A soft, earthy iris impression. Hiris draws you into the fragrance. I can pick up the carrot note too, and rose comes up more in the later drydown. Hiris is soft, dry, light, classy, somewhat powdery, stays-close-to-the-body sort of fragrance. Hiris is something of a chameleon, both subtle and complex. I like Hiris best in very hot weather. A point off since Hiris can be unpredictable on me and like Jardin sur le Nil, can go to an unpleasant chemical scent at times. The soft navy and burnished silver Hiris bottle in the same shape as the Caleche bottle is well-suited to this classic iris fragrance.
Apples and spices, orange spice tea, autumn days. A wine or liqueur scent also at first but that disappeared quickly. Didn't last long but that can be a good thing - I'd rather re-apply than have a scent be too strong.
My first impression is spices and grandma's attic. The iris is very soft. As others have said, a powdery and a celery-like suggestion in the drydown. Very different and interesting, could be worn by a man or woman.
Chantecaille Frangipane is a rich, subtle, dry, and classy vanilla tropical-like scent. Stays true from beginning to end, and is not overwhelming. Scent stays close to the body. One of my favorites for a predominantly vanilla scent. Expensive but worth it. So glad I bought this one.
Spicy and overpowering. If you like Opium, you may like Initial.
An earthy TEA fragrance with a lot more substance to it than most tea fragrances. Very pleasant, nice for casual or country wear.
A deep dark scent, introspective, brooding, even disturbing -- dark rose, amber, honey, a whisper of grape and spices. Go for the parfum if possible. Drives me a bit nuts actually. Vague resemblance to L'Instant in the honey and amber, but with dark rose and a touch of cinnamon. Very beautiful purple and black bottle well suited to the fragrance. Wonderful evening fragrance, gothic fragrance, but could be worn for other occasions.

CSP Fruit Sauvages is a handsome forest snd leather scent on me, with some fruitiness. Similar to Trish #9, but without the allergens of T9. Great casual/sport/outdoorsy/big city fragrance. A crossover scent that I think would work better on men than most women. But it's nice for a change in the right environment. It's pretty strong, so I spray diffusely from a distance. A tiny amount lasts all day on me.
Very warm orange blossom floral with a rich oriental feel. The sprayer dispenses some 20 times more than I want, so I decant into a vial and work from that, and I get just the right amount without being overwhelming. A fraction of a drop will fill a whole room when you're wearing this fragrance, it's quite strong.
I wanted to like this one but it was just too masculine on me. Update 2011 -- I don't know if this has been reformulated, but it seems lighter and more peppery to me now, and I really like it,

As much as I was undecided about the regular EDP (regarding drydown phases and too strong), the Legere is perfect - I'm thrilled! The Legere seems just what I had envisioned was possible for LL, from start to finish, and so much lighter. I could actually wear this in public without feeling self-conscious. This was just what I wanted. Gorgeous bottle...translucent embossed violet-lavender glass with a gold stem, just as beautiful in its own way as the original EDP bottle.
Skincare - Body -Victoria's Secret - Passionate Kisses

Passionate Kisses is a cherry scent. I LOVE the Bath Bubbles - and would give that product a 5! I really wanted to like the EDT but the various stages of drydown were more "off" than "on" for me.
Contemporary, intriguing, and edgy gardenia floral. Frankly, I don't think I could pull it off. I would like MK on someone else, could see it on a 20-30-something, dark haired, slender, fit, extroverted, sophisticated New York City woman.
Detergenty clean "big floral." Was very popular around Hollywood and the rest of Southern Califoria for a while. Reminds me of Tide laundry detergent from the 1950s.
Angel Innocent gives an impression of orange liquor, spices, tobacco, a bit of pumpkin pie, and vanilla. Great autumn or cold-weather scent. Cozy, delicious. Lots of attention from men with this one. Update Nov 09 - the current Angel Innocent is a very thinned out version of what it was about 3-5 years ago, and doesn't last as long, different texture on the skin, used to be rich and a bit oily, now watery and matte and weak. Revising this rating from a 5 to a 4. Bummer - another great scent nearly bites the dust.
