Skincare - Face -Bliss Labs - All Types Lid/Lash Wash

This does a very poor job of removing waterproof mascara. For other kinds of eye makeup, it does a mediocre job. I expected great results because of the great reviews it received here, but this was a waste of money for me. The only good thing is that is doesn't irritate my eyes. No re-purchase.
Gels/Soaps -Anthony Logistics - Mud Scrub Exfoliating Bar
2000wattsmile 2/2/2011 4:00:00 PM
After reading glowing reviews for this bar of soap on Sephora, I plunked down $24 for two bars--one for me and one for my fiancee. This is marketed to men, but anyone could use it. What a treat! It's a minty black bar with bits of hard rolled oats. The mint creates a tingly sensation on the skin and the oats provide a decent amount of manual exfoliation, and boy does the combination feel good! It doesn't lather much, but it is a "mud" bar, so that's not really a fair expectation. The only thing I don't care for is that it leaves a gray, muddy residue in the tub after use. A small nuisance for how good it truly is. I would definitely repurchase. There were some grumblings on the Sephora site about how the bar doesn't last very long for the price--not more than two weeks with consistent use. Not sure I would use this soap everyday--it's serious business and sort of, well..special. I really don't see a need to use it more than once, maybe twice a week, max, unless you frequently get very dirty. Anyway, to try to extend its life, I've been drying the bar off after each use and storing it in a soap case. We'll see how long it lasts. If it's an issue, I will update. I also use this on my face--which is a bit of a gamble since I'm oily-skinned and acne-prone, but it hasn't caused any problems. Excellent...
This is a safe fragrance to me--not overly sweet or strong. Sits close to my skin, understated. I could definitely wear this to work. I don't see how it could be offensive, but to each her own. Also, it doesn't smell particularly masculine or feminine to me--kind of non-descript. I can't make out any of the notes. It's not bad at all, but I don't love it and wouldn't re-purchase.
Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Umberto Beverly Hills Blow Dry Lotion

I really like this product. I have chemically-straightened, fine hair, so I try to limit how much product and heat I use. I bought this at Target as a potential replacement for my HG leave-in, ABBA Pure Gentle Conditioner, which is getting harder and harder to find and I fear may soon be discontinued. This totally fit the bill and even exceeded my expectations. It left my hair bouncy and even shinier than ABBA does! Very impressive. I will definitely re-purchase.
I only wear foundation for special occasions or when I'm sleep-deprived and need extra help pulling off a fresh-faced look in the morning. I bought this foundation brush along with Studio Fix Fluid because I wanted to be able to replicate the look the SA created on me. I love the brush--I really can't imagine ever applying foundation without it. It is somewhat pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Very nice, clean almost soapy scent. The poster below said it was shampoo-like, and I agree--it smells a lot like Finesse. Also very much in the same vein as Ralph Lauren Blue. I reach for this mainly on weekends--it's a very casual, lighthearted fragrance.
Eyeliner -Sephora - Sephora Liner Electro Glitter Eye Pencil
2000wattsmile 1/3/2011 4:07:00 PM
I have this in Choc Electro and I love it. It makes a great slightly smoky yet open-eyed look--must be the color + glitter combination. I have no issues with the quality and find the price reasonable. I have paid more for higher-end pencils that I ended up not liking as much. I always have an extra one of these on hand in case it's suddenly discontinued. (Seems every product/color I love gets discontinued by the time I get around to re-purchasing.)
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Parlux - Jessica Simpson Fancy

This is gooood stuff. It was love at first sniff. For me, this is a very comforting, do-no-wrong type fragrance. Very pretty. Wow, Jessica Simpson--who knew? It's marvelous.
Highlighters -Stila - Illuminating Finishing Powder in Rose Gold
2000wattsmile 12/30/2010 7:24:00 PM
I bought this earlier this year during a Sephora clearance sale. The color is so lovely--a glowy pink with a subtle shimmer. I only use it on my lids since my skin tone is deep and I noticed that using it on my entire face is a bit...much. Using it on my eyes instantly makes me look more awake. I don't care much for the packaging--others below have commented on it's poor quality, so I won't repeat. Overall, a decent product.
Surprisingly good. Slightly above casual. My go-to fragrance when I want to smell sophisticated and sexy in an understated way.
Cleansers -Bliss Labs - Fabulous Foaming Face Wash
2000wattsmile 12/22/2010 3:53:00 PM
I recently bought a trial size of this and wow--I love it. It's a great everyday cleanser that is really refreshing. I also like that it provides some gentle exfoliation since I like for facial cleansers to do more than just clean. I will purchase the full size.
This is one of my favorite shades. Lovely deep pinkish brown. It is a great YLBB look that works well for day or night. It's matte and thus on the dry side. I usually apply a little lip balm over it after it has set. Extremely long-wearing. I hope NARS never stops making it.
I bought this in a trial- sized duo with Firebird from Sephora. Though this mascara is raven-black and I love that about it, it is poorly formulated. Not even an hour after application, it smudges. I would never buy a full sized tube of this.
Treatments -Phyto - Phytophanere Food Supplement for Hair and Nails
2000wattsmile 12/22/2010 1:53:00 PM
I used these for about four months. Yes, my hair grew. Not the hair on my head, mind you, just the hair on my face and body. I was plucking and shaving way more than usual. Even my eyelashes and nails grew--long and fabulous, but...NOT the hair on my head, which was really the only reason why I was taking them. Seems like a cruel trick. I know these have worked well for others, but not so much for me. The hair on my head probably did grow, but not in an obvious or noticeable way, so what's the point?
I really didn't like this product--it was a bit heavy and I suspect it was responsible for a few breakouts, which I rarely get. I stuck with it for a month, but I didn't see where it did anything for the discoloration on my cheeks. This may be a good product for those with drier, less acne-prone skin.
