For my very first Cargo purchase, I decided to go with this "safe" looking duo, pairing a pinky nude with a bronzier pink. Both colors are very flattering, but subtle. They'll work for days I don't want to overdo my makeup, or with a smoky eye. It does have a slippery texture, rather than the sticky/thick type that you tend to find in squeeze tubes. I prefer to apply it with a lip brush, but just dab on a little for a lighter look.
Easy, easy, easy. I run my fingers over the gel, then rub (in a circular motion) onto the apples of my cheek. I have to resist the urge to apply more than a teeny bit, as it can make me look feverish. The color does run a little cool, so it may not suit everyone. I'm curious to try out Tickled Peach.
I love the shade-- a subtle creamy white, which I like with Mademoiselle for a French manicure. It is a bit streaky, but that's not very noticeable on your nail tips. I do have difficulty applying this cleanly over my entire nail.

I love this red-black polish. It's quite dark, and so looks best on short to moderately long nails. It was quite flattering to the pink undertones of my skin, but the shade is really warm and should work well with darker complexions. Ah, if only OPI were to bring this one back.
Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes Pop - Frozen Punch

Meh. The gloss is a beautiful, lilac-tinted medium pink in the tube. On the lips, it's less interesting. If I apply a moderate amount, it only gives my lips a milky sheen. If I apply more in an attempted to bring out the color, it's a cringeworthy frosted pink, better suited on Barbie than on me.
Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes Pop - Iced Cranberry

The color is definitely Christmas-y, but it looks quite a bit like another small-size LE JT I have, Sweet Valentine, only with gold-red glitter (rather than a soft red shimmer) that sticks around for a little longer than the gloss does. Still, pretty and pigmented, and I'll have plenty of fun playing around with it.
Lip Gloss -Lancome - Juicy Tubes Pop - Chai Freeze
Fiammetta 10/29/2004 8:34:00 AM
Most unexpectedly, this is my favorite JT of the holiday gift set. It's a shimmery nude, much paler than I usually wear, yet rather than washing me out, it warms up my complexion, and makes my lips look fuller. And I could swear that it has a very slight taste/scent of chai, but it seems to be the usual sweetish flavor of the JT Pops.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Revlon Lustrous Lipgloss Get Reddy

This has become my Christmas lip gloss; I'll probably wear it every day during the last week of December. The red microshimmer is beautiful, and yes, truly red, not pink. LE, alas, so hurry to the drugstore!
Lip Liners -Clinique - Sheer Shaper for Lips - Black Honey

I'm loving this pencil. It's great with the Almost Lipstick of the same name, and also works with my Moisture Sheer in Honey Red, or any reddish YLBB color. It doesn't leave a hard, defined line, and blends beautifully, but the color stays put for several hours. Now to try out the other colors in the line.
OPI is definitely as great as you hear. I own about 17 of these polishes-- mostly reds, mauves, and some pale pinks-- and they're all lovely. Generally streak-free, long-lasting, and glossy. The colors are beautiful, some of them are very unique, and how can you not love them for their names? If I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be the (discontinued) Madison Mauvenue.
This is a perfect deep red for my toes. It's a bit dark to be a true red, but it's gorgeous. Slightly blue-based, I suppose, but it almost has a little brown in it, too.
This automatic pencil is giving my beloved Clinique in Roast Coffee some killer competition. It's far cheaper, and the tip of the pencil itself is much narrower, allowing me to draw a much thinner line. The color is an understated dark brown that makes it great for everyday wear. The texture is not very creamy, but that might be what keeps the color from smudging.
This is a great deep brick red, flattering and not too loud. I'd pair it with a little eyeliner and mascara, not much else, for a fall look. Thankfully, these Endless lipsticks really do stay put.
Loved this color more than I expected. It goes on a pinky lilac with icy blue shimmer, more pigmented than most other JTs. It works well with plum lipsticks, too, giving them a unique iridescence.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss- Cherries in the Glow [DISCONTINUED]
Fiammetta 6/19/2004 11:55:00 PM
This is a beautiful shiny sheer red gloss, and as all SL glosses are, it is somewhat buildable. It makes my lips look more cherry-stained than cherry red, but as shiny as it is, I love the look it gives me. Lasts as long as any gloss-- maybe five hours before you need to reapply, as long as you don't eat it off.
