Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
Endit 4/13/2008 6:33:00 PM
This is way better than the Original and Honey versions that it's not even funny. Hydrating, smooth, great smelling, and it even gives lips some sheer color and shine, almost MLBB and totally natural. And no annoying tingling sensation either. Like all Burt's Bees lip balms though, it can be waxy (self-explanitory: beesWAX), so I leave it in my pocket to warm it up, it goes on smoother then.

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Carrot Nutritive Body Lotion
Endit 4/5/2008 5:31:00 PM
This leaves me greasy, as if it doesn't soak in. Maybe I'm using too much of it. At least it's 98.67% all natural though, and I don't mind the smell. I originally didn't love or hate the smell (it was just there and I ignored it), but over time I got used to it and now it smells kinda good. It is super strong and artificial smelling though, despite being Burt's Bees. This is not what you'd think something all natural would smell like. Unfortunately it does linger though. I'd rather have it disappear.
Ingredients: Filtered water, sunflower oil, vegetable glycerin, coconut oil, stearic acid (vegetable fat), beeswax, orange wax, tocopheryl acetate & tocopherol (vitamin E), balsam peru, aloe barbadensis, carrot seed oil, sodium borate (natural borax), xanthan gum (natural thickener), sucrose stearate (sugar emulsifier), glucose, glucose oxidase & lactoperoxidase (sugar & natural enzymes), fragrance, beta carotene.

Moisturizers -Alba Botanica - Sea Lipids Daily Cream
Endit 4/5/2008 3:20:00 PM
This was a super good moisturizer. Absorbs really fast, not greasy, and it smells good too (although I could really care less). There's nothing really special about this, it just covers the basics and works. It's not 100% organic though - dimethicone, fragrance, and some other things you've probably seen hundreds of times are in this. Most of them are near the end of the ingredients though. Finding this in stores is near impossible, and if it's really cold or you're trying it as a night cream, you might have to use more.

Tinted Moisturizer -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Enhancer SPF 20
Endit 4/5/2008 3:19:00 PM
When I used to use this, it worked fine, but now that I've gone to mineral makeup, it doesn't compare. If you have any water on your face, it acts weird and totally disintegrates, and the ingredient list is filled with tons of chemicals and lots of silicones. I used to not care about them as much, but I do now. Active Ingredients: Octinoxate (7%) (Sunscreen), Octisalate (3%) (Sunscreen), Titanium Dioxide (5.1%) (Sunscreen) Ingredients: Water, Isopropyl Isostearate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Retinol, Arginine, Olive Fruit Extract (Olea Europaea), BHT, Silica, Polysorbate 20, Sclerotium Gum, Tetrasodium EDTA, Erythorbic Acid, Isostearyl Palmitate, Polysilicone 11, PEG 100 Stearate, Ammonium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, PEG 75 Stearate, Ceteth 20, Steareth 20, Ethylparaben, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, May Contain: Iron Oxides, Lauroyl Lysine

Shampoo -Kenra - Kenra Clarifying Shampoo
Endit 2/6/2008 2:12:00 AM
I could have sworn I've reviewed this before. Anyways, this is a great clarifier. Simple, short ingredient list, average price, and it smells really good too. I think it could be a little more deep cleaning, but to make up for that, it's really gentle. The bottle says that it can be used daily, and I almost think it's possible (almost because I'm not using anything marked as clarifying just in case). If you want something that cleans more, try Neutrogena's Anti-Residue Shampoo. I'm trying Nexxus Aloe Rid or Redken's Hair Cleansing Cream after this, but only because I like trying different brands.

Conditioner -Nexxus - Hydra Sleek
Endit 1/31/2008 4:00:00 PM
All I can say is wow. This leaves my hair really soft and smooth, and the shine it gives is nuts too. Overall, find it better than Sleek.look and Smooth Down. I have to warn you though, this is not for the (non-water soluble) silicone intolerant - Cyclopentasiloxane (3rd ingredient), Dimethicone (6th), and Cyclohexasiloxane (7th - never seen this silicone before either). I can use it every once in a while, but otherwise it will make my hair too tangled. I haven't experienced build up yet, but it's probably inevitable. Another thing is volume. This actually leaves my hair a bit thicker than I like (less weight because silicones don't moisturize).

Conditioner -Nexxus - Humectress Conditioner
Endit 1/20/2008 10:30:00 PM
I wish I could give this a better score, but I can't. When I first started using it, it provided the right amount of weight that I needed for my thick hair and gave amazing results. The price wasn't too bad either, so I thought I found my HG. But that's when things started getting weird. First of all, it rinses out leaving my hair feeling unconditioned. I know it's because of the mineral oil and no silicones, but it's kind of alarming and makes my wet hair harder to work with. Another thing is that if I leave it in too long, it seems to condition less. I've been using it for a couple months, and recently think it's what's been weighing down my roots and taking my texture away. It also doesn't feel as conditioning as it used to be from time to time. It either leaves my hair really soft or really rough and dry. One extreme or the other. Haven't tried it as a leave-in yet though.

Shampoo -Nexxus - sleektress
Endit 11/3/2007 4:16:00 PM
Great shampoo! When I was first using it with Hydra Sleek, I didn't think too much of it and abandoned it. Recently I've been using it again with Humectress and this is where it really excels. I have very thick hair, and this works wonders to help get it under control (I've done some research on the ingredients and now I see why - and no cones!). It also leaves me with amazing shine. The only negative might be the smell. Nice, but I can see it being too strong for some. UPDATE: I have come to the realization that while this is still a good shampoo, it is too gentle and not moisturizing enough to be paired with it's matching conditioner, Hydra Sleek. I would avoid this combo.

Shampoo -Nexxus - Therappe Shampoo

UPDATED: After using this a couple more times, I agree with BaseballGirl's review. Sometimes it works really good (and I would stick with it forever if it was consistent here), but other times it almost magnifiy's my dry hair's problems. I'm only giving it a 3 since if I use it from time to time it isn't too bad. It's cheap, smells good, and I've used it on my brushes with success as well.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - aquafresh white and shine

I had just the opposite experience! Tastes fine and looks like diamonds, but I think it made my teeth more yellow! As I continued to use it, it also seemed harsh (and my teeth are far from sensitive). Once I switched to something else, it all went away.

Gels/Soaps -Softsoap - Softsoap Pomegranate and Mango bodywash
Endit 10/9/2007 2:49:00 PM
I liked this for a month, but then it went down hill. While it smells amazing and is really cheap, it's not moisturizing. At all. The moisture-beads in it don't do a thing, and I could only see this being useful in the summer.

Masks -Mudd - 5 Minute Mask [DISCONTINUED]
Endit 8/27/2007 11:52:00 PM
Love it. Think Mint Julep Mask but better. It really tightens and cleans great, and the consistency is great! It's like a light frosting, really easy to spread. I can't really describe the smell, but it's clay-like and inoffensive. Looking at the ingredients list It's almost a carbon copy of Queen Helene's Mint Julep mask, but with added plant extracts and I feel their effects. The MJM left me dry and sometimes red, but this never does. It also rinses off better. The only thing I don't know if is it really works in 5 minutes. I use it like a regular 15+ minute mask, and will get it again.

Could be better, and I think some of it's hype. It's cheap, and it works, but it sucks everything out of my skin, leaving it really dry after.

Conditioner -Nexxus - Phyto Organics Luxxtress
Endit 8/20/2007 1:34:00 AM
This does moisturize and did see a noticeable difference once I started using it. However, it only works with wet hair too, and drys out dry hair. And you can't layer it without feeling it. Plus there might be too much protein as well! The bottle is huge though. It's a really good value.

Samples -Everyday Minerals - Free Sample Makeup Kit [DISCONTINUED/REPLACED]
Endit 8/12/2007 5:52:00 AM
Great sample kit! The price couldn't be any better, since it's free, and you can order them as many times as you want! The actual amount you get looks very small, but will last a long time, since it's loose powder after all. This is probably one of the best services any makeup company can offer. It makes finding the correct shade so easy. I wish other brands had this service as well.
