Holy MOLY is this stuff pigmented! A little goes a long way ladies! But anyways, I got this in a swap, and so far I'm loving it! I have very fair skin, and this gives my skin a healthy pink flush with a touch of warmth, so I don't look like a porcelain doll. I'll most likely repurchase ^^
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Pure White
TeHNyboR 4/1/2011 1:12:00 AM
This is a pretty good white eyeliner! I only use a thin layer of this stuff on my inner rims and it doesn't look stark and obvious. It looks natural, and my eyes look much bigger and brighter afterwards. My only beef is that every time I sharpen this, it smushes against the cap, so I have to keep resharpening, thus wasting product. I'll probably buy this again though, since it gives such great results.
This is the best sharpener I've ever used, and the only one that hasn't chewed my eyeliners to holy hell! If mine every broke I'd definitely repurchase!
You know, it's just my luck that I would discover a mascara this great AFTER Max Factor had been discontinued in the U.S. Go me! But anyways, I received this in a swap and wow! I don't think I've EVER used a mascara that separated this well in my life! Almost each individual lash of mine was separated and given a beautiful and clean look. Very natural, but it volumized quite well, so it was natural with a whole lotta kick! The only gripe I really have is that it tends to flake a bit on me, but nothing I can't easily clean up. If I can ever get my hands on this stuff again, I'm definitely taking advantage of it!
I got this in a swap and I must say I LOVE it!! It doesn't leave my lips looking stark white, but it gives them a kind of dewy sheen that looks very fresh and pretty. Great for those extremely low matinence/lazy days we all have once in a while. Love the minty tingle too! Definitely repurchasing this!
This was my staple lip product in high school, and I randomly picked up another one of these babies the other day. I think they might have changed the formula a bit, because I don't remember it being so pale, but I still love it! It smells and tastes great, feels nice on my lips, and gives a great finish. A definite repurchase!
Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Vita Gloss O2 A Splash of Color- Sheer Kiwi
TeHNyboR 4/1/2011 1:00:00 AM
Ehhhh...not the best lip gloss out there. I do love the Lip Lites, but the VitaGloss just feels cheap. It feels very watery and doesn't last at all. Tastes great like all Bonne Bell products, but doesn't last. Overall, wouldn't repurchase. I like the Lip Lites and Liquid Lip Smackers much more.
Like another reviewer on here, I'm using the Biscuit Box duo, and I love it! It has a good amount of pigmentation (for a drugstore brand anyways) and it gives a great natural finish. And it has a very fine amount of glitter in it, so it won't leave you looking like a disco ball. Overall, I'd repurchase this duo.
Deodorants -Tom's of Maine - Natural Long-Lasting Deodorant Lemongrass
TeHNyboR 3/31/2011 11:47:00 PM
This stuff...really kinda sucks. It smells delicious, but when I put it on, it felt like I was rubbing slime under my pits...not a nice feeling. When it dried though, it really prevented my annual mid-afternoon pit stains, which I like, but the scent fades and I noticed that. I don't have really bad b.o, usually I'm the only person who notices it, but I could definitely notice when this wore off. The scent mixed in with my b.o (which as I said before, isn't bad) and made it smell ten times worse! Overall, it's great at preventing sweating, but not really good at hiding b.o, so if b.o's a problem for you, I wouldn't recommend this.
Styling Products -Redken - Quick Dry- Instant finishing spray
TeHNyboR 3/31/2011 11:41:00 PM
Love this stuff! As a former dancer, I still get into the habit of slicking my hair back with tons of gel and hairspray (I call it "the helmet") so needless to say, I can't wear a ponytail without hairspray. Enter this wonderful stuff! It doesn't give me a "helmet" like most hairsprays and gels do, and it doesn't flake, which is a major gripe I have with hairsprays. I only knocked a lippie off because it smells when you first spray it...you know, that typical hairspray smell. I hate that! But it soon fades and I'm left with a clean, smooth ponytail, which makes it all worth it. I'm definitely repurchasing!
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - Black Amethyst body mist
TeHNyboR 3/31/2011 11:16:00 PM
I'm surprised I like this stuff as much as I do! This body spray is an oddity, considering that anything musky smelling will send me into a sneezing/coughing fit, as well as give me a headache. This is a very very light musk that doesn't smell old ladyish like some musks do. I get compliments whenever I wear it! However, I'm not sure if I'd buy it again. I like it okay, but I don't love it like I do other BBW scents.
I really like these polishes! They come in beautiful rich colors, they dry super fast (even without my Seche Vit top coat!) and they last for days! I only knocked a lippy off because they tend to stain my nails a bit after taking them off, so that kinda sucks. But I would still repurchase!
Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - Sun-In - Highlighting Spray
TeHNyboR 3/30/2011 9:13:00 PM
Absolute crap! Ruined my hair and turned it orange. Cost a bundle to fix. Won't be repurchasing, and I don't recommend this to anyone!
This scent just screams summer! It's very light, fresh, and fruity smelling, but not overpowering at all. I really like it, and I'll probably repurchase.
I got this in a swap, and was intrigued when I heard this was an exact dupe of MAC's Blue Brown pigment. I own both, and let me say this: it's true! They look exactly the same, however, I can tell that the L'Oreal pigment isn't as finely ground as MAC's, but it still provides that beautiful iridescent finish that Blue Brown does. The only gripe I have about this product is that, because it's not as finely ground, it produces a lot of fall out. Of course it can easily be swept away, but it's still a bit annoying. Nonetheless, if I happen to run out of both Blue Brown and Intrepid, I will definitely repurchase this!
