Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Lip Boost intense moisture therapy
rated 3 of 5

I thought about this product this afternoon, my lips are getting dry and I just wanted something with no tint to put on around the house. I grabbed this which i have had for a while and put it on. It's okay. It does add moisture, but seems glossy to me like others have suggested. Its kind of got this minty smell, but its more medicine minty.. like artificial in my opinion and I dont really care for it much. The price was higher than id pay , so Ill try another product when this runs out because I dont see too much of a difference. No wonder I put this under the bathroom sink in one of my baskets of other "can live without" products.

Foundations -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Glow Sheers SPF 30
rated 1 of 5
adhesivelove 4/3/2009 5:19:00 PM

Will not be getting this product again. I am very fair and the lightest "tint" they had was still 2 shades too dark.. nonetheless, I tried it anyways and left my skin looking too glowy and very shiny.. not worth the cost of about $10 or so.. cant remember exactly, but know it wasnt too too cheap.. Will not recommend this to anyone and honestly cannot see who would like this, sorry.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Oil Free Moisture - SPF 15
rated 2 of 5
adhesivelove 4/3/2009 5:15:00 PM

Sorry, but didnt really like this moisturizer. Left my skin feeling oily and slick feeling. Im in Florida, so def. need an spf but this felt like any old sunscreen I could buy in the tanning aisle at the store. Def. didnt help with shine and even when using a primer, still left my made up face look shiny, no matter how much setting powder I put over my mineral foundation.. yuck yuck.. will only be using this if I wear absolutely no makeup and will be in the sun.. other than that, Ill put it in my travel bag in case I ever forget "real" sunscreen.

Eye Shadow -New York Color - Metro Quartet-Union Square (818A)
rated 2 of 5
adhesivelove 4/3/2009 5:11:00 PM

I have this in the seaport one.. the more purple/pink brown neutrals. i like the colors and when i first wore it liked it alot.. now that i have better quality shadows and makeup, i have not reached for these shadows in ages. They have little pigment and are hard to get out of the pan. The pans itself are magnetic but fall out of the compact. I might try to use this again in the near future as the actual colors are nice.. but i dont recommend this when there are other drugstore shadows around the same price that are better.

Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Synthetic Flat Top Multipurpose Brush
rated 3 of 5
adhesivelove 4/3/2009 3:10:00 PM

I'll give my only negative thing about this brush 1st.. The bristle part actually fell out of the handle.. intact might I add, so I shoved it back in and it works, but I still have to be very careful when washing. I am an aggressive cleaner though, lol, so the glue might have came "loose" because of using warm/hot water.. so be careful when cleaning.. Im not going to take a lippie off for that, because it was probably my own fault. With that said, let me tell you.. I love love love this brush. I use it for mineral makeup and blush.. contour colors.. you name it.. it is sooo soft.. just as soft as the everyday minerals flat top everyone raves about. I keep this in my makeup bag at all times and use my newer EM flat top for everyday use.. I would def. buy this again in the future when in need of a new brush for mineral makeup.. def. worth the money. UPDATE - after a year, I finally had to throw this out! The bristles wouldnt stay put and it eventually fell apart.. literally was coming off in clumps of bristles.. I have since bought the elf $3 flat facial brush from target and its of better quality and even with washing 2 or 3x a week for about a year now has not came apart and is still soft as ever.. dont shell out the $12 on this one when elf is better imo.

Makeup Brushes -Bare Escentuals - Heavenly Face Brush
rated 3 of 5
adhesivelove 4/2/2009 2:11:00 PM

I got this in a limited edition color in a set of other brushes and dif. bare minerals products. I liked it when I first got it and used it primarily for mineral veils/finishing powders.. things of that nature. I have washed it several times now and it seems to not want to keep its shape like the other brushes I have do. The more I wash it, the less soft it becomes. When I bought the Everyday Minerals flat top brush a few weeks back, after hearing the rave reviews, I was astonished at how soft the EM one was.. Way nicer than the heavenly face brush. I would not buy the heavenly face brush again, I use it for the finishing powder, but use the EM flat top as my primary brush. edited to add : had no idea this wasnt synthetic.. i guess it never occurred to me that it wouldnt be, being that the other brushes from other brands i buy are always synthetic. I still rarely use this, as I use everyday minerals or sonya kushak (from target) still, i only use this on occassion and will probably buy an eco tools brush to replace this when i can.

Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Extra Rich Cream
rated 3 of 5
adhesivelove 4/2/2009 2:03:00 PM

I have this in the lotion.. I actually keep mine in the fridge because it seems too runny if left at room temp.. but maybe I just got a bad bottle. The smell is okay, smells like every other cream or lotion that hass cocoa butter in it, so I cant understand why people think the smell is soo great, its nothing new or anything.. lol Its okay for an everyday lotion, though I wont be getting it again. Seems to leave my skin sticky and feels greasy going on and doesnt seem to get absorbed into my skin right away like other lotions. Leaves a film on my skin that i dont really like. Like I said, this is alright for the price, but nothing to freak out over.

Concealers -Everyday Minerals - Pearl Mint
rated 3 of 5
adhesivelove 4/1/2009 5:26:00 PM

I actually liked this fairly well. I do understand that it is shiny but didnt the word "pearl" kind of mean that? lol I like it when going out at night to dinner because of the glow effect it gives your face and because its shimmery, any bumps are hidden in the glow. It takes a while to get used ti using it because of buffing it in, than maybe adding a little more and then rebuffing, so this isnt something i use everyday. I probably will try the regular mint before getting this one again, but because I only use it maybe 1x weeky, im sure this will last me a very long time.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Bouquet
rated 1 of 5
adhesivelove 4/1/2009 5:21:00 PM

I hated this and was soooo disappointed when I tried it. I applied a little and it barely showed up on my very light skin, so I applied a little more and then I looked dirty! Like I had plopped some dirt on my face and rubbed it in. I hated it and have used it 2x now and did not like the results. I am very very saddened.. lol. I have salon fun and corner office and like both of those and was looking for something more of a subtle color with hints of deep mauves or rose.. and this looked on the swatch like everything I wanted, but sadly, it was awful. I might try it as a contour someday or even as a shadow or gloss, but my hopes are not high. Wish I would have chosen another color.

Concealers -Everyday Minerals - 'Bisque'
rated 2 of 5
adhesivelove 4/1/2009 5:16:00 PM

I can see using this as a blush or shadow. I have used this twice now and its just okay. I am very fair and this is soo pink on me that it does the exact opposite of what i think a concealor should do. i used this on my undereye area and its alright, but still prefer the aussie over this. Ill try it as a blush or shadow next time, but couldnt see myself buying it again.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Salon Fun
rated 4 of 5
adhesivelove 4/1/2009 5:12:00 PM

I actually thought this was going to be a more raspberry shade than it really was. I like it though and use it especually because its spring and it looks well with other spring like colors. You can use a little for a slight look, or pack it on for a more intense cheek. Its nice and lasts a while.. the small sample size will probably last me months since it only takes a tad to do the tick.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - Sandy Fair
rated 4 of 5
adhesivelove 4/1/2009 5:09:00 PM

I am actually sandy fair! When other people say how fair skinned they are, I just roll my eyes.. jk jk.. i am very light and find that the sandy, fair, and golden fair all work for me. I use the golden fair most often because there is a very slight hint of "gold" to it making my otherwise white skin glow without looking fake or not matching my neck. I have freckles and a natural flush to my cheeks, so when using something as pale as say my forehead, it completely matches, but takes away my freckles and "natural" healthy glow, so I find that If I want a flawless look, I use sandy and then sunkissed fair in original glo on top to illuminate my skin.. if I want everyday coverage than I go with golden fair.. haha if that makes any sense.. the golden fair covers up imperfections without washing me out and allows my freckles to shine through whereas the sandy makes me one complete color.

Loose Powders -Everyday Minerals - Start to Finish Fair
rated 3 of 5
adhesivelove 4/1/2009 5:03:00 PM

I like this product but could only give it 3 lippies because it gives my skin a tight feeling and leaves me looking a little too powdery. I must say that using this along with a regular primer (i use rimmel) works pretty well. It hasnt been too humid down here in florida yet, so only time will tell if this will help with shine control and oily-ness during the summer months. It is nice but even blending this in well still leaves my pale skin looking powdery and I always end up adding a bit more blush on top.

Concealers -Everyday Minerals - Intensive Fair concealer [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
adhesivelove 4/1/2009 5:00:00 PM

I wear the pearl mint when I really want to cover up my few acne spots. I also have fair skin that has a pink undertone, so when I use a green concealer and then put my foundation on top, some of the redness still shines through, so when I want a perfect look, I will use this on top of my foundation (golden fair, fair, or sandy..depending on the "tan" i have.lol) to even out any redness or blotches I might still have. Its really nice and i dont even need to blend it in too much because it matches my tone very well. It does end up looking cakey after having it on a few hours, i have oily skin though and it does get very humid here so its nothing that i wouldnt alrady expect. Overall, does a good job.

Lips -Everyday Minerals - bamboo
rated 3 of 5
adhesivelove 4/1/2009 4:47:00 PM

I actually liked this product, but gave it 3 lippies because it is more a lip balm than a gloss or tint. I also feel like after applying it thru-out the day (maybe 3 times) it leaves a slight grainy feel to my lips. Barely any scent though, which is a plus if you are wearing this out and will be eating soon. I dont want to taste gloss or lipstick when eating or drinking. Its soft and shimmery, but I did think it would be slightly darker, but the color is actually okay. I wear this when I have a darker smokey eye look, and it looks nice without washing my fair skin out too much. The one thing that brought this down from a 4 to a 3 was that the applicator was broken. It will twist out but not back in, which I hate. I might try other colors in the future when this one runs out though.
