Shampoo -Redken - Fat Cat Shampoo
rated 4 of 5

I love Fat Cat! I've been using it for several years, rotating it with other Redken shampoos. It never fails to bring some volume to my fine hair and the texture is very nice, not sticky or waxy like some other thickening/volume shampoos. A must try.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Lumieres Polychromes Quad
rated 5 of 5

This is a simply gorgeous quad, texture and application are wonderful like most all chanel powder based color products. My main concern is that once it's out of the beautiful packaging and on your eyes, it's a lot of shine and the colors aren't true to appearance. Very, very shimmery - which ins't a bad thing, it just isn't the way that they look in the quad. Yes, it's goegeous, but no, I won't buy another to have o/h for when these are discontinued.

Palettes -NARS - Rapture

Another great NARS palette! The colors are nicely coordinated and I have found that this is perfect for travel, and will allow a range of looks appropriate for night or day. I'm warmer toned, and opted to this palette over Lust For Life.

This is a highly useable neutral palette, great for touchups at work! The colors are nicely coordinated. This is the first palette where I honestly have used every color!

Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets
rated 5 of 5
Crusty 1/7/2002 1:52:00 AM

My fave oil blotting sheet. It only takes one to mop the oil off of my face, where thinner paper versions will often take two. In addition, they are not coated with powder like other blotters and the price and availability are great!

Cleansers -Erno Laszlo - Sea Mud Soap
rated 1 of 5
Crusty 1/7/2002 1:48:00 AM

Soap is not good for oily skins prone to breakouts. The ingredients that hold the soap in a solid form can cause breakouts...and this product makes sense, how? A very drying way to cleanse your face, and though I do appreciate most of the Laszlo skincare regime for oily and acne prone skin, I can skip the soap and all the rinsing.

Loose Powders -Prescriptives - All Skins Powder
rated 3 of 5

Talc free is very nice, but why is there some added shimmer in here? I shimmer on my own after an hour, thanks, and powder my face to prevent just that. Otherwise, the texture, color selection and wear are wonderful! I could just do without the shine.

Blush -Lancome - Blush Subtil (all colors)
rated 4 of 5
Crusty 1/7/2002 1:40:00 AM

I love Lancome blush. The texture is gorgeous, the colors are pigmented and wearable, there is a selection of both matte and shimmery shades and the color actually lasts throughout the day. Can we ask for more? With the exception of a bit of fragrance, this is a perfect blush!

Blush -Cargo - Topeka
rated 5 of 5
Crusty 1/7/2002 1:36:00 AM

Pink, Peach and gold shimmer! This is an absolutely stunning blush that would likely look great on a range of skintones! Nice pigment and great texture, adn this huge tin, too! I was looking for something a bit less peachy than NARS 'O', and Topeka was recommended. A new fave!

Powder -Elizabeth Arden - Flawless Finish Dual Perfection Makeup
rated 3 of 5
Crusty 1/7/2002 1:33:00 AM

This is a technically a powder foundation, but most people tend to use it as a pressed powder - myself included. I use this product, but gave it three lipsticks because the color range is limited. The texture is very nice and the coverage varies depending on application. The color stays even throughout the day and there is no noticeable fragrance.

Loose Powders -Clinique - loose powder
rated 4 of 5
Crusty 1/7/2002 1:28:00 AM

This is a great powder and comes in a neutral range of shades that will likely accommodate all but the darkest skintones. Pitch the brush. Though this isn't my favorite, it has never caused breakouts, does not have added shine, and does not have fragrance - a huge bonus!

Pressed Powders -Clinique - Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder
rated 2 of 5

Applies very, very thick and tends to change color on me as the day wears on. I'll carry pressed powder for convience, but I don't find looking bad to be very convenient.

Toners -Estee Lauder - Clean Finish Purifying Toner Normal/Dry
rated 2 of 5
Crusty 1/6/2002 5:25:00 PM

I agree with MaragaretD on this one. While I have gotten used to alcohol free toners and not having that 'tingling' feling, this one left me feeling just a wee bit slimy and somewhat sticky.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint
rated 3 of 5
Crusty 1/5/2002 11:23:00 AM

I have to join the 'No' crowd here. The concept is great, and it didn't even give me problems when applied on my oily skin. However, I have some serious, serious issues with the shade: it needs to be a bit more tawny and realistic. Fuschia just does not do it for me. Also, that stiff little brush? What is that all about? BeneFit could improve this product and grow their loyal customer base, and I'm waiting....patiently.

Hair -L'Oreal - Studio Line Mega Fixing Spray
rated 1 of 5
Crusty 1/5/2002 11:09:00 AM

Yuck. Mega clumps. This definitely does not fall into the category of 'touachable' and don't get it wet! It will turn white and slimy. eeeew. It's a bit too heavy to add or maintain volume, but will keep your hair in place. just don't plan on touching, combing, getting wet...there are better options out there!
