Subtle and sophisticated is how I would describe this fragrance. Although the price is dirt cheap compared to high-end perfumes, I feel very "expensive" when I wear this! It really doesn't feel like I'm wearing an "Avon" fragrance. Also I've gotten a number of compliments on it. Would definitely buy this again, it's really timeless. EDIT: I'm not sure what's changed, but I'm not as enamoured of this fragrance as I previously was! I find that after a while it makes me feel a bit ill...probably won't repurchase now. :(
Cleansers -Estee Lauder - Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser

I've been using this cleanser for a while now, but I don't think I'll be buying it again. Firstly, the positives: you only need a tiny amount to get a really good lather, and for a foaming cleanser this isn't too drying. Now for the negatives: firstly, the packaging. Once you're about halfway through the tube, it becomes really difficult to squeeze out the amount that you want, so a lot of it ends up getting wasted. Also, the lid seems to break quite easily. For that reason alone, I won't be buying this again. Secondly, like some other reviewers, I get the feeling that this cleanser leaves something behind on my face...also I find it makes my skin feel a bit tight if I use it during winter. The smell is a bit sickening too. Overall, I don't think this cleanser is worth the $$, I might as well just use Cetaphil (I don't love Cetaphil either, but I think it's better value for money than this stuff!)
Cleansers -Christian Dior - Refreshing cleansing water for face and eyes

This is great if you're like me and just want something to remove your makeup before you go out and play sport, but you don't want to do the whole cleanse and moisturise routine! It doesn't dry out my combination skin so I don't need to moisturise after using it, so it's also great after a big night out when you want to just take your makeup off and go to bed!! I don't use it to remove my eye makeup, however, because I prefer to use creams for that. It is expensive, but you get a pretty big bottle for your $ and it lasts for quite a while. It's so much gentler and more effective than a lot of the cheaper makeup removers, so I think it's worth it. My only gripe is that sometimes the pump on the bottle can get blocked and/or break completely! So one lippie off for that.
Eye Shadow -Clinique - Touch Tint for Eyes - Sable Shimmer

One of the better cream eyeshadows on the market, this one doesn't crease like most others do and is really easy to apply. The colour is nice and shimmery but I'm still undecided as to whether it's really "me!" A good quality product nonetheless.
I love love love this blush! The little pot is so cute, and I really love the texture, it's like a sponge and you just touch it with your fingertip and it gives heaps of colour! The amount in the pot doesn't look like much, but trust me it will last for ages! This shade is beautiful too, it looks really nice on my pale skin, gives a nice berry-pink effect that's really nice for winter especially (but I use it in summer too). It's long lasting, doesn't break me out, would definitely repurchase!
I actually didn't find this to be quite as brown as it looked in the tube, more a neutral dusky pink colour. I have very pale skin with dark brown eyes and hair and I like how this shade looks on me, it's a nice natural colour for daytime. The formula of the UCL lipsticks is really nice too.
I have this eye pencil in softsmudge black, I got it as a GWP and I really only use it if I'm going out at night and want to make my eyes look a bit more dramatic. Otherwise I normally stick to brown shades. It's a little bit hard for my liking, needs to be warmed up a bit first otherwise it tugs on my skin. Besides that, it does have excellent staying power for an eye pencil, and so I've given it 4/5. I wouldn't spend the money to buy the full-size pencil though, and my sample size one is lasting forever!
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Born Lippy Lip Balm
Nina_82 6/3/2007 7:51:00 AM
Some really nice flavours in this range, which is the main reason I bought them! They're not too sticky and just give a nice subtle sheen to my lips, but I've since moved on to cheaper lip balms which do the same job at less than half the price! Also not really a fan of dipping my fingers into the pot, starts to feel a bit unsanitary after a while...oh well, a fairly good quality product nonetheless.
Lotions/ Creams -Cake Beauty - Cake Walk Foot Cream

Yummy scent, but for the price I expected more. There are cheaper foot creams out there which do a better job of moisturising dry feet, IMO.
This is a really indulgent shower cream, I'm not sure if I'd buy it again because of the price...but wow the scent is just gorgeous! Smells like maple syrup, which I love. If you have some money to burn, or are looking for a gift for someone who loves indulgent bath products, I'd recommend this!
This is probably my favourite of the 6 Avojuices I have tried so far (but they're all really yummy!) It's not quite as strong as some of the others, but very sweet. The thing I really like about the Avojuices is that they are non-greasy and sink in fast, but the scent really lingers for hours and hours.
I bought this last winter when I had one of the worst cases of dry, flaky skin on my face (from walking to school in the wind everyday) and nothing else seemed to help. Well, after just one night of using Hydra Complete for dry skin the flakiness was gone completely and my skin felt so nice and soft again. I could feel the difference as soon as I applied it, unlike other moisturisers I had been using that were supposedly for dry skin. It's much too thick for warmer weather, but if I ever get seriously dry skin again I will know which cream to buy!
I've been using this product for years now, but I can't always afford it because it's so expensive (I'm a penniless student). I have combination skin that can be blemish prone and Idealist is really great for evening out my skin tone and getting rid of any blotchiness or dryness. When I first tried it I had a lot of pimples just on one side of my face and I swear this stuff cleared my skin completely! I thought it might make me break out, but it does the exact opposite, while still leaving my skin really smooth and silky. I hope EL never discontinues Idealist!!
Bath Treatments -The Body Shop - Spa Wisdom - Dreamboat Milk Bath

Doesn't smell so great in the bottle, but this is really really beautiful in the bath!! I feel like I'm on a tropical holiday when I use this...especially nice in a cool bath on a hot summer's day, it's so refreshing and relaxing! A nice bit of indulgence!
Lips -Avon - Naturals Lip Balm - Strawberries & Cream
Nina_82 6/1/2007 11:20:00 PM
This is amazing value for money if you get it on sale (even the regular price is very good!) Really nice scent, it's not sickly sweet or cheap-smelling. Goes on smoothly and does a great job of moisturising dry, flaky lips. I'll be trying the other flavours in this range!
