin, that can break out, and also is dry & oily (it's everything, unfortunately). This mask's main ingredient is in fact Papaya concentrate...which I have found to be the best enzyme without causing irritation. Immediately after I wash the mask off, it doesn't appear to work that well, but when I wake up in the morning, my skin is glowing and dewy. I will try and continue to use this mask every 3rd night, but that might be too often. I'll give an update later. You will get a lot of uses out of this jar; you just need a thin layer. It goes on like a thick cream. Leave on for 15-20 minutes. I also purchased the Zyme cleanser that goes along with this mask. Not sure if' it's totally necessary, we'll see. Overall, a WONDERFUL mask. UPDATE 3/15/08: I still use this mask about once a week (maybe every 2 weeks). Using every 3rd night was way too much. I don't think the cleanser is totally necessary, just the mask. The mask still makes my skin soft, calmed and vibrant. The jar will last a long time, you only need a little; spreads very easily. I don't break out from this mask, which is great! My skin was never as nice as with the first use, but that's typical of all masks.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Ped Egg
rated 5 of 5
anna5858 2/5/2008 10:20:00 AM

I was really surprised by the Ped Egg. I actually found it at my grocery store!!!??? I couldn't believe I was walking down the cookie aisle, and found the Ped Egg. Very peculiar.... So, when I first used it, I looked at my feet, and all I saw were the lines that the Ped Egg left behind. My feet just looked dry and "chalky." However, when I woke up the next morning, my feet were soooooo smooth. The only time they are this smooth is when I get a pedicure. My heels were nice and pink; my feet just look very healthy. The Ped Egg is very gentle, too. I highly recommend getting this. For $10, you can't go wrong. This will save you money on pedicures, and it's so simple and fast. The other neat thing is that the "egg" base of this product catches all the dead skin, so there's no clean up.

Cleansers -Collective Wellbeing - Cleansing Paste (Oatmeal/Raspberry)
rated 5 of 5
anna5858 1/3/2008 2:05:00 PM

My skin was feeling super dry and sensitive, so I bought this at Whole Foods to give it a try. I'm happy I did! My skin hasn't really been dry since I started using this morning and night. It's like a creamy/pasty cleanser with just a little bit of raspberry pulp. Not enough to classify it as a scrub. You can really smell the lemon, which I think helps to control the break outs. But, it's really moisturizing, without making me break out. It cost around $12-13, not bad at all.

Treatments -Yon-Ka - Alpha Complex
rated 5 of 5
anna5858 1/3/2008 1:58:00 PM

This is an amazing night gel that contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids. It's odorless, and you only need a little. This is one of the only products that helps to fade my acne scars. I primarily use it on my cheeks, and in the morning, my skin is much clearer. It doesn't really tingle upon application, unless you have an "active" blemish. I use it only about once a week. If I use too much, or too often, I break out in little tiny blemishes. The key is not to overuse if you have acne-prone skin.

Bath Treatments -Yon-Ka - Phyto-Bain Invigorating Bath

At first I didn't like the smell of this, but now I absolutely love it! The smell is fantastic. Very earthy and herbacious. It gives a nice foam, and you only need a little for a bath.
